Interior Panels Dashboard problems of the 2007 GMC Sierra 1500

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that there was a crack on the passenger’s side dashboard close to the air bag housing. The contact stated that there was also a crack on the driver's side above the instrument panel and in the middle of the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed her that the manufacturer would not be responsible for the dashboard repairs in 2019. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the cracks have progressed over the years. The contact stated that she received NHTSA campaign number: 21v050000 (air bags) and the vehicle was taken to reliable Buick GMC (400 automall dr, roseville, CA 95661) for the recall repair and she was informed that she had to sign a waiver for the dashboard damages in order to replace the air bag. The contact stated that she was informed that there was a possibility of the dashboard cracking during the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was unknown.
