Tl an independent mechanic called on behalf of the owner of a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving 30 mph, the front and rear driver side curtain air bags deployed on their own and the air bag warning indicator was illuminated. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to an auto body shop to have the air bags repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 113,067.
