1 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 09/07/2017

Ac condenser failed. When researched on-line found pages of others complaining about the same issue. . . Always cracks in the same corner. GMC would not warranty. Wanted to charge $1,300 to replace their faulty condenser. Even the service dpmt admitted it was an issue. Ended up paying about half that, but the bottom line is gm has a faulty component and they are hoping they fail just outside of warranty. An ac condenser is not something that should ever (or very, very rarely) get replaced in the normal life of a vehicle, certainly not before a 100,000 miles. This should be a mandatory recall and updated or at least it should be covered for those that fail during the normal life cycle of the vehicle.

2 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 08/14/2017

A/c condenser has crack in weld on right upper weld as described by many others on forums for GMC and chevy 2014-2017 trucks. Date below is just an estimate as when the actual date is unknown. The date is when air started blowing warm.

3 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2017

Started my truck on 7/30/17 and had no cold air blowing from the vents. Drove it for the day and still nothing. Took it into the dealer on 8/2/17 and received the diagnosis of a cracked ac condenser. The fix is not possible for 6-8 weeks because there is a national backorder on a replacement condenser from GMC. This is a design issue and not a ware and tear issue. The dealerships want the owners to pay for it even though their design is at fault to begin with.

4 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2017

October 2016 a/c stopped working brought to dealer. Dealer recharged system found leak to be a/c compressor hose and bracket needed to be replaced and not under warranty customer pay. April 2017 a/c stopped working brought to dealer. Dealer recharged system found leak to be a/c condenser needs to be replaced not under warranty - customer pay. No condensers available - national back order. 50,000 miles.

5 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2015

Truck vibrated new with 8 miles when we first drove it home. Pinpointed specific speeds and returned 9+ times to dealership over 7 months. Tires (twice), shocks and rear end were all replaced but did not stop vibration. 5 months from purchase we were followed by a neighbor and they saw my truck "dog tracking" (traveling sideways down the road). Dealer noted but would not follow at distance and speed required to witness the "dog tracking". Dealer told me they were clueless and come get the truck. Local auto repair shop followed me and said there is definitely a problem. Front center of wheel to back center of wheel measures 1/2 inch less on driver side than passenger side but dealer says that is not a good measurement because their computer says everything is fine. This truck vibrates and "dog tracks" and dealership refuses to make proper offer and has given up on repair attempts. I am presently seeking help from a different dealer.

6 Carrier/rack problem

Failure Date: 12/12/2014

Discovered undercarriage frame major rusting, entire undercoating peeled and cracked away in over 70% of iron/steel structure, major rust is visual on all bolts connected to suspension and frame. GMC chat ran my v. I. N. And indicated it was manufactured in mexico. GMC corporate chat claims that my issue needs to be taken up with the dealership and to check into the state's of nh lemon law. Nh dealership claims a recent bulletin allows them to buff the frame down and reapply undercoating which their dealership is now equipped with. Dealership claims the warranty thereafter would be 3 years/36,000 miles. All warranty information in GMC warranty booklet only indicates body sheet metal at 3 years/36,000 miles for rusting, pitting and peeling of undercoat.
