I was driving down the road about a quarter mile from my house and the rear windshield on the driver side of my truck shattered. This is after I had them look at the same window for the defroster no longer seeming to be working. I've done research and seen the service bulletin n192265660, however my truck is not covered.

10 Body problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2020

The vehicle always has a smell of dampness after a rain. Somehow water is getting into the vehicle. I have replaced the seal around the third-brake light which was thought to be the culprit, but no fix. The rear seat metal has rust on them from the damp. The driver's seat creaks when making turns. It is like it about to come apart. There should be a recall on this. People could get hurt if it happens. Le under the vehicle, I noticed that a body-mount is missing under the driver's side. This could be the reasons for the creaking. I am not sure!.

11 Body problem

Failure Date: 03/12/2020

Under body coating is peeling on a brand new truck. Its rusting because the steel is completely exposed.

15 Body problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2018

This complaint is regarding excessive surface rust on not only the frame of my truck, but on critical engine component clamps in the engine bay. Any screw style hose clamp in my engine bay are rusted worse than my other 9 year old car with 102,000 miles on it. I wash my truck, including undercarriage, periodically throughout the winter to try and keep the salt off. My truck is a 2015 with 40,000 miles, and just recently, the rust had completely eaten through the lower radiator hose clamp causing all the engine coolant to leak out. I noticed the rest of the clamps within the engine bay to be in the same condition, along with the frame, and suspension components. It is clearly only a matter of time before they fail while I am driving, which could cause a failure of any system using one of these rusted clamps, such as the brake lines, power steering lines, oil lines, or transmission fluid lines.

16 Body problem

Failure Date: 08/21/2017

Scratches and clear coat flaking from road debri. Lots of chips when washed after driving.

17 Body problem

Failure Date: 09/21/2016

Design flaw in cabin air filtration system leading to health hazard within the vehicle. Mice have entered the cowl air plenum area and built nests on top of and out of the cabin air filter material. The filter has become saturated with mouse dander, feces and other materials. Eventually these contaminants work their way through the filter and an odor is noticed inside the vehicle. The mice are believed to enter this area through significant unscreened openings at the ends of a plastic cover over the plenum in the windshield wiper area under the hood. I have contacted gm with regard to this design flaw. . So far, my dealer has repair the damage and install new cabin filters at my expenses . Was told by dealer this was not covered under warranty no attempt has been made to block or screen the openings. The truck is regularly garaged with an other non-gm vehicles that do not have this problem. Individuals with respiratory conditions should be concerned about the significant plenum design flaw in these gm trucks.

18 Body problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2015

Headlights are inadequate on high or low beams. It seems that the light is focused into two narrow beams in an effort to make up for the low lumen level of the led bulbs. These narrow beams don't light up enough of what is in front of you for night driving. I have to use my fog lamps to turn onto streets without street lights on the corner. The recirculating switch for the ventilation system will not even reduce the amount of outside air coming into the cabin, much less occlude it. Not good in 5 o:clock traffic or when your behind a diesel burner. The dealership acts like they are clueless and say everything is working as it should. After reading this form with so many headlight complaints, I asked if they had ever gotten any complaints like mine and they denied that they ever have; and they did it with a straight face!.

19 Body problem

Failure Date: 07/20/2015

Design flaw in cabin air filtration system leading to health hazard within the vehicle. On two occasions in my first 16 months of ownership, mice have entered the cowl air plenum area and built nests on top of and out of the cabin air filter material. Both times the filter has become saturated with mouse dander, feces and other materials. Their only response was to establish their case number 711507394608. No further action was taken. So far, my dealer has continued to repair the damage and install new cabin filters. No attempt has been made to block or screen the openings. The truck is regularly garaged with two other non-gm vehicles that do not have this problem. Individuals with respiratory conditions should be concerned about the significant plenum design flaw in these gm trucks.
