Paint is literally falling off in chunks. I baby my truck. Its mint condition, but I noticed the paint is not adhering to the primer in atleast 2 spots. After some rain, the paint just fell off the vehicle. Gm refuses to assist in repairing. For the cost of the vehicle this is absolutely a major issue. This vehicle has no claims or previous body damage.
On several occasions all sounds from door chime, radio, onstar, etc. Have failed. Further the paint is beginning to blister from underneath. Gm is denying both problems exist. Gm says the paint issue is due to application of an extreme heat source. Arizona is hot, but not that hot. The sound issue is a safety hazard. The paint issue is typical corporate denial of legitimate claims.
2015 GMC sierra paint is blistering and peeling in truck bed. Never hauled anything in it. GMC dealership's body shop said factory paint didn't stick to the primer. Coming off in big pieces. Had truck for 3 1/2 years. Called GMC and GMC said out of warranty.
2015 GMC sierra paint is blistering and peeling in the truck bed. Contacted GMC thru their app and the said to take to the dealership body shop. They took pictures and said it looks like the paint wasn't sticking to the primer. GMC said the truck was out of warranty. I could have someone repaint it at my own expense.
The paint on my 2015 GMC sierra is bubbling and peeling. After much research I found that this a consistent defect on my year vehicle. I contacted GMC and my dealer thorson GMC in pasadena California. The service manager at thorson GMC don schwartz had his body shop look at the paint on my truck and his response to me was that the paint on the chipping areas on my truck, both rear doors and the roof, was extremely thin and that he would try to get GMC to repaint my doors and roof at their expense. Two weeks later mr. Schwartz calls me back and tells me that GMC is only willing to pay 40% of a $5000 paint repair and that I would have to pay $3140 if I wanted my chips repaired. I feel that this is ridiculous to have to pay for an obvious factory defect. Additionally I really feel for the thousands of people facing the same problem because gm didn't paint their vehicles correctly.
Paint peeling down to primer coat in various areas on the truck. Not chips, dents or dings. This is paint failure.
