The dfm program in the engine caused the lifters to fail and bend a pushrod which in turn scared the cam shaft. There were no signs leading up to this. It caused the traction control and brake systems to be compromised. I took vehicle into a gm dealer and had it diagnosed.
I was driving with my wife about to merge into traffic on the interstate when I had a huge power loss. It was a busy part of the interstate where I could have been ran over. There was a lot of traffic and was fortunate the semi driver was alert and slowed down. I was not aware of any failures of this motor or received any notices from gm. After conducting research I found that this was a know issue that gm failed to report. My truck has been serviced regularly and until that point had not given any signs of a upcoming failure, I have read that gm is looking into other years such as 2019 which mine is. I have had no luck with gm customer care with the only response being I need to crunch the numbers from my claim advisor. I have the 6. 2 l87 motor and know of the clip failure do to poor assembly and parts and debris getting into the motor causing the failure. I am looking to report this and request any assistance available. My first stop was the dealership, then gm customer care.
When accelerating it will over rev and then slip and then punch foward I had a diagnostic did and the sensor in the transmission aren't working properly and then when just driving my etrak also randomly went out and I can no longer active cruise controll.
The contact owns a 2019 GMC sierra. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at 40 mph the vehicle proceeded to jerk and shift into the lower gears, the vehicle's acceleration speed was reduced to 15 mph. The service parking brake and the esc light were illuminated. The contact proceeded to drive to their residence, whereupon parking the vehicle the contact proceeded to inspect the vehicle from outside, the contact noted that there was a distinct smell of something burning, and upon inspecting the rims of the vehicle they were very hot. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed the contact was advised that there was nothing to be found wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.

Transmission jerks, slams, forces a feeling of being rear-ended, delayed acceleration with sudden engagement causing uncontrolled acceleration. I've had it looked at every time I've taken it into the dealership for regular maintenance. They haven't been able to reproduce it as it only happens once, first time after not driving it for a while. No warning lamps or messages ever appear.
1st time engine check light came on had brake control updated. 2nd did auto start and after that truck will not start.
