The contact turned off the vehicle and waited for a while before attempting to restart the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated that the “service steering column” message was then displayed on the instrument panel. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,140.
