The speed of the truck will not increase. The rpms goes really high and the truck will not move into the next gear. The rear end of truck vibrates. I took this to the dealer and was told it is the transmission fluid is faulty. The check engine light does come on. I did not have the new transmission fluid changed because dealer said is cost $300 for the fluid and $100 for the labor and $168 for the diagnostics. So I still have the same problem. Also told you can not purchase this transmission fluid no where but GMC.

The truck stated to have the check engine light on, by the time that happened the brakes were hard to step on it and the steering wheel hard to turn, I had been asking to GMC superior of siloam springs to check the truck because, got scared while I couldn't make stop the truck while on traffic, but they don't had open appointments for that day or the other following days, so a week after they got one and I missed because my work, I set another one at GMC on springdale but they want me to charge me whenever the truck has an extended warranty, so I told them to leave it like that so finally got another appointment at siloam springs location but while driving down there the same thing happened all the light on warning messages on the dash board start showing up and the brakes were hard to step on it and the steering wheel hard to turn, I got told them what was happening, about and how exactly happened. That day after 30 minutes I got a call saying that it was fixed I still asked if they were sure he said yes, the next day I almost crashed with a neighbor at my work place because I couldn't stop the truck, so today I took back the truck and the guy at the desk told me that they may just erase the codes and don't really checked what was wrong, I'm just filling this report because even if I got full coverage on that truck, I'm not gonna be responsible if I'm involved in an accident.

When I slow down to make a turn, my truck loses power making the turn very dangerous. I lose control of the vehicle for a few seconds due to loss of power. It is very dangerous for me to make turns.

It turned off while driving on freeway I immediately put on n and start back up. It also pulls back as I’m driving normal 35mph. My rpm gaug goes up to 3 while driving down hill and locks.
The truck displayed warning lights for abs, traction control, trailer brakes, and front park assist. Additionally speed control (cruise) did not function. This presented a safety issue. I took to dealer ASAP. They repaired by replacing left rear wheel speed sensor. Cost about $216. Appears to work correctly at this time.
I investigated and unintended acceleration crash that occurred on 8-9-2021. The vehicle had just left a body shop where it had repairs to the left front of the vehicle near the ecm. The driver reported the vehicle would not slow down. He face timed a witness and showed her his foot was on the brake and not the accelerator pedal collaborating his statement. The 2020 GMC accelerated to 93 miles per hour crashing into the back of a Cadillac escalade. Upon impact the fuel tank of the Cadillac exploded igniting both vehicles on fire and burning a fed-x truck that was folded in half from the sever impact. The edr report stated the brakes were applied fully for a full 5 seconds prior to the crash while the vehicle was still accelerating. The accelerator was reading a constant 57% during the lead up to the crash and the brake rotors showed heat related glazing from excessive braking. The engine torque was also at 1023nm leading up to impact collaborating unintended acceleration further. Based on the evidence gathered my opinion is there was a short in the components in the left front of the vehicle most likely the ecm harness that caused the crash. It is unknown if the damage was caused by the previous crash, the body repairs or a manufacture defect at this time. The radiator had also just been replaced so moisture could have contributed to the malfunction. If moisture shorts app-1 to app-2 the safety systems can fail to detect a single fault because it causes redundant faults.
Transmission control module since the summer of 2020 the vehicle has at least half a dozen times, without warning, experienced the following symptoms (most recently July 27, 2021 when I captured it on video). 1. Power door locks begin cycling open and closed 2. Intermittent chime operation 3. Transmission locks into a single gear and won't shift or will shift harshly 4. Gauges fluctuate 5. Traction control and stabilitrak turn off 6. Service traction control and service stabilitrak messages appear 7. Transmission position indicator disappears.

Transmission jerks, slams, forces a feeling of being rear-ended, delayed acceleration with sudden engagement causing uncontrolled acceleration. I've had it looked at every time I've taken it into the dealership for regular maintenance. They haven't been able to reproduce it as it only happens once, first time after not driving it for a while. No warning lamps or messages ever appear.

Vehicle suddenly went into reduced engine power while driving in heavy traffic. Vehicle immediately began to slow down and although there was some throttle response it was difficult to maneuver through traffic to get to the side of the road. This event happened around the 31,000 mile mark. The reduced engine power message came on, but I do not remember hearing an audible alert. Being a 40 year automotive technician for gm, I am familiar with pulling codes and replacing parts. I called the dealership to see if this was covered by warranty and was told no. After pulling the codes, I personally replaced the throttle body sensor and the accelerator pedal assembly, but the vehicle continued to go into reduced engine power mode. I took the vehicle into the dealership and they diagnosed the cause as a corroded connector. The connector was replaced and the vehicle was returned to me. After a little over one month and less than 1,000 miles the vehicle is once again going into reduced engine power mode. I can have my vehicle available for inspection if necessary.
1st time engine check light came on had brake control updated. 2nd did auto start and after that truck will not start. After 3 hours can start the truck but brake control traction control abs were off. Engine has reduce power. Dealer updated the truck and check battery. 3rd time truck will not power on. After jump starting the truck it pops up all of previous message. And running board keep popping in and out and truck will still drain power ebven when off.
Issue 1: front left sensor(s), after a rain, car wash and now after an oil change, continuously vibrates the drivers seat and the red light warning stays lite indicating that an obstacle is located near the left front of the truck. This has happened on several occasions and after a time both indicator stop. Issue 2: when traveling on a freeway, twice now, the cruise control suddenly disengaged or decreased mileage, as if it had detected a vehicle in front of us. There was no vehicle within a quarter mile of us front or back, nor any vehicles on the side. No debris in the road either. Usually when the adaptive cruise is set and detects something in front the icons on the dash turn orange and starts to flash. That didn't happen, rather the cruise icon changed to blue in color and the truck slowed. This I would consider a safety risk. Both instances (December 2020 and April 2021) have been reported to a dealership and noted in a file. When the customer care person attempted to get malfunction codes, nothing appeared to be wrong with the vehicle.
I was driving down the road and all of the sudden it was if my transmission disengaged and my car lost power. It then automatically came back on and the service stabilitrak lights came on. I nearly avoided an accident and was able to pull off onto the side of the road.
When stationary I pushed in on the gas throttle to go it didn't go so I pushed in a little more and it accelerated to fast then like it jumps. It also is shaking at certain speeds.

I own a 2019 GMC sierra denali 1500 crew cab. After starting my vehicle and beginning my journey home. Sever warning indications of problems came on my dashboard system. While driving, the brake failure indicator illuminated and the vehicle would not immediately stop when depressing the brake pedal. Also, several warning indicators illuminated, including the power steering, service esc, brake system failure 62 mph top speed, steering assist is reduced drive with care, service trailer brake system, abs, and trailer towing warning message indicating that the vehicle would not accelerate above 62 mph. In addition, the steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn in either direction.
Lost of acceleration at a set speed the throtal stopped to increase the speed and just flooped to floor. When the speed slowed to a set point, acceleration control returned. When it hit the high setting it again lost control to increase speed. This happened every time I reached the drop off speed. Why dose this happen??? one time I was on a highway passing two trucks on a upgrade when this happened the #2 truck went to pass #1, the #2 truck was on my rear thank god acceleration returned. I reported this occurance to manufacture & to "NHTSA" over a year ago. I got "no" answers or responce from anyone!!!.
Transmission shifts hard and seemingly late and early (sometimes to the extent where it feels like someone is slamming into the vehicle). This has happened since purchase in 2019 ( when I told them about it them about it they tried to tell me it was normal and acted like I was a fool), continues to get worse especially in stop and go traffic at lower speeds, but does it at all different speeds.

Transmission has failed from 4th gear up (3) times within 91,000 miles. When going at speeds more than 50 miles an hour, the transmission will break and lose forward motion causing a safety issue with oncoming traffic. The transmission was "rebuilt" at lafontaine GMC of highland, mi (2) times and they are telling me they are going to "rebuild" it a 3rd time. Just wanted to note safety issue so when this happens in the future I will have a legal avenue.
Truck shift into gear very roughly. Shakes when driving through all speeds. Feels as if something is falling off the truck.
The truck lurches forward as if the accelerator is being depressed while coming to a stop obviously while depressing the brake. This causes dangerous situations every day in traffic. I have not found any solutions to the problem online. Reprogramming computer and replacing other speed control modules has not solve the problem for other drivers.
Train horn at hwy us 1 in bunnell at belle terre is tooo loud daily. This is is between 2200hrs and 0400 hrs daily its too much. It wakes family, baby, wife.
The vehicle 4wd system remains engaged and will not disengage. Upon further investigation the system effects steering and drivability. Also effects speed of the vehicle. The vehicle utilizes a code c0398 and show a message of the dash service 4wd. This is due to faulty software installed by the manufacturer. Will cause damage to mechanical parts if driven on the vehicle and is a safety hazard. Gm reference # issued to me when issue complaint of the out of pocket cost to update the software as required by gm to fix their operating system. My reference number is 9-5058496526. Same issue resulted in 2015 GMC sierras that caused gm to issue a service bulletin #28770. Software issues are not wear and tear components. Gm faulty software is the responsibility of the gm as they can cause safety and damage to the mechanical parts of the vehicle.
Life threatening safety problem: while merging into high-speed traffic on i485 freeway in charlotte nc, my 2010 GMC sierra rapidly decelerated from approximately 65 mph to 10 mph. Two tractor-trailer trucks going at least 70 mph narrowly avoided rear-ending me . Only the lack of traffic on there right side prevented a major disaster. My dashboard showed a engine power is reduced/service traction control/service sabilitrak warnings, and the engine idled erratically as I maneuvered off the to the side of the highway. There was no throttle response. This engineer design put the safety and lives of many at risk by dumping engine power to what is the equivalent of slamming on the breaks at high speed without warning. In April 2018, approximately 8 months ago, I had the exact same problem while driving in my neighborhood road. An authorized dealer completed a $679 replacement of my throttle-body gasket and gas pedal assembly (see attached receipt). The truck drove without issue until this incident. I didn't think this was a serious safety issue because it did not happen at high speed. Now, I have the same problem occurring at a high rate of speed on the highway. Finally, the dealer explains that there are multiple issues that can cause this malfunction and they are now completing another $600+ repair, replacing multiple parts (repair bill not yet available). Based on this troubleshooting and repair history, a consumer is never getting a guaranteed permanent fix for this problem. This begs the obvious question, of why is there a designed malfunction that jeopardizes safety in this manner?.

I was driving on the interstate and a message stating "service stabilitrack" message appears simultaneously with the check engine light and service traction control, the car loses the ability to accelerate and maintain speed. I kept driving because there was no safe place to stop, and after a few miles the door locks unlocked then locked, the info screen flashed and then the engine revved and appeared to drive normally. Several miles later it happened again, over and over. When I reached my nieghborhood the car completely powered off.
We had the vehicle recall notice about the stability and power assist repaired at our preferred gm dealership, james wood, before the problem occurred because of a recall notice we received last year. Sunday, January 30, 2018 the dash displayed power assist limited and also displayed abs light . Service engine soon, so we brought it to the dealership again. This time the vehicle was revving high but no display. The dealership observed the vehicle doing this but we were told the recall had already been performed. There is a revised product safety recall reference number n172085440. I'm alerting the NHTSA of this.
Issue #1-while driving the vehicle stablitrak warning light, traction control, engine power reduced, and brake light all came on. Vehicles engine power was suddenly reduced to about 10 mph while driving on the interstate in which I found to be very dangerous! had to pull over, turned off vehicle, lights went off, started driving again, vehicle did the same thing. Had to take in for mechanical repairs. Issue #2- key ignition switch just started locking up on the vehicle, would not turn back to normal to position, had to repeatedly keep jiggling for over 30 minutes or so to get the vehicle started back up?? had to take vehicle to dealer for repairs also. These are very unsafe and costly issues that GMC should be mandatorily required to have recalled and immediately addressed for the safety of the general public!!.

Vehicle is shutting off at any given speed, ie. 35 mph in town or 70 mph on a highway with oncoming traffic. When vehicle shuts off, loss of all control of the vehicle takes place. No brakes, no steering, nothing until the vehicle randomly turns back on. This is not a consistent occurrence to know when it is going to happen or be prepared for it to happen. I watched my husband shoot across the road into the other lane and almost put the vehicle over a bank one night when it happened. This has been an issue since January 2018 for us, we have taken it to the dealer where it was purchased multiple times for them to tell us they can't duplicate the issue and nothing is coming up in their system for an error code. It has caused a major inconvenience for my family, as we don't dare put our children in the truck leaving the responsibility solely on one parent to transport the kids to and from daycare. I worry for the safety of my husband on a daily basis.
The contact owns a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving approximately 40 mph through a snow bank, the check engine and traction warning indicators illuminated. The stability track indicator signaled the system to be off and needed servicing. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The contact spoke with a certified mechanic who stated that the throttle body, brake sensor switch, and faulty air intake system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and directed the contact to NHTSA and/or the dealer. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 11,458.
The contact owns a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle lost power. Also, the traction control, service engine, and reduced engine power indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (betten baker Buick, 2901 28th st, grandville, mi, 49418, phone number: 616-530-9191) where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The contact was referred to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

Yesterday I was driving home on the highway driving approximately 75mph when without any warning a stability steering control light flashed on the dashboard behind my steering wheel. The car immediately jolted from driving mid 70's down to an immediate 67mph. This speed limit was the last thing that flashed before my dashboard blacked out, the steering column locked and the vehicle entirely lost power while driving. Seconds later my windshield wipers sporadically started moving (I did not engage the switch) and I watched the temperature go up from 70 to 80 without touching the gauge manually. The car jolted for almost 10 miles sporadically losing control intermittently and when I exited off the highway and made a left hand turn at a low speed (under 15mph) the steering completely locked and the car pulled off to the side of the road toward a curb. I gained control of the vehicle manually which was difficult but I did correct the drive path back onto the road. I pulled into the dealership at a low rate of speed and the car did the same thing as it did when I exited the highway. I'm in a loaner and the dealer has my vehicle. This vehicle was purchased used roughly 2 months ago from a registered GMC dealer with 40k miles on it. It now has roughly 44k on it. I have made 1 payment on this vehicle thus far.
Complete loss of power steering along with speed control being disabled when a turn signal is activated. Recall 17v414000 has already been completed and did not correct the problem. Both of these issues occur during the same drive cycle (issues have not happened simultaneously but will both occur at some point during the same drive cycle) they seem to only happen on drive cycles that last longer than 45 minutes.
Tl-the contact owns a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving the gear shifted into neutral inadvertently and caused the vehicle to abruptly accelerate. The contact also stated the vehicle consume the engine oil prematurely and exhibited electrical failure with the windows opening and closing on its own and headlights electrical failing to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the failures however; the dealer advised there was nothing they could do to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000. Li.
