Tl- the contact owns a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle, the abs light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact stated that he turned the vehicle off and the abs was still operating and it caused the battery to drain. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that there was a shortage in the abs and that there was nothing that was wrong with the brakes. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer not notified. The failure mileage was 130,000. The VIN was unavailable. Ap.
For about the last year we have been having abs light issues and have had brakes replaced, wheel bearings replaced, hubs replaced. Mechanic assured everything fine. Have had complete loss of brakes twice in last year. Latest failure was one week ago. . . Brakes failed, went to floor but did not hit anything as was in parking lot. Mechanic found corrosion on the brake line and replaced section of the line involved.
