Firestone destination a/t lt285/75r16 tires - catastrophic failure of tire while traveling at 60 mph in middle lane of three lane hwy. No puncture. Side wall blew out . Tires had only 15,000 miles.
New looking snow tire, tread separated from tire. Approx. 62 mph doing damage to truck wheel well. Tire did not go flat. Check other three matching tires , all looked ok. Continued on trip, parked for the night. Approx. 70 more miles into trip other rear tire separated and went flat, causing damage to other side of pickup wheel well. Called aaa tow to tire store for a new set of four. Pickup is an GMC 2500 hd, 2006. Between the two separations approx. 6500. 00 dollars damage.
