Engine Problems of GMC Sierra 2500

The contact owns a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500. When the contact attempted to drive the vehicle, she heard a ratchet sound underneath the vehicle. The vehicle jerked forward slightly. She also noticed that all of the warning lights on the instrument panel were illuminated. The vehicle is currently being diagnosed by the dealer. The failures have been occurring ever since the vehicle was purchased. The current and failure mileages were 515.

I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500hd with the 8. 1l engine that is exhibiting the exact same symptoms that led to the recall of the 2001 model. (NHTSA # 07v521000). One minute I'll be driving down the freeway and the next minute the engine will stop running. This has happened numerous times. Sometimes it'll restart before it comes to a stop. Sometimes it will take several minutes after it's come to a stop. I've researched it on-line, and it would appear that this problem is not restricted to the 2001 models. The date I've listed is when I first remember it happening. It's very intermittent. It's getting worse.

Knock in 5. 7 g. M. Motor with 60,000 miles. I was told this is a common problem and it would go away after the truck is started cold this is normal. How can this be normal? how can gm get away with this? I bought the truck new in 1998 and have all the oil change records at every 3000 miles. Now around 70,000 I will be looking to put in a new motor. Is there any place I can go for help on this problem and do you have other complaints?.
