Air Bag Not Deploy Problems of GMC Sonoma

Our son was involved in a accident on 09/15/2013 where he was traveling north bound on soldiers home road in moraine ohio. His truck went of the right side of the road, when it did he accidentally hit the gas and not the brake. Truck then hit an electric pole as it picked up speed broke a tie rod in half. He then lost control as it flew across the street still increasing speed. At that time he hit 2 trees and a fire hydrant, then the truck spun and the rear wrapped around another tree. The airbags did not deploy either driver or passenger side. He was killed on impact and the passenger did survive.

I had a 97 GMC Sonoma that I was going down a dirt road about 30-35 mph and swerved to miss a truck coming on my side of the road and lost traction and flipped over a hill and rolled 3 times and the airbags didnt deploy and the drivers seatbelt snapped .

: the contact stated while driving 35 mph attempting to apply brake pressure the vehicle was involved in a crash and the frontal airbags did not deploy. The driver was wearing a seat belt and a police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle sustained frontal damage and was able to be driven home. The dealership was alerted but no appointment has been made for inspection. Updated 4/6/2006 - the consumer has back pain as a result of the accident.

While driving 65 mph consumer hit a cow in the road, and the air bags did not deploy. Took vehicle to dealership, where the mechanic had not resolved the problem.

While pulling out of parking lot and going a ways down the road and upon approaching vehicles, consumer attempted to brake and brake pedal went to the floor, resulting in rear end collision. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy.

Consumer was driving at approximately 40 mph when another vehicle suddenly pulled out in front , consumer hit vehicle with front end , and dual airbags did not deploy, causing injuries. There was no indication or warning of defective airbags system. Vehicle had $3,000-$5000 worth of damages ,and it was mostly likely totaled.

I was involved in a rearend collision whith another car at 50-60 mph, the air bags failed to deploy. Difference in speed of vehicles was 15-20 mph.

While son was driving about 65 mph and when trying to avoid hitting a deer, crashed vehicle into a divider wall , and air bags did not deploy.

While driving at about 35-45 mph, trying to slow down and make a turn, and brakes went to the floor. Consumer lost control of vehicle and crashed into two trees, and air bag did not deploy.

While driving at a speed of 40 mph customer had a head-on collision, and the air bags did not deploy. Dealer was contacted and they stated that there was nothing wrong.

Vehicle was involved in a left front head-on collision in which both air bags failed to deploy. Dealer notified.

Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision at 30 mph. Upon impact, driver's air bag failed to deploy. Dealer notified.

Was driving at 25mph when another vehicle ran stop sign and struck the consumer, causing him to hit another vehicle. Air bag failed to deploy, resulting in an injury, dealer nofitied.

When applying the abs brakes in a sudden stop, the brake failed to stop the vehicle, causing an accident in which the driver's side air bag did not deploy.

During a frontal impact accident at 35 mph, the driver's side air bag did not deploy.

In front-end accident at more than 45mph, air bag did not deploy.

Upon impact, during frontal crash, at approx. 45mph, no braking, 12:30 on front bumper, airbag failed to deploy.

Consumer loss control of the vehicle and hit a tree, and the airbags failed to deploy.

The vehicle hit 2 trees head-on at 50mph, and the driver side airbag did not deploy. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
