1998 GMC Sonoma highrider 4x4. The handle on the bucket seats that lets the seats decline are broke off they are made out of cheap metal. My mom owns a 1998 chevy blazer same thing,also on the third door the handle that opens it breaks easily.

1998 GMC Sonoma experiencing problems with the brake lights and the windshield wipers. The brake lights would not go off, the windshield wipers failed in rainy weather, the power windows failed, the recliner handle had broken off, and the handle to the side door had broken as well.

5 Door Hinge problem of the 1999 GMC Sonoma

Failure Date: 07/01/2003

The contact stated the door hinge on the driver's side wore out. The worn door hinge resulted in a hole on the door frame along the inner panel. The hinge was replaced once before by a mechanic. The problem recurred, and the contact had difficulty opening and closing the door. He has not taken the vehicle to a dealer for inspection of this ongoing problem.

9 Door Hinge problem of the 2000 GMC Sonoma

Failure Date: 01/01/1901

Consumer states oil cooler line went bad and engine has a rattle when it is cold, also the rocker arm makes a noise when it is hot. The rear differential pinion seal was bad. It was replaced, but there is still a bad growl coming from the rear end when the consumer accelerates. The left door rattled, the right upper door hinges bushings were bad, there was no grease on the front ball joints, the front actuator motor for the 4-wheel drive was replaced.

10 Door Hinge problem of the 2003 GMC Sonoma

The driver door seemed to be off the hinges which allowed air and water to enter the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the dealer refused to correct the problem because they believed the consumer caused the problem.
