One problem related to power assist brake vacuum has been reported for the 1996 GMC Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Hydraulic booster failed, together with constant poor braking performance for 3 yrs. Replacement part is almost impossible to find and over $800! gm contacted but would offer no assistance, even though they have had several complaints.
