One problem related to rear window defogger has been reported for the 1999 GMC Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When starting the engine vehicle surges forward. This would occur when the vehicle was placed in reverse and then into park. This problem would occur at least five time per week. The left rear upper portion of the rear window defogger grid was inoperative and there were times when the vehicle was started and the vehicle would lurch forward while in the park position.
