Without warning vehicle stalled while the consumer was driving at an undetermined speed. Consumer contacted with dealer on two separate occasions, but problem still occurs.

Failure Date: 08/10/2001

Vehicle will stall when coming to a stop, has also stalled once at 60 mph.

Intermittently vehicle will stall out and die without warning. Dealer is inspecting vehicle and has not been able to duplicate problem. Consumer states that vehicle has stalled while putting vehicle in park without turning ignition off.

Failure Date: 04/14/2000

Over the last three years there has been stalling problem. This problem could cause a crash. Truck has been to the dealership three times since October, 1999 for this problem. Dealer was not able to find out whatwas causing the truck to stall.

6 Car Stall problem of the 1997 GMC Suburban

Failure Date: 01/01/1997

Intermittently while driving below 20 mph, vehicle will stall unexpectedly, losing all power steering/brakes. Also, may lose control of the vehicle. Been to dealer. Dealer cannot determine the problem. Please provide further information.

Vehicle would stall out at any speed, which cauised fuel pump to burn out, vehicle would not restart after this incident. Consumer had repl three fuel pumps replaced, but, problem was still reoccurring. Asking NHTSA assistance in this matter. Provide any further information on this matter.
