The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the defroster needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 3 Defogger problem of the 2010 GMC Terrain

Failure Date: 06/02/2011

The contact owns a 2010 GMC Terrain. While operating the vehicle, the defroster and defogger systems malfunctioned and become inoperable. The failure occurred intermittently. 4 Defogger problem of the 2010 GMC Terrain

Failure Date: 05/13/2010

The contact owns a 2010 GMC Terrain. The contact stated she received a recall notice for recall 09v489000 (visibility: defroster/ defogger system, gm safety recall #090298). The software in the center of the instrument panel caused the heating, air conditioning, defrost, and radio controls, as well as the panel illumination to fail. The vehicle was taken to the local dealership where the computer module in the center instrument panel was replaced. However, the repair did not remedy the problem. The vehicle was taken back to the dealership and she was told they replaced the instrument panel and cannot explain the reason why it is not functioning properly. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that someone would return her call about the repair costs. The current and failure mileages were approximately 21,000.
