One problem related to speed sensor has been reported for the 1998 GMC Yukon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The speed sensor in the power steering system causes the steering to change from very stiff (I. E. , difficult to turn the steering wheel) to very loose (I. E. , very easy to turn the steering wheel). This problem also caused the driver to nearly loose contol of the vehicle while driving on the interstate.
