Transmission Failure problems of the 1998 GMC Yukon

1 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 03/07/2003

The automatic transmission failed.

2 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 12/15/2001

Complete transmission failure with out notice. Purchased extened service plan, 2,700 past warrenty and will not honor. Only 98000 miles. Yukon was never used off road or to haul anything heavy.

3 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 08/15/2000

Transmission failed without warning. No 2nd gear or reverse. Truck has never been taken off road or pulled a trailer. Gm is reviewing the case as it is out of the original 36 mo. / 36,000 mi. Warranty.
