The consumer experienced various steering, suspension and transfer case problems with her 2001 GMC Yukon. The cigarette lighter was hanging out. The dealer replaced the housing and element. The parking brake shoes were replaced. Teflon grease was installed on driveshaft to alleviate the bumpiness in the rear. License plate light fogged up. The dealer replaced the lamp. The driveshaft was replaced along with the yoke at the rear u-joint. The consumer heard a clunking noise when putting the vehicle in reverse. The dealer determined that the transfer case chain had stretched. The dealer r and r the transfer case and replaced the chain.
Complaint against general motor corporation. The consumer complained that his vehicle came off the assembly line with a defect in the voltage to bulb configuration that caused the bulbs to burn out. The cruise control began to malfunction at 45000 miles. The tires lose air periodically (second set). The running board lights failed.
While transmission was placed in park and vehicle was turned off, consumer's child moved transmission from park into drive without stepping on gas pedal or brake pedal. Contacted dealer. The consumer stated that when the ignition key is "c" position, the vehicle can be shifted out of park. There is no door ajar system for passenger doors.
