I own a 2002 chevy tahoe, and I'm in charge of servicing three, 2002 and 2003 GMC Yukons for my place of employment. The middle row seats in all of these have seatbelt issues. These are extremely expensive to fix or replace and all four vehicles that I deal with have at least one of the shoulder belts in that middle row seat that either wont come out or won't retract.
Front passenger seatbelt has always locked up after being put on, which does not allow the passenger the ability to move more than a couple of inches at best.
When we purchased our vehicle we noticed the head liner plugs were missing they told us to bring the car back and they will put them in. They attemepted to install the plugs and noticed there were no clips installed in this vehicle. Never inspected ,also on 2-1-02 we were driving in the vehicle were my daughters were in the back seat with there seat belts on and my husband stepped on his brakes my 10 yr. Old fell forward and hit her head on the seat in front of her and she said my seat belt came out we turned and saw that the bolt of the seat belt was all the way out. We think this car has never been properly inspected.
