1 Traction Control Light On problem

Failure Date: 04/20/2015

The contact owns a 2004 GMC Yukon denali. The contact stated that the traction control light illuminated and the vehicle became difficult to maneuver. When the failure occurred, the vehicle slammed to a stop as if someone struck the vehicle from the rear. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the traction control sensor was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 116,000. The VIN was not available.

2 Traction Control Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/14/2009

Traction active appears on display - while stopped at a very dangerous intersection, I pressed the accelerator only to have the traction active light appear on the display and the vehicle would not move. I had to let off the gas and then press it again in order for the vehicle to move. This is a major safety concern as I am unable to accelerate at an appropriate speed in order to avoid an accident while taking off from a stop.
