general problems of the 2005 GMC Yukon

Getting gas and it keeps clicking,.

After getting full tune up my engine starts ticking when I start my my car after a while of driving the ticking stops car stalls while driving and check engine blinks on and off . Already changed coils from instructed read still get stalling. Brake booster light is on and I have a fuel smell that comes and goes while driving.

While driving I hear a winding sound coming from wheel area while driving I smell fuel that comes and goes recently had full tune up now car starts to tick after a while of driving or even pressing on gas while in park it stops while driving car stalls and indicates coil is bad from check engine light being on I had changed coils and car still stalls.

The contact owns a 2005 GMC Yukon. While driving unknown speeds, there was a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that there were holes in the fuel line due to the lines being too close and rubbing together. The fuel lines were replaced. The manufacturer was notified and stated that the warranty had expired. No further assistance was offered by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 275,000.

The vehicle's engine shuts off while driving. Without warning. This happens at various speeds. Loss of brakes and power steering occurs after engine shuts off. This has happened on several occasions at varying speeds. Speed varying between 30 mph to 70 mph. Engine will restart (be turned back on after wait time at the ignition) and drive following these incidents, however incidents reoccur. Also upon taking it to a GMC Chevrolet dealership for inspection, service department was unable to find any "codes" related to this. Fuel pressure was tested in stationary position and in driving and fuel pressure appeared fine. Dealership noted no issues. Upon picking the vehicle up after inspection the engine cut out again while driving on the way home, again without warning. Incidents occurred on dry roads. Outside temperatures have varied from 50 f to 90 f and length of drive time has also varied from three hours at time of occurrence to only minutes after start up. Incidents happen at random and not every time vehicle is driven.

The contact owns a 2005 GMC Yukon denali. The contact stated that fuel fumes emitted around the vehicle. The contact mentioned after inspecting the vehicle there were no visible leaks. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 171,000.

I bought my 05' GMC Yukon denali new. Airbag light continuously on - reads, service airbag. I have taken it in for service several times but miraculously the GMC service center says the light doesn't come on when they have it. Pffftt!- 2005 to present! heater & ac (hvac) temperature improper temperature or air delivery. Year of occurrence - 2010 electrical system has mind of its own. Lights on dash, cd and tape don't work. Year of occurrence - 2005/6 both cd player's and tape cassette player haven't worked since 2006/7 fuel system sporadically reads- check gas cap. Gasoline gage doesn't work. Year of occurrence- 2010 check engine light comes on sporadically- 2008 to present. Locks don't work properly- 2009 rear window defogger wire terminal broken off of window glass- year of occurrence - 2005/6 the keyless entry system stopped working. I have replaced key fobs and batteries several time's it will work for a week then fail. Year of occurrence -2007/08 rear passenger window's don't work properly, when down they will not go up. Year of occurrence - 2009 child window lock doesn't work. Year of occurrence - 2010 side rear view mirror's don't work for several week's after a car wash. Year of occurrence 2013 front and middle glove compartment peeled within the first 6 months of owning the vehicle. Front seat heater overheats -immediately after pushing seat heater button. Year of occurrence - 2006/7 front seats don't recline all the way down. Year of occurrence - 2009 mileage is wrong - year of occurrence 2006/7 major break issue- 2007 to present makes strange pulling sound in rear of vehicle when started-2007 to present.
