1 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 02/02/2006

The contact owns a 2005 GMC Yukon xl. While making either a left or right turn at 10 mph, the contact could hear a loud popping or clicking sound. She took the vehicle to a local dealer and they adjusted the straps, lubed the front, and tightened the cross member bolts. The failure was also present in the rear of the vehicle and the dealer performed the same repairs as were made to the front end. The vehicle was returned to the dealer at 11,600 miles for the same failure and repairs. At 14,100 miles, the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they repaired the radiator support. At 18,962 miles, the vehicle was returned to the dealer for the popping and clicking sounds. The steering intermediate shaft was replaced. On July 7, 2006, the dealer repaired the front suspension cross member bolts again. At 35,661 miles, the steering shaft was replaced due to the same failure. At 42,092 miles, the steering shaft had to be replaced again. At 67,762 miles, the dealer stated that the drive shaft needed to be replaced. The steering wheel made a squealing noise when it was turned. No repairs have yet been made for the most recent failure. The failure mileage was 3,998 and current mileage was 67,762.
