Transmission seized up.
Part number 15816854 and says replaced by 15756444 cab pressure releaf vent rubber degrades and is open allowing exhaust fumes to go into cab of vehicle they are located above taillights of vehicle while driving sucks exhaust fumes into vehicle no parts available to fix vehicle and not normal serviceable part.
Backup camera inop. I took it to dealer for repair and they said they could not repair due to age and parts availability.
The dashboard from the air back recall broke and there’s is no recall for it witch there should be because when that air bag goes off it could send parts of the brittle dash into the passenger.
I sold my car the buyer change the odometer ( milege ) and about re sell it again he aint bring the title to sign it and wont send his driver licen to remove 8t from under my name. VIN. 1gkfc16jx7j309281.
The dash is cracked which could be very dangerous if the airbags ever deployed as chards of plastic could injure the driver and front passenger.
This dashboard is literally falling apart on a daily basis. I keep windshield coverings on the windhsield when in the sun. The design is terrible, and the plastic (if you want to call it that) is very brittle almost if it's made of some sort of plant based material. This is a safety hazard as the pieces that are coming off are sharp, and large. There is also an airbag recall to be completed in which they will absolutely add to the damage of my dash. Gm as a company is cowardly in hiding from this issue. You know this should be a recall, and is costing your customers a lot of unnecessary funding to fix an issue that you absolutely are responsible for. Do the right thing. We pay your salaries.
Warning bells start chiming, 5. 3 engine with afm starts running rough, service traction control, service suspension system, abs lights come on. These symtoms occur within seconds of starting. Diagnostics says different things each time such as misfires, worn cam, etc. The engine only has 140k miles. There are numerous complaints on this engine. Gm did offer numerous customers replacement engines under 150k miles. I can't get the dealer to own up to this.
My dashboard is cracked severely, which can ultimately make my airbag release at any time. It shakes while driving pretty bad.
Takata airbags that are defective, are still not corrected. I pay $539 a month for a car payment and we can't drive the car. My wife and kids and myself are too scared to get in the car.
This is the handles that open the doors. The coating on the handles is peeling. They have sharp edges that can and have cut the fingers. Gm needs to replace all of these handles.
The chrome linings on the interior door handles of the front driver side and front passenger side are peeling. The peeled edge of the material is very sharp, and my wife and I both have sustained cuts to our left hands due to this.
Interior door handle chrome flaked and cut open hand causing bleeding. Update 9/15/cw.
During normal use on opening the rear lift door open and 1/3 of the way, it stopped and slammed very hard that the window above latch released and popped open. I've checked all the security setting but to date, the door does not open pass 1/3 of the way. Luckily there were no fingers anywhere around the door. This could potentially cause serious injury if one is not expecting the door will slam shut.
The inside of the passenger side door handle crome has peeled away causing a shape edge. There has been a special coverage adjustment issued by GMC in bulletin 09239a but was told my vehicle was not covered. I am having the same problem but they will not cover it due to my vind not being included in this special coverage adjustment. I feel my vehicle should be covered due to the fact that it is having the same problem. The outside of the same door handle has pulled away from the vehicle and bolt has pulled out of the frame. I think gm needs to step up and take care of these issues on all there vehicles not just who ever they choose!! I will never purchase another GMC vehicle again! after many hours of research I found several other customers having the same problem! when I called to make appt to have it fixed even the dealer informed me that it was a common problem with their vehicles! if the dealers know there is an issue im sure gm is aware a recall should be issued their just wating to see how long they can get away with it!!.
I took my daughter to volleyball practice and when I stopped at a red light the car was accelerating even though I had my foot on the brake pedal and it moved on a jumping mode to the front. I got so scared. The car moved forward we could have been involved on an accident on an intersection or hit the car in front of us. As that happened I noticed in dashboard the rmp counter was moving up as if it was were accelerating. It was pretty scary my kids and I don't feel safe to ride on the only car we own. I had a mechanic tell me I should take it to the dealer because it's a safety hazard. That it seem to him as a throttle system failure and it was very dangerous. When I turn vehicle on it happens too.
Car was left idol for two days. Upon start up ignition switch failed. Part replaced by owner but it still wouldn't start. Denali was towed to the dealership for repair of ignition switch assembly and started fine.
Gives me different readings all the time. I never know how much gas I really have.
The front door handles inside are both peeling and the peeling is sharp metal and on numerous times have caused cuts on the hands of the driver and passenger.
Bought this vehicle in Aug 2013. Had to bring back to dealer because catalytic convertor was no good. Had my mechanic check out rest of car and he found excessive rusting on frame especially where rear tire is mounted.
The back door handles on our 2007 denali are extremely loose to the point that they are almost completely fallen off. This affects our day to day comute and should be fixed, we spent a good amount of money for a luxury car, the handles should not be falling off. I am surprised this has not been recalled. Please contact me, thank you.
I have had my vehicle for about 4 years now. I haven't had any issues with it up until July of last year (2014). I experienced my car jerking erratically and had to pull over. The car lost speed and could not accelerate. I had taken it to a mechanic who then said I needed a new transmission. I have had the transmission replaced. About 6 months later the jerking started again on and off, no loss of speed and it would only jerk going form first gear to second. I have not worried about it until now because the car would only jerk every so often. Now my traction control and stabilizer service warning message pops up. I have taken it to several places I have been told that I needed a throttle body, abs module and both are not cheap to fix they all want to charge me $500- $1200 to fix the problem. I began researching and see that the issue I am having may be due to a manufacturing issue. I plan to take it to another mechanic before I start paying for more costly repairs. If for some reason this is a manufacturing issue, these vehicles need to be recalled before a serious accident happens.
Chrome has been peeling off driver side door handle. Cuts my skin. One day I was driving on a 4 lane highway going approx 55 mph. I ended up hydro planning my denali makes a 180 and I'm facing oncoming traffic. I hit the gas to get to the emergency lane but my engine turned off. Is this normal?.
: the contact stated having problems with the dvd entertainment system. The contact had to use the remote control in order to turn the dvd screen on and off because the screen does not have a power button. This made it difficult and unsafe for the driver to attempt to turn the system on while driving. The dealership was contacted, and determined that the dvd screen worked as designed. Updated 11/30/2006 - in order tot urn the screen on the consumer had to lean back in the seat and point the remote towards the screen. Sometime it too 4-5 attempts before the screen would turn on.
