I have a 2007 GMC Yukon denali xl that have the stabilitrac, check suspension, traction control lights and messages come on the car looses power and being in traffic I was almost t-boned this is a problem that has cost me alot of time and money please help please it is going to cause a wreck this is not a isolated incident a recall needs to happen.
Thr lifters shut down the engine and caused it to completely turn off the vehicle while in motion. It is available for inspection. Has not been confirmed by dealer. The code read cylinder 1 misfire but the lifters were not functional. The seizure of the engine and full stop of the vehicle while in motion nearly caused a 3 car pile up and a close collision into a fire hydrant as the steering locked and emergency brakes were not functional. There was no other warning lamps or messages offered prior to the shut down.
The security system engages while driving and the vehicle locks all doors and prevents the windows from opening dash stops working cant tell how fast your going and when you stop the vehicle and shut it off none of the electric locks work or the fob you have to unlock the vehicle manually to get out.
Happened two times yesterday. 2007 Yukon denali odometer: 191,707 engine hours: 1443. 9 first, stabilitrak control turned off and engine power was reduced illuminated on the message center of the dash board. Car would not accelerate above 20 mph. When I would try to push the gas petal there would be a shutter in the rear of the vehicle. I was able to put the car in park, turn it off and tried restarting. Same issues continued. I limped to my work a less than a mile away to try and figure out what was happening as I had myself and 4 kids in the car after trick or treating. I shut off the car and waited for a bit while I read online what was causing this. Upon restarting the car, it started working again as normal. Safety risk when you can't accelerate past 20 mph on a 45 mile per hour road. Second occurance was a few hours later. I turned the car on to leave and the same things happened, this time it was driving like I had lost my power steering and no engine power. Luckily, again, I was in a spot to pull off to the side, turn the car off and made it home okay. This car has a brand new engine. Upon reading here and some other things online it seems the stabilitrak has numberous reports of this same thing. Luckily I have been in a spot where it didn't become dangerous and I knew what to do based on reading here. I use my Yukon for work so can't have this happening and it's dangerous for myself, my kids and other drivers on the road if they happen to be behind me when it happens. Hopefully with enough complaints something can be done to fix this issue. I have included a pic of the symbol that illuminated on my dashboard when this happened.
"takata recall" the speed control stops working - light comes on for speed control on steering wheel but speed control will not work it was a gradual thing -then stopped for no reason.
Takata recall the back hatch door with not go up automatically it seems to have the shock the automatically opens the door somthing seems to have follen off or broke only works manually.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon xl. While driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly decelerated and the stability track warning indicator illuminated. The contact had to restart the vehicle in order for it to operate correctly. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
There is cracks appearing on the dash all along the airbags housing compartment and part of the air bag is exposed . I'm very afraid that the airbag will go off while I'm driving because the dash is so cracked it's barely holding the bag in . I'm also worried it will affect the safety components and not work in an accident because of it being exposed to some elements due to the cracks. My vehicle has been garaged kept and always professionally maintained so it's not something we did or did not do I believe it's cheap material on the dash causing this to occur. Another big issue is the gas and brake pedal are adjustable and have completely come undone and fallen off the adjustable mechanism while I was driving . I called the company and she said someone would contact me soon and it's been a month I've yet to hear from them. It was a terrifying ordeal to be driving and all of a sudden you can't accelerate or brake . I was so scared for my children's safety as we were all in the car driving down the road when this happened.
While driving today at a speed of 55 mph in somewhat heavy traffic my service traction control and stabilitrack indicator came on as well as a message on the dash saying the same. At which time my vehicle came to slow down and I lost power. I pulled over and and shut the car down and upon restart noticed that not only did white smoke come from my exhaust but the car had a rough idle the same indicators were still on and the engine light had now come on as well and was flashing. I was able to make it home with a rough limp however when I came to a stop felt as though the car was hesitant to keep running or take off. When applying gas there was a thump from the rear wheels like the transmission was not sure how to engage.
I will be driving and my truck will just lose power. I push on the gas pedal and it goes no where. I have to coast off the highway and then I can stop and turn it off for a few minutes then start it back up with the check engine light on. I have changed the tps 2 times, the entire throttle body, and the mass air flow sensor and it's still doing it.
Traveling at about 25 mph in a residential neighborhood, the engine and stabilitrak lights came on and power abruptly cut out. Luckily no one was behind me and I was safely able to pull to the side of the road. I can only image what might have happened if this had occurred on a busy freeway or a crowded intersection.
I took my daughter to volleyball practice and when I stopped at a red light the car was accelerating even though I had my foot on the brake pedal and it moved on a jumping mode to the front. I got so scared. The car moved forward we could have been involved on an accident on an intersection or hit the car in front of us. As that happened I noticed in dashboard the rmp counter was moving up as if it was were accelerating. It was pretty scary my kids and I don't feel safe to ride on the only car we own. I had a mechanic tell me I should take it to the dealer because it's a safety hazard. That it seem to him as a throttle system failure and it was very dangerous. When I turn vehicle on it happens too.
Without warning, check engine light, reduced power and stability system shut down dash board engine light came on and stayed on. Had engine code scanned (p2138, p0102) still problem is not resolved. Dealer was no help just wanted to sell parts that may fix it.
I had just left the free way went onto a 2 lain road we were driving about 50 mpr then we lost engine power, all the dash lights came on ,we pulled over the car killed, didnt know what to do ,so we waited a bout 8 minets then turned the key, the car started and we went on our way,a few minets later it did the same thing, it did it 2 more times, took it to the shop was told it was a gas tank sensor ,$500. 00 stoud at the shop, and the car still has the problem, what happens if the engine reduces power while do 65 mpr down the free way, ? I think we have a big safty consern here, and gm needs to know, if they dont all ready know. . .
2007 Yukon xl - traction control came on causing a reduction in power while traveling. This is a safety concern that should be addressed by general motors. This is a very serious safety issue that needs to be looked into, before somebody gets hurt or killed. Gm needs to recall their products that are involved.
My engine speed reduced abruptly while traveling speed of 65mph on the freeway. This has almost caused an accident several times. A reduced engine speed, service stabilization track and service traction control signs come on. If I pull over and wait 1 minute it starts and doesn't do again for 15 minutes. Sometimes this doesn't happen for a week. I read forums and it appears to be a faulty throttle body, and only with gm vehicles, but gm fails to request a recall. Some have spent hundreds of dollars to replace, and it still does not fix the problem.
Roughly 30 times since March my 2007 GMC Yukon xl 5. 3 slt has had the dreaded stabilitrack off, service stabilitrack, reduced engine power problem. You can be driving along at various speeds and the error will come on and you will be completely unable to accelerate. Leaving a very dangerous situation for my family. It has happened when pulling a camper and without pulling anything either. Gm refuses to help the many families having the same problems.
Stabilitrack light and check engine light illuminates while driving down the highway. The car goes to idle and has no power to accelerate, almost got rear ended by another car. Once pulled over to side of road, shut engine down and waited 15 mins to restart. Stability track light and check engine light remains on and car accelerates normally. This has happened several times and is an extreme hazard! I have read numerous accounts of this happening to other owners of this model vehicle and dealer has no resolution to fix the problem, they just charge consumers for parts that are not really resolving the issue. This is dangerous for all drivers and will cause a fatality in the near future, something needs to be done!!!.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon denali. The contact stated that while driving 15 mph, the esc and check engine warning light illuminated as the engine lost power. The vehicle was restarted and taken to the dealer for inspection where they advised that the throttle body and the vacuum hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred at least twenty-five times. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 134,000. The VIN was unavailable.
While driving in the city, my truck was driving fine. Then the stabilitrak came on. When it came on the engine slow down, and almost came to a complete stop while driving on a major road where the speed limit is 55. I was able to pull over and turn the vehicle off. I was able to get it to start and call the GMC dealer, told them what the problem was, and they asked could I bring the vehicle in to see what the problem was. After they service the vehicle, they said that the stabilitrak needed to be replaced. I hadn't even had the vehicle for a full year. Before I left the dealer I asked could I still drive the vehicle, they said that I could. So I continue to drive the vehicle. One day while drive the vehicle, it moved forward while my foot was on the brake and shut off. I tried to immediately start it cause I was behind another car at a light. I was glad that it didn't hit another car. It would not start immediately. Maybe two minutes it started and when I put it in drive and press the gas it took off fast. While driving, the stabilitrak light comes on and the engine power is gone. If I am not able to pull over, the speed will drop below 20 mph. Sometimes the vehicle will take off, with just a little bit of gas. Help am scared that it might take off and hit someone or shutoff and hit someone. This is a dangerous problem, that I feel GMC should look into before some dies or really get hurt.
I was traveling on the freeway at about 70 mph coming from a supervision training class along with a CO-worker and the following sensor lights started appearing on my dashboard: traction control off, stabilitrak off. This has continued to happen on a regular basis. I have taken it to the gm service at least twice and private repair facilities numerous times and the situation continues. It is now 01-28-2014 and the situation continues and is getting worse. Alone with the above issues now the "reduce engine power" light comes on and the engine shuts down. It has become very dangerous to drive this vehicle and no repair facility, gm or otherwise, knows how to fix the problem. I have to drive so this vehicle is what I drive but, it is dangerous and gm needs to fix it or recall for this issue. I need answers quickly I fear this issue is dangerous for all concerned especially when this happens on a freeway!!.
Was driving down the freeway and the vehicle warning bell rung. On the vehicle heads up display read. Traction control, stability control and reduced engine power. The vehicle immediatly started shutting down with no power. This caused a near miss from behind from a tractor trailer vehicle.
2007 GMC Yukon denali accelerated without warning. Consumer states that vehicle surged forward after completing a lane change and the brakes would not stop the vehicle. Consumer states that he turned the vehicle off then pulled into a parking lot. The dealer was unable to duplicate the consumers concern.
: at time when cruise at constant speeds, then pressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle would not accelerate right away, it would take a few seconds.
