general problems of the 2014 GMC Yukon

Radio display not working third row seat won't disengage because of the cable wire being stretched out. Can't remove third row seat. Rear hatch leaking water severely no accident, bought car from causley GMC in 2024 in michigan.

While driving the vehicle it randomly looses engine function decreasing speed rapidly. The check engine light comes on and it says engine power reduced along with traction-off and stabilitrak- off. There was a safety recall 14v-614 that pertains to the chassis electronic module. I have had multiple shops look at the problem the last being a GMC dealer who replaced the accelerator pedal for the 2nd time but did not fix the issue. This issue began in early 2024 and vehicle has sat in driveway not being driven every since.

I have a crack dash right in the middle just below the mirror. I took it to GMC dealer in tyler texas about a year ago. I asked if they had any recalls on this problem. I bought this 2014 Yukon denali in illinois with 40,000 miles garage kept one owner. I also always parked Yukon in my 3 car garage. I wonder if there is a safety issure knowing the dash is cracked and moves when you hit a bump? iam retired at age 63 and never had a dash crack on all vehicles I have owned. Drivers side power running board stopped working car had been making popping noise on the way to work this morning drivers door flew open had to hold it shut wouldn't shut then got it shut but door handle broke can't open it.

This will be the 3rd time in the last 4 years I have experienced my Yukon xl 2004 model completely shutting down while all 3 times driving on the highway at a speed average of 65 mph. With no warning at all. All 3 times have been while driving this vehicle over a 4 hour period for family vacation. Most recently was this past labor day weekend. We have replaced sensors, fuel pump, and most recently had the engine replaced which is why I know for certain it cannot be related to any of the above. Thankfully I was near a exit ramp each time and was able to pull over safely. All 3 times I have waited about 15 minutes and the car will start back up -and no one seems to know what is wrong with it.

I have replaced two door handles on this vehicle. One under warranty and one I had to pay to $180. 00 to have replaced and in both case my 6 year old had them come unattached from the frame while he was trying to get in. I have owned three of these vehicles and in the first model year 2010 the door handle fell off, in the 2012 model year the door handle fell off as well. You would think gm would have addressed it in the second model year but they did not the dealers, where it has been repaired say it is a design defect, the fasteners are undersized to hold the handle onto the frame. One would think that gm would have addressed that once it appeared to be frequent event. The dealers now stock it as a replacement part. Upon contacting gm they told me if NHTSA does not think it is a problem we are not going to address it. They finally changed the fasteners in the 2017 model year. You would think that a door handle coming off might be dangerous but my contact with a gm customer assistance employee did not seem to think it was serious enough for gm to address as a recall or a policy exception. . I think any child who pulls on a door handle and it comes off is a safety issue and I am appalled that gm has such a cavalier attitude toward safety. They do not wish to call it a design flaw while all the dealers that have repaired the handle for me say it is. . I am hoping you will investigate this before some child pulls on the handle and falls into the road injuring themselves. Door handles are not suppose to fall off a car at any age. I can provide you with receipts and names of dealerships. - in fact I can give you the VIN numbers of the vehicles an you will see the repair to door handles .
