The vehicle has an unpredictable and random tendency to hesitate when the gas is pressed. This has been happening at some level since the vehicle was new. The dealership service department was never able to get the vehicle to do what I was concerned about, so they never helped resolve the issue. Now that it is out of warranty, the issue is getting worse. It is to the point that I believe it is unsafe for anyone but me to drive it. I have to make sure that when I turn onto a new road, that there is absolutely noone coming because I cannot depend on my vehicle to accelerate quickly enough, even at a normal rate. It may lag and take its time speeding up, or it may accelerate normally with no issues. I stopped going to the dealership for oil changes and checking the issue because they no longer give loaner vehicles and they take a minimum of three hours for an oil change. So I recently took it to my trusted mechanic. He replaced the knock sensors, which helped slightly. He could still detect issues, but was concerned it would require a whole new engine built to bypass the dfm system and repair the cams and lifters. So I NW have to drive a vehicle that needs $20,000 worth of repair, has the potential to be dangerous or leave me broken down on the side of the road. It has 106,000 miles and I still owe $12,000 on it. From my research, I understand that this is a known issue and that there are several lawsuits regarding the issue. That does not help the average person who doesn’t care about a lawsuit, but is justifying st trying to live their average life with a dependable vehicle. Please help!.
My vehicle torque converter repair on my 2020 GMC Yukon is shuddering. Why is this not a recall when there are various Yukons that are experiencing shuddering related to torque converter repair. This should be a recall. The problem has been confirmed by a GMC dealer. There were not warning lamps, no messages, or other symptoms.
My vehicle went from driving perfectly to startling and not going pass 45 in a matter of two days. I was getting all maintenance done at dealer always on time had just service it. When all of a sudden it started making a jerking/ skipping feel as if I was accelerating too hard. Took it to get checked and the code that came up was (tcc)torque converter clutch. I spent 6000 to rebuild the transmission and kno the engine has a tap tap noise. Once again I took it in and now it’s the lifters in the engine. No warning light have ever popped up.
Hello, I’m calling about the gm transmission recall recently announced in March 2025 affecting 2020 Yukon vehicles. My Yukon experienced what I believe is the exact same issue described in the recall. Our vehicle lost forward gears and almost caused a crash. A certified mechanic confirmed the transmission fluid was burnt and full of clutch material, with internal transmission damage. We are asking for this to be handled under the recall, as the issue directly matches gm’s known safety defect. We need this resolved immediately — the vehicle is unsafe to drive and the failure happened before we even knew about the recall. Our GMC mechanic stated the following : needs immediate attention recommended service transmission: test drove verified no forward gears after 3 minutes of driving. Fluid brown and burnt full of clutch material. Internal damage to transmission. A transmission flush is a process that makes it possible to clear the old transmission fluid from the vehicle's transmission. This process also helps to remove residue of older transmission fluid from the converters, coolers, and cooler lines that often are part of the design for the transmission.
Transmission is shaking when I start driving. !!!.
The a/c unit stopped blowing cold air intermittently. I'm taking it to a mechanic to find out what's going in. It's a 2020 for goodness sake.
