Air Brake Abs Warning Light Problems of GMC Yukon

The parking brake and tpms warning lights were illuminated and flashing. The parking brake was inoperable. Additionally, the seat belts were inoperable. The contact stated that there was a cut in brake line. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the abs. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was not filed, and no injuries were reported. I have a 2002 Yukon denali awd. I took a long trip this week for vacation and noticed that the abs light as been coming on and off, and now its on all the time. Whenever im moving at low speeds it tends to pulse when I brake or have the abs activate making an easy slow stop become and long stop that has made me swerve to miss many near collisions in the past few days. Im also hearing a knocking sound at low speeds in the drive side wheel only when I turn right, between the 2 that have just recently appeared made my 900 mile trip a nightmare, not knowing what it is. I've researched the problem online and notice there was a recall in canada for the same problem and that the complaints are not high enough to get it in the u. S. So how many ppl need to risk being injured or killed for gm to do the right thing. They obviously no something is wrong and is not willing to help the consumers. Thanks.

Interior abs light illuminated, then a humming noise heard under the driver side compartment. GMC dealer diagnosed the problem as failure of the abs electronic module unit. They advised me that it would be $1130. 00 + tax to replace. This brake failure occurred at 70,000 miles. This is the second time this has happen to this vehicle. The other time it was under a extended warranty (09/2004). I hope this will not happen every 3 years. Dealership says they replace them all the time. I was told it was placed next to the frame where water could get in the unit and cause damage. . . Enough to replace. Hopefully a recall campaign will happen before I have to replace the next one. I have read numerous complaints about this type of brake failure.

I have a 1999 GMC Yukon with abs brakes and for some reason at high speed it very impossible to stop my vehical even at 20 mile per hour. I had my brakes replaced around 4 times ranging from factory to top of the line brakes and rotors.

While driving 65 mph, in inclement weather the windshield wipers failed. This caused poor visibility to the driver. The consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle and drove it to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic informed the driver that the windshield wiper circuit needed to be replaced. Please provide further details. Consumer stated that the problem was consistant with recall. Number campaign id number : 03v159000 although the consumer missed this recall by a year the problem is still the same. Abs brakes at all speeds feel spongy and often goes clear to the floor.
