Ten problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1999 Honda Accord. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states that the brake switch malfunctioned on the vehicle which did not allow the consumer to take the vehicle out of park. Contacted dealer and the dealer is not willing to do anything.
Vehicle rotors and pads has been change eight times and the problem still reocurring. Dealer has aware of the problem. Nlm.
When brakes are applied they hesitate to stop, pedal goes all the way to the floor, and vehicle still will not stop. Then they will just stop suddenly. Dealer contacted. Consumer stated on 2 occasions the vehicle failed to stop.
Consumer noticed heavy noice when the brakes were applied, dealer replaced the pads and the rotors however the problem still exist.

When beginning to brake going down hill, brake pedal went all the way to the floor. Vehicle would not stop in time, driver rear ended a standing vehicle. This happened on a dry road surface.
