The contact owns a 2006 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the cruise control was activated at an unknown speed and while traveling uphill, the vehicle unexpectedly lunged forward. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who attempted to repair the vehicle numerous times but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not further repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000 and the current mileage was 145,000. The VIN was unavailable.

3 Cruise Control problem

: the contact stated while stopping at a stop sign or light, the engine accelerated on its own. The engine revved up to 5500 rpms. The contact put the vehicle into neutral to keep the vehicle from surging forward. The cruise control was rarely used and there have been no problems regarding the cruise control. The dealership could not duplicate the problem.
