1 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 09/08/2020

I filed a recall claim with american Honda. The case number is 11536174. This was for a recall on the airbags. Also, there was a recall on the transmission. The transmission stalls and decelerates when getting above 25 rpm. American Honda said this issue was a recall but appeared to be "fixed" a few years ago. But since this is an ongoing problem, I was assured it would be fixed. Jason, at the service department told me it would be "taken care of" but then, tried to bill me $150 for "diagnostic" fees plus then told the parts and labor would be an additional $800. We were given a rental car. About an hour an 20 minutes after dropping off the car, we were called to say the car was ready. Absolutely nothing was done. The glove compartment was still locked. They would have had to unlock it to make the airbag repair. American Honda told me the entire canister in the air bag area had to be replaced as well as new air bags installed. Misltin Honda screwed us! they also said these 2 repairs would take 6 hours. They fraudulenly billed american Honda for 6 hours and did nothing! they were instructed to provide proof of the old parts to show anything was done! my car remains unsafe to drive, potentially causing the airbags to not deploy and the transmission to stall, causing a crash! I'd like my service to be taken care of by Honda in manteca, please. Mission also billed american Honda for our rental. There was also a recall on something to do with the gas pedal. . A part or computer issue.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2012

I've experienced many issues with my brakes since my car hit 99,000 miles. I have to replace the brakes every 20,000 miles and now I had an incident where my car would not stop. The engine seemed to just go dead and I could not accelerate the car. I had just gotten off the freeway. The car did not want to stop when I was approaching the red light and would not accelerate. It would only go 5 mph. I pulled off the street, stopped the car and turned it off. I started it again and it went back to normal but I immediately drove to the Honda dealership and they said I have 5 or more sensors that are failing, including the throttle. They said it was unsafe for me to drive and the car is still there. Said it will cost at least $1300 to fix and that may not fix it. I tried to report previous braking issues to american Honda in December 2011 and they dismissed my complaint. Told me I needed to deal with the dealership. Originally, I thought the dealership didn't fix the brakes and just charged me for a service they didn't perform. Now, it seems as though it's a manufacturer defect, which is what I was told today.

4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/19/2011

Upon having the secondary shaft bearing recall completed my car started to drive very sluggish. Upon acceleration the car is very slow to accelerate and feels like it's dragging and staying in one gear too long. When finally I get to desired speed the car will slightly jerk as if it is trying to switch gears and will sometimes decelerate in speed. I have to constantly accelerate to keep car going up to speed and sometimes have to press gas pedal to floor to get up to speed. Car makes a humming sound on and off when trying to get up to speed. Dealership ran all checks and could not find any failures. I hope Honda investigates this issue. My car was running very smoothly before I took it in for recall and now it runs very rough. Very disappointing!!!.

The manufacturer was not notified of the failure and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 109,000 and the current mileage was 114,000.

9 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/08/2010

Pulsating brakes problem on Honda Accord 2006. I have replaced the front brake rotors twice in the last 4 months and I still have the nagging pulsating brake problem on my 2006 Honda Accord lx-se model. The car has around 65,500 miles on it. The car behaves hysterically when brakes are applied at speeds above 45 mph. The dealer simply dismisses the problem as non-existent.

10 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2007

I was driving in the right lane of an express way and exiting onto the exit ramp. My 2006 Honda Accord was accelerating, so I pressed the brake pedal to slow down to no avail. The engine continued to rev at an accelerated rate, so I continued to pump and pump the brake pedal, but the car was not stopping and still continued going forward. Within seconds I was at the top of the ramp?where I quickly observed 3 rows of cars (on the left side) waiting at the red light. At that point, I realized that the car would not stop and I did not want to hit any of the cars waiting at the red light?so I directed the car straight ahead and beyond the 3 rows of waiting cars to avoid hitting them?and hoping I would hit a pole to stop the car. The next thing I remember I awoke, the front windshield was shattered, I had shattered glass on my body, the air bags had already deflated, and someone was yelling to open my door. This, I could not do?and I just sat there. Then someone jammed the door open?and I was pulled out to a waiting ambulance. Other cars were hit and there were serious injuries. Honda: why did this happen? what happened to the brakes?to make them malfunction when I kept pressing the brake pedal continually? we are currently trying to find the cause.
