3 Tire problem

Failure Date: 09/07/2023

While driving home from work at highway speeds in less than 1 minute I went from total normal driving experience to feeling like I had a vibration likely a flat. Luckily it was the back tire so I was able to safely steer off the highway. Upon inspecting the tire it was completely gone! only minimal sidewall attached to the rim on both inside and outside of the wheel. The sidewall failed approximately 1 in above the rim lip. All the way around on both sides. This is on a general gmax as-05 215/50/ zr 17 purchased in 2021 from tirerack. Com. These tires are used seasonally in addition to winter tires so they have minimal miles for being a little over 2 years old. I also recently had the car new york state inspected in the last 30 days. Upon reaching out to tire rack I learned there was a substantial recall of almost 100,000 continental and general brand tires that were " over cured". This tire is not on the list but did exactly what the description of the recalled tires had done. I do not feel safe traveling on the remaining tires and I feel other people could be in danger of this happening to this model tire. I just want to keep myself and other safe and feel like I'm going to get stonewalled with a retailer on warranty. Also want to keep others from potential harm as this had happened on my front wheel in the middle of rush hour traffic it could have been disastrous and deadly! up until this I loved these tires they were sporty, great handling, quiet and wearing very evenly and seem to be long-lasting so far. I hope continental/general does the right thing by adding this tire to the recall list. Also this car was recently new york state inspected less than 30 days ago there is ample tread and the tires have been diligently rotated and they are only on the car for 7 months at a time as I have a set of general winter tires that I switch between seasonally.

4 Tire problem

Repeated sudden (5) flat tires in a span of a year - various positions on vehicle and all happening suddenly while driving. Not caused by any foreign debris or punctures. 6 Tire problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2010

On Saturday, July 17th, 2006, I had routine maintenance completed on my 2006 Honda Accord. The dealership told me that I needed 4 new tires. They installed 4 falken ziex ze 912 tires along with a front end alignment. I left the dealership, got onto to the freeway and my brand new right front tire exploded when I was traveling at 55 miles per hour. I immediately contacted the dealership and they requested that I have my car towed to them and they would investigate the situation. I spoke with the dealership today (Monday) and they stated that the new tire was defective. They replaced the tire at no charge and reported that they would be sending the tired back to the factory to investigate the defect issue.
