The check engine light comes on,and flashes. Generating a p0303 misfire code. The spark plug on that particular cylinder is oil fouled, causing the misfire. The first time this happened was in the middle of north dakota driving at highway speeds on the interstate last winter. The spark plugs were changed by me on the side of the road. Cylinder three spark plug was very heavily oil fouled. After replacement of the spark plugs, the misfire did not continue at that point, check engine light went out. No further action was taken. That happened on November 30th 2016. The most recent event happened April 17th. The car was running rough again upon startup, and check engine light flashing. Brought the car to my mechanic who inspected, and found code p0303 cylinder misfire. #3 plug very saturated with oil, and fouled. Please see attachment for further information.
On a road trip to mass, check engine light blinks and car runs poorly. Stop at the nearest Honda, garber Honda in rochester, NY. First made aware of recall. Garber says repair is made and is covered under recall program. I was advised to return if problem comes back and told I had unlimited miles to do so. Car continues to consume oil. I was unaware that the consumption was part of the extended warranty campaign regarding the number 2 cylinder. 26 October - 9 November 2018 check engine light starts to blink and car runs poorly. On the road I take it to the nearest Honda, lia Honda of williamsville, NY. Number 2 plug fouled again. I was told the warranty campaign had ended and I had to bring in all the maintenance records to qualify for a good will repair. I fax and called northtown but records from previous years not available due to dealership buyout. I paid to have spark plug replaced. I spent 3 weeks exchanging emails with adrian bonsey at lia to resolve the issue. In my final follow up he mentions he had cleared the exchange of emails from his system. I go online and research the issue discovering the warranty campaign letter, a letter I had never been given before. I am unable to get my emissions done for the state of NY due to a nearly always on check engine light. I consume 2 - 3 quarts of oil between oil changes and foul out a plug every few months. I think Honda owes me a repair since the previous repair did not resolve the known issue.
Since December, 2016 the engine has been using excessive oil. I have regularly scheduled oil changes every 5,000 miles (synthetic). On 7/13/17 the oil was changed but I was told that the engine oil was very low. It was changed again on 12/21/17 with less than 4,000 miles since the last change. Again the check engine light was on. This problem is definitely getting worse.
Accord v6 with variable cylinder management (vcm). At exactly 65,000 miles, in expressway rush hour traffic, immediate catastrophic power loss and check engine light comes on. Tow to Honda dealer. Dealer receipt shows code p3400 found and dealer replaced rear oil pressure sensor. Car owner suggests that an oil change might be in order due to event. Once home, owner finds oil overfilled. This vehicle is part of class action engine misfire settlement. Dealer did not report any other error codes, that is, those that are covered under the settlement. American Honda has declined the owner's request to have the engine performance reviewed with the vehicle owner and an american Honda regional service manager present.
I called Honda customer to report a problem due to constant check engine lights and to get my car checked with a recall notice . They told me I will charged to see whether my is eligible for the recall notice and told my check engine problem cannot be checked out since my mfg warranty expired since it is only good for 6 yrs from the year of manufactured date and not the sold date . I bought my car 2011 so my warranty is still valid , but for whatever reason they are going by mfg date and sold date.
Check engine light came on while driving, cylinder was misfiring. Replaced spark plug. This has happened twice about a little over a year apart in different cylinders.
My 2010 Honda Accord has had a check engine light for a p0420 code at 110k miles. For someone that knows something about cars, a catalytic converter should not be going out this soon. As I read numerous forums and articles online, many others have reported the same issues with their 8th generation Accord, yet Honda has not been told to issue a recall. Obviously these converters were poorly made and it is going to cost nearly 1000$ to fix this.
Accelerating from a stop sign and check engine light came on, vehicle began to idle rough and shudder. Limped to a auto parts store and diagnosis was cylinder #2 misfire. I was returning home from vacation and contacted dealership service dept where car was purchased from. Was informed that Honda issued a TSB for fouled plugs. Drove 290 miles home as all dealerships were closed.

The failure mileage was 34,338. Ap.
