Takato recall: please give me the following information: the company which manufactured my drivers side air bag, and side airbags. The dealership in irvine, California and the Honda corporate office in torrance, CA will not give me the information. The passenger side air bag was replaced by the dealer in sept. 2016. Please send this message to the appropriate department. If tanaka is the manufacturer I will have those airbags replaced also. I look forward to this information.
Takata recall I can not drive my car as I was told not to have anyone in the passenger seat, I toke the car to have the airbag code scan and its showing open circuit in drivers side airbag, and also short in passenger side buckle. This car has never been in accident, not reason for all of these items to be wrong or failing. I want my car fixed now.
The contact owns a 2010 Honda Accord. While driving 30 mph, the contact drive over a pothole and the driver's side air bag deployed without warning or impact. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the deployment. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
While beginning to accelerate from a parking spot , going somewhere between one to five miles per hour all passenger side air bags deployed . I thought for sure Honda would be willing to correct this major safety issue but much to my surprise, they were very rude and refused to pickup any costs I incurred from this incident ( a little over $10000. 00 ).
While slowly accelerating at less than 5 mph all passenger side airbags deployed without any impact to vehicle, in process of trying to get Honda to take responsibility for faulty equipment . Currently they are refusing and trying to push the claim onto my insurance company even though there was no accident.
