My car will have moments when it will not start. In order to start my vehicle, I have to keep turning the key into it turns on. My battery and alternator have been check but both are functioning properly. It will do this in various scenarios, if the car is off 5 minutes or 5 hours .

2 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

Vehicle will not start sometimes when you push the start button. I had the battery, alternator, and started tested and all are in perfect working order. . All the batteries in the keys are fine as well. The process I use to start the car is push the break then press the push start button. When it does not start it makes a clicking noise like the battery is dead but there again when the battery is tested it is fuller charged. This is very frustrating as a new mother. I am scared my son and I will be left somewhere with my car unable to start. I have attached an image of which dashboard alerts appears when this issue occurs.

3 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

"check charge system" warning alerts turned on and vehicle electrical started shorting soon after while driving on highway. Power steering and brakes started to fail. Managed to drive home when problem first appeared. Problem went away and came back. Towed vehicle to dealer service department. They said I had a bad alternator. Original recall for this vehicle (17v-418) stated "the battery sensor case mounted on top of 12 v battery may have gaps that could allow for moisture to enter the sensor. If moisture containing road salt enters the battery sensor, it could result in an electrical short and subsequently, a fire. The charging system indicator may illuminate in the multi-information display when a problem is detected with the battery sensor prior to the time that a short may occur. " I addressed my concern with service representative that this battery issue may have caused my electrical failure. Dealer said my alternator is bad and needed replacement and didn't agree that the battery issue may have caused this. My total bill was $862. 67 plus towing. As I did some research online I found this to be a common issue with the Honda Accord 2014. Not sure if any recourse is possible but thought I report my issue.

My alternator reading is at 12. 0, with the car still being this recent, the price of a new alternator is very expensive. I was hoping maybe to see if Honda actually has a recall on this model.

5 Alternator/generator/regulator problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2017

Electrical system failure due to battery failure and alternator failure. Received Honda recall notice after replaced battery and alternator replacement repair . Charge 723. 92$ for alternator ,and 108. 00$ for a walmart battery . Recall part bms sensor ,caused this repair as it noted in recall description . Honda dealership denied bsm sensor fault . Will not refund customer. Contacted Honda customer service. No action taken. Eastbound hwy 70 traveling with family ,75mph all of sudden control panel blinks twice ,speed decelerated up and down . This occurred 3 times . Finally made it home . Vehicle not start 1hr later. Checked battery ,dead . Dealership was closed . Purchased walmart battery . Vehicle still inconsistent . Mon morning contacted ed napleton for appt.
