The contact owns a 2016 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the messages "adaptive cruise control failure", "lane keep assist failure", and "forward collision avoidance failure" were displayed. Additionally, the contact stated that the infotainment system made an abnormal, loud, startling, and static sound intermittently while driving. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 196,000.
The system failing and had problems. Had to take to Honda dealer. They had to replace the system camera.
There were emergency lights on dashboard all of a sudden for adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency brakes, collision warning and lane departure warning. These functions aren’t functioning all of a sudden and claims to need attention although the car is only 6 years old.
Lkas was part of the package included on this particular Accord ex-l sensing model, when started in the early morning all safety lights turned on. The car just have a 66,731 miles on it. The car has never been on an a accident nor have any damage on the windshield or the front of the car. Immediately took it to the dealer close to me on June 28, 2022 they told me it was not covered by the warranty, I was charged for diagnostics $180 and for repairs was going to cost me $1,698. 36 at the time iwas on the impression it was under extended warranty paid in advance until 100k miles. I paid for safety features that broke on their own due to manufacturing failure issues.
