My fuel gauge/range has become inaccurate. I only drive my car Monday-Friday, the same route, same miles, same conditions. At the end of the week, I normally have less than a quarter of a tank left, with approx 110-120 mile range. Recently, it is showing I have remaining range of 260, but it is still requiring 12+ gallons to fill. My mpg per trip/overall has not changed. Took to dealer, they "claim" they can't find anything, I suspect it's because I have extended warranty with -0- deductible. They also asked me to bring it in on a full tank instead of 1/2 tank or less where I notice the problem begins. I get an average mpg each trip of 32. 5 mpg, I have a 15 gallon tank, there is no way on the last 3 gallons of gas I would get 86. 66 mpg. That is well beyond mfg specs.
