Vehicle stalls upon start on multiple occasions. Vehicle will not start at all on multiple occasions. On approximately February 2024 vehicle sent a warning signal while driving. Warning states vehicle cannot accelerate while driving on the highway, then vehicle slows under traffic speed causing fear of crash while on the highway causing me to pull over and restart vehicle. After restart, vehicle stalled again. Children were present in the vehicle. Called dealer to inform about the issue and was made aware of recall on fuel pump. Dealer does not have parts and will not have parts for recall for months. Called dealers near me periodically over the course of months. All local dealers reported parts will not be available for ongoing months.
Well to start I had to replace my head gasket already last winter at 59k miles and for awhile now I had warning lights on my dash for cmbs system failure and cruise control/steering wheel controls don’t work besides the ones for music. No lane assist, none of those safety features work at all and haven’t for awhile.

My Honda Accord 2018 with 49,000+ mileage suddenly showed multiple warning lights on the dashboard causing parking break to malfunction; acc, collision assist malfunctions and many other warning lights appeared. I brought it to Honda waldorf maryland and they told me it was definitely the 2 rear calipers as they diagnosed, but this did not solve the problem after replacements. After about 3 days with my vehicle still with them, they told me that it was the module that is malfunctioning; I can no longer refuse them because my car has been there for several days and it's only the Honda that can fix this as the service rep stated and I really need my car. On the other hand, I checked Honda website and called them that there are recalls on the Honda Accord 2018 - 2020 modules. Unfortunately, my VIN is not included even it clearly states that Honda Accord 2018 is included as stated on their website (see attachments).
My Honda Accord 2018 with 49,000+ mileage suddenly showed multiple warning lights on the dashboard. Honda waldorf maryland misdiagnosed that it was definitely the 2 rear calipers, but this did not solve the problem after replacements. After about 3 days, they told me that it was the module that was actually malfunctioning but I can no longer refuse because my car has been there for several days and it's only the Honda that can fix this as the service rep stated. Failure in road monitoring camera prematurely, 70,000 ish miles.
The problem began a month or so ago. I had my car diagnosed at the Honda dealership and it has a fuel injector fuel pump issue. All of the vehicle lights are on tpms engine light brake system light steering light collision mitigation emmission electrical steering hill start assistive cruise control lkas and brake hold light. My car stalls while driving. It sputters when I start it. When I attempt to excelerate the car is not getting gas and the car wont go. I fear for my safety and the safety of others while driving because the car stalls. Can someone please contact me.
All electrical warning lights came on dashboard. This is very frustrating and scary. This needs to be a recall on this vehicle because nothing this serious is normal. I thought my car was falling apart. Honda needs to fix this problem and the owner should not be responsible.
For the last couple of weeks, a bunch of warnings pop up related addaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking and so on. The car acc would stop working and car would auto brake without hitting brakes. I have checked online and see NHTSA has identified this issue but no action was taken. I am scared for my safety in this vehicle as well as my family. This issue needs to be fixed soon.
Starting in sept 2023, while pulling out of a park in a garage, my car started throwing numerous warning messages in the dashboard regarding emissions, abs, brake system, power steering, etc with the check engine light staying steady. I took it to one Honda dealership who after 'diagnosing' claimed it was the fuel injectors needing to be replaced. The car wasn't jerking or sputtering so I took the car to another mechanic who also didn't believe it was the fuel injectors and felt it was electrical. Took the car to another Honda dealership and they claimed the same thing about injectors. After having a reputable mechanic do software updates that the original or 2nd Honda dealership never checked for (it needed 4 updates, but one of them couldn't be done for lkas). Most of the warnings went away due to the updates but the lkas warning and collision warning remained. So I took the car to safelite (they had replaced my windshield back in July and back then they were able to recalibrate the sensor) but this time (oct 2023) not only were they not able to recalibrate the lkas, they said the front camera was not communicating with the system and this was an electrical problem and I have to go back to the dealership. After reading numerous complaints and similar issues in regards to the lkas, this multiple warnings and the car ghost braking on its own every now and then months before this, I hope you all really look into this and do a recall or find a solution on this car. Now I am forced to go back to the Honda dealership and will have to threaten them to do their job this time and really look at the car and not just tell me it is needing fuel injectors replaced. The car drives, no jerking, no sputtering, but not having a front camera talking to the system and now the tpms system keeps saying I have low tire pressure and won't let me calibrate even though my tires are at the optimal 32 level stated in the manual, I fear more issues are going to pop up soon.
The vehicle keeps stating the brake mitigation, acc, and other various Honda sensor features need to be repaired and to contact a dealer. The vehicle DE-accelerates on its home and doesn’t allow any of the Honda sense features to work. All the components of the dash are triggered at once. Most of the time the vehicle drives fine without the use of the Honda sense features. I have brought this to Honda and they state they don’t see any issues known to cause this problem. Short of the fact they never seem to happen when I bring it to the dealership. Most of the time this goes away on its own but lately the problems are lasting days. I don’t feel safe driving my own vehicle which has been greatly maintained.
Honda Accord 1. 5 turbo, head gasket blown for the second time in 2 years. The problem has been reproduce by dealer and independent service center. The car shakes when you turn on the car, first indication. Then all warning lights show up on dash board. Emission system problem, brake system, vehicle instability, adapative cruise control, road departue.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the adaptive cruise control (acc), tpms, anti-theft system, braking system, and traction control warning lights illuminated, and the messages "collision mitigation braking system problem. See sealer", "road departure mitigation. See dealer" were displayed. The contact stated that the adaptive cruise control (acc) mode, the econ mode, and sport mode were inoperable. The contact stated that she turned off and restarted the vehicle, and attempted to reset the vehicle herself; however, the failure persisted. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 88,697.
After this car was repaired by the body shop, all the automatic systems in the car started flashing and no one could figure out why. It went to four different repair shops over several months, till finally they convinced me to purchase another vehicle when this one was going to be paid off in two months. This problem was well documented by several repair places , and ultimately since it was unrepairable I had to trade it in and got bottom dollar for a non-running car that I owned since the beginning and got screwed.
My acc went out along with my collision mitigation system and no accident just for no reason.

Acc, breaking system, lane departure, collision warnings all on. Cruise control not working! the cmbs is not functioning properly.
While driving in highway, all dash light slit up like a christmas tree and vehicle lost power. I was not able to go over 30 mph and was in danger of being rear ended on freeway. I was able to pull over to safety and turn vehicle off. Upon restarting the vehicle, I was able to make it back home. This has happened on 3-4 diff occasions. Honda is not accepting responsibility. They continuously refer me to Honda dealer to be ripped off for a diagnostic. There are several forums online complaining about the same issue. My battery and alternator is good. Please help and hold Honda accountable to their negligence in the build of these vehicles.
The vehicle has faults on the dashboard, all the warning lights come on and there are functions that do not work when they are on.
I down loaded my update through the radio. It said complete. I went into the house and the next morning I started it and a bunch of warning lights were on and have stayed on. I can not use some of the buttons on the drivers door, I can not use my key fob unless it is touching the start stop button, I can not open the trunk, the gas cap will not open, and most of all I have lost some power to the interior fuse box. This car is only 5 years old almost to the date and it has had multiple recalls already. I want the bcm reprogrammed and fixed so all this will go away.
Road departure mitigation cruise control collision mitigation emission systems not working when I drive my car it stalled.
I was using the cruise control feature while driving and it gave multiple errors. It happens each time I use the cruise control feature and assisted driving feature. The errors it gives are: 1. Road departure mitigation system problem. See your dealer. 2. Adaptive cruise control system problem. See your dealer. 3. Collision mitigation braking system problem. See your dealer. I have also been driving and it breaks by itself and there is nothing in from of the vehicle. It was an orange flat plate on the road for construction. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer but they say it’s all normal.
All dashboard warning lights come on. (brakes, vsc, steering, etc) message says take to dealer. After doing a google search, it appears to be a common issue for Honda Accords for 2018 and newer. They will come on and either stay on for days/weeks at a time and then just go off on their own. Dealer has no solution.
Well I've had the car for about a year now and it has been good for the first few months, then I ran into a snag. All the orange warning lights for my safety features popped up and the vehicle was applying the brakes on its own. So I took it to the dealership and they told me it was a taillight, so I spent 500 bucks on one. Well after a month it's started to do it again this time worse, and it got so bad. I've had to pull over to the side of the road and restart the car because it kept braking while on the highway. Fast forward months down today and it's still doing it except much much worse. I tried to trade it in because I don't feel safe with vehicle anymore. But where I owe so much on it they won't let me get something else, so I'm stuck with it. I've made an appointment to see if they could check it out but at this point I just want it paid off and I want something else.
While driving in stop and go traffic on the highway with the adaptive cruse control system enabled the system will suddenly stop working. A message appears on the dashboard information panel "braking mitigation system error/failure: bring to dealer". This has occurred twice in 2022, and once or twice in 2021. When the car is turned off, then restarted, the system appears to reset itself. I brought the car to the dealership, they ran a "diagnostic" and told me they detected software errors and needed to do a "flash" reset, and that it was not covered under warranty. I contacted the Honda corporation and provided my service records, and details of the incident. They were lacking in enthusiasm to investigate the issue, as they were more interested in informing me that the vehicle was over the 36,000 mile warranty period. There was no collision, but that does mean there won't be in the if there is a software malfunction with the braking mitigation system. I feel the Honda corporation is not taking this safety issue seriously.
Engine misfire causing limp mode. Dealer says head gasket blown. When misfire happens, all driver safety system warnings display. Car goes into limp mode which is dangerous if on high speed road. First appeared oct-10-2022 with 59k miles on vehicle. Second appeared Nov-29-2022 with 60,300 miles on vehicle. Honda refuses to cover expense of replaceing head gasket and determining root cause.
I have a 2018 Honda Accord 2. 0. Twice it left me stranded on the side of the road due to a failing fuel pump. The first time it kicked back on after an hour and all the lights turned off so they said a diagnostic cannot be performed. The second time I was driving in the middle of the road and the engine cut off and would not start, luckily I had some space to pull over but I was still in traffic and I called a tow truck. It took 6 1/2 hours to finally get it to the Honda dealership and they told me my fuel pump had failed and there is a recall for 2018 2. 0s but not my specific VIN so I have to cover the cost. It’s $1055 plus taxes even though there’s an active recall for other 2018 2. 0‘s but not my exact vehicle. The part is on back order and can take up to a month they are providing no service car and no help on the recall.
Extended highway driving(500+miles). Collision mitigation problem continues to show as alert in dash. Does seem to reset when vehicle turned off and back on but this is not a new problem and a major reason for purchase.
I Honda Accord recently has been displaying up to 17 error messages out of the blue. It doesn’t matter if I’m going 30 mph or 80 mph. It happens randomly and there is a power loss associated with it. It is happened to me on the highway and was extremely scary. I have disconnected the battery and the lights will go off for a little bit but randomly sometimes the same day sometimes a day after all of the lights will come back on and all of the safety feature shut off. I’ve spoke with Honda and they have no known understanding of this happening but there are many many forums of this happening between multiple models of their vehicles around the 2018 range.
The sensor is located under the license plate, and because of it being so low, anything that hits it on the road, such as a rock or insects, the sensor gets triggered. There’s no protective cap on it. And every single light turns on the dash. Such as the collision, lane departure, brake system and cruise control.
While driving using acc, the warning message “crash mitigation not working” comes on out of nowhere and the cruise control stops working. This has happened multiple times. Also, about a month ago, my whole left side of the dash completely stopped working. Cam dtc are the error codes and cruise control and necessary functions just stopped working all together. It feels very unsafe and unreliable.
Driving at 70 mph on interstate 74 in cruise control the vehicle automatically braked on its own nearly causing a rear end collision by the semi following. Vehicle then proceeded to DE-rate down to 40 mph and would not accelerate beyond this causing us to drive down the highway with our hazards on over an hour home. Additionally, after making it home every warning lights for adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, power steering assist, lane keep assist, etc. Continue to come on and off. Vehicle was just at the local Honda dealership where they did a recalibration, to which I just picked up and within 10 miles of driving the vehicle every warning light is back in and vehicle DE-rated again. Vehicle is very unsafe to drive and at this point a danger to myself, family and others on the road.
Two times while driving on the highway at 75-80 mph with cmbs system on and utilizing acc. Out of nowhere, vehicle drops speed, acc off notice comes on and an alert stating collision mitigation braking system problem. See dealer pops up. . At this point, I have to quickly react to increase speed on gas pedal and avoid someone hitting me from behind. I am not able to re-engage the acc the remainder of the travel. After turning off the vehicle, the cmbs resets and acc is available again. This is not possible to do while driving on a highway. The second time it happened, I was changing lanes into the passing lane on left and I seriously could have been hit due to my speed deceleration. I took the vehicle straight to the dealer and the guy checking me in said they get a lot of those system errors. This is not reassuring! they ran a diagnostic, step by step the advisor said, only to say the system shows no issue. This is not acceptable to me as I do not feel safe driving. In addition, the lane keeping assist lkas feature also malfunctions. When there are shadows on the road, my car wants to swerve and steer me incorrectly. My car also will display a giant orange brake warning when nothing is in front of me. One time it braked so hard that my seatbelt locked up and everything on my passenger seat slid off the seat. Thankfully, nobody was immediately behind me because I could have been hit for the sudden and unanticipated braking.
2018 Honda Accord 1. 5turbo lx - fuel injector failure at 58,600 - diagnosed at Honda superstore of lisle, IL. As a result car has low power, all safety features are deactivated, and emission system is malfunctioning. Submitting this issue as Honda has had several other models with early fuel injector failure which it has recalled in the past. Please contact me if a fuel injector recall is issued for my car.
I was driving on interstate behind line of trucks in construction zone at 55mph. It was raining lightly. When zone ended, I pulled into left lane and accelerated to 70 mph. A semi truck in right lane pulled in front of me, I braked to avoid hitting it. I got within 1-2 car length of semi and suddenly car braked on its own. Brakes fully locked up. I tried to accelerate after car slowed a lot (down 15-20 mph) and considerable distance opened up between us. Car would not allow me to regain ability to accelerate. Car brakes remained locked up until car slid to complete stop in left lane. Car then allowed me to again accelerate. Unknown if braking indicator activated. No trouble lights were illuminated. Almost hit by vehicle behind that had to maneuver to avoid. Have noticed other issues where brakes briefly automatically apply when passing large vehicle in right lane. This seems to be happening more frequently in past year.
