Warning problems of the 2018 Honda Accord

The car will have all lights on dashboard showing, car has been taken multiple times to dealership and nothing seems to be wrong but this cause all safety features to malfunction. I have talked with other Honda owners, on forums and acquaintances and they have similar issues.

My car is having the head gasket issue which caused an issue while driving.

Hi, to whom it may concern my dashboard lights have been on for months now and I’ve taken it to the dealership I purchased my car from and it comes back that it’s the turbo that needs replacing. The pricing of that is ridiculous and I’m currently not the only one with this issue ! it’s an all around the world thing! I’m not sure about anybody else but I don’t have that type of money plus while paying other important bills ! there should be a recall against the turbo replacement as well! and just what if I was to get the turbo replacement and then the lights come back on, because I’ve seen multiple people saying the replacement didn’t help with the lights and still have gotten other things done and the lights only off for a couple days ! indeed of answers because this is ridiculous!.

Car goes in limp mode once the brake system lights come on. When the brake light system comes on, none of the functions for the automatic breaks or electrical portion of my vehicle works. The car will act as if it will not accelerate right before the codes start to appear on the car.

My vehicle is stalling out. The engine failed. I was traveling and had to pull off the interstate and stop and restart vehicle. It was very dangerous as traffic was going at a high rate of speed. Yes the vehicle has been confirmed by a dealer. Yes all the warning lights are on in the vehicle.

Every week the following warning lights keep coming on, brake system problem, vehicle stability assist, electric power steering system, hill start assist, acc, collision mitigation. And engine light. Has happened 6 times since purchase. Been to dealer 2 times and problem has not been addressed. They only fixed recall on fuel pump. Took it to dealer we purchased it from and they didn't do anything to fix problem.

My 2018 Honda According touring 1. 5 liter turbo has an intermittent problem with the vehicle’s warning alerts. The vehicle systems affected include adaptive cruise control, vehicle emission system, tire pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability assistance, hill start assist, braking system, road departure mitigation, blind spot info system, and collision mitigation system. When I checked online for other 2018 Accords with a similar problem and found numerous cases. The most commonly recommended corrective action was to replace the battery. I tried that. It corrected the problem for two months, but the same multiple systems failure displays have occurred again. Interestingly, none of the systems that could be independently checked (e. G. , brakes and tpms) showed any indication of actually malfunctioning. There are multiple cases online, reported by 2018 Accord owners, of receiving different explanations from Honda dealers as to the cause of the malfunction from rodent damage to problems with the turbocharger. Several people reported paying for repairs that did not correct the problem or did so only temporarily.

Over the past two weeks, I have encountered problems with my car's many lights. These issues have been related to issues with the braking system, collisions, road departure, emission system, acc system, vehicle stability, and electric power system. By disconnecting the battery, the lights have been switched off. My car can only be operated in this manner. ) the automobile would not go faster, and I was stuck in traffic, endangering my safety. There might have been an accident if someone had been speeding. This had happened before, and when I called the Honda store in milledgeville, georgia, to report the problem, they said they were unable to locate a problem because the lights had vanished. Yes, butler Honda in milledgeville reported that they were unable to locate a problem. The mechanic informed me that it was ok to drive even if the car had lights on because they couldn't use the car today. However, a few days later, the lights had vanished once more. It occurred approximately once in July 2023, twice in December 2023, once in March 2024, and once in April 2024. Before the several lights, there was no warning light.

The problem began a month or so ago. I had my car diagnosed at the Honda dealership and it has a fuel injector fuel pump issue. All of the vehicle lights are on tpms engine light brake system light steering light collision mitigation emmission electrical steering hill start assistive cruise control lkas and brake hold light. My car stalls while driving. It sputters when I start it. When I attempt to excelerate the car is not getting gas and the car wont go. I fear for my safety and the safety of others while driving because the car stalls. Can someone please contact me.

My acc went out along with my collision mitigation system and no accident just for no reason.

Road departure mitigation cruise control collision mitigation emission systems not working when I drive my car it stalled.

With no object in front of the vehicle, the early warning braking system will activate and apply brakes. This is a very serious failure in the system. I have been able to avoid accidents only due to no cars being behind me when these brakes are applied. This is very dangerous at all speeds, but more so higher speeds.

While driving the whole dash board lights up staring break issues, lane departure issues. The car starts julring on ewsy. I was terrified. Then I moved off eway because the car breaks automatically on its own and slows down. The cars are flying around me. It turns out it's the fuel pump. I assume all Accords are having fuel pump issues because I was told it would be October before I would receive a fuel pump on a 3yr old Honda sport. Please investigate and recall. This vehicle is having fuel pump issues and could kill someone when it breaks on the eway out of nowhere, slows down and dash board lights up. I was very lucky. It could've easily cased a major accident.

Many times since I have purchased my 2018 Accord touring 1. 5t - I have found that sometimes my car will slam on the brakes when doing a lane change. I kind of found that it will do this if I dont have my turn signal indicator on. It is extremely stressful when it does this on the interstate doing 65 or 70 mph's. I try to slam the accelerator to the floor when this happens for fear of getting hit from behind. If this normal or a safety defect?.

Twice while driving on 110s in morning rush hour traffic, I get a lane departure warning and the car starts braking. I am not sure if the system is designed to do that but it was a bit scary.

Periodically, at various speeds while driving, the “brake” light will flash and sound on the dashboard, and there’s nothing in front of me. It causes the vehicle to brake and slow down drastically. It happens more often while driving at freeway speeds on the freeway. The vehicle will also light up with “lane departure” and will self correct when there is no need. I was informed by the dealer service department that “it probably was a glare from the sun or there was a reflection that caught the sensor to cause it to brake and do that. ” it would happen at different times if the day.

I had several incidents where Honda automatically brake without reason. I was driving 75mph and without reason it fully brake and bring my car to complete stop leaving cars to emergency brake. I recently had multiple occasions where it again brake automatically with nothing block in front of the car. The dashboard shows lane departure warning, but I am leaving my lane and it automatically brakes unexpectedly. This car must be recalled for safety of everyone on the road!!!.

I am getting warnings of brake system problems including electric parking brake problem says it’s not available, brake hold system problem,brake performance reduced. Adaptive cruise control system problem, collision mitigation problem, and road departure mitigation problem. The car has slowed down on me while on the highway and side streets even when I am trying to accelerate and if I push the pedal all the way down it feels like it is fighting to stop, I’m afraid I am going to get hit from behind due to this. I just brought the car into the dealer for the recalls and mentioned these issues I initially thought the errors codes were maybe due to how cold it’s been because the entire screen also shut off on me then restarted its self minutes later. This car only has 30,000 miles on it.

Supplemental restraint system failure will pop up at random times maybe every other drive, then that code goes away. Just recently the acc and brake system flashes "problem see dealer" as well as the head unit/display turning off and then back on intermittently. Front interior lights will turn on then turn off, sometimes immediately, and this has all been in the last year they've compiled. Closer to when I got my car a couple of years ago, the cruise control would just turn off and the automatic braking would start to slow the vehicle down. I attribute this to the "emergency braking" feature that would stop me with nothing in front of me, so it has been disabled ever since. Unfortunately my car doesn't fall under the VIN registry for the software recall, and from the looks of the other complaints this seems to be common problem with this car. If these issues are present I'm not sure why Honda would be so reluctant to accept that the recall affected a larger number of vehicles than they had initially thought. May have to get in contact with Honda corporate.

When driving this car at any speed above 30 mph the steering wheel sticks when attempting to turn or make any steering adjustments. This happens while the steering wheel is centered and the car is moving strait forward. This is a dangerous situation when driving in heavy traffic at highway speeds .

When vehicle is on, safety features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot indicators, traction control, door locking, hands free phone call answering and hanging up buttons on steering wheel are all not working. My information sceen is locked and cannot be changed.

The fuel pumps, made by supplier denso, were "exposed to production solvent drying for longer periods of time" during manufacturing, According to the NHTSA recall report, which could cause surface cracking and excessive fuel absorption and eventually cause the impeller to become deformed and fail. The fuel pumps on vehicles produced outside limited dates given on the report do not have the problem. This recall did not include the 2018 Honda Accord models even though they are having the exact same issues. My car is stalling the emissions warning light is on along with the adaptive cruise control, lane departure, and the collision mitigation. I feel this should be included in the recall the put in place last year being that is is the same issues. My vehicle would stall in a parking spot at my home when I'm first starting it. It would flash a warning like a car is in front of me randomly when nothing is there. I haven't got into a wreak but I free that I may be in one if this issue isn't fixed and being that this was an issue with previous models I shouldn't have to come out of pocket. I brought this car brand new off the lot. There is no reason why I should be changing the fuel injector 3 years later.

Honda Accord 2014 - beginning in February/March 2021 driving on a major thruway early morning, my car kept veering from the lane. Warning light "steering required" kept coming on. I could feel the car shaking. This occurred numerous times over the 6 hour trip. Very frightening trying to keep control of the car, trying to keep it from veering out of the lane, while the car is shaking. The "steering required/lane departure" warnings terrified me. This occurred again on another morning on an interstate highway. Car kept veering. Warning signs coming on. Car shaking.

For second time all safety warning lights appeared after starting engine including brake warning light. This occurred once before and took to dealer for a reset.

It seems that my remote starter is causing errors. Occasionally when I use it during cold weather. I try to start remotely and it starts for a second and then cuts off. I get in and notice several maintenance alarms telling me to see a dealer when I start the normal way. All safety features seem to be disabled but still driveable. The only way to erase these codes is to disconnect the battery. Then I can go several times with out it happening again. I took to dealers and they found no issues, I told them to just replace the battery, even though that wasnt recommended. I thought it helped, but then the issued occurred again a week later. It is scheduled to be look at by the Honda dealership.

The lane departure warning activated when centered in a lane with clearly marked lines on the road and the steering wheel started pulling me out of the lane on a major highway. Within 5 seconds of the initial warning a follow up warning saying "road departure" appears and the car initiated automatic breaking in the middle of a highway. There are not other cars around me at the time of the incident, but this could have caused a major accident as my car slammed on the breaks at 55 mph. At no time did the car leave the lane despite the warnings. I reported this to the dealership and was told they would look into this if it happened again.

There are a lot of boxes it would not let me check. Started 2020. For no apparent reason the car will just lose all power and all the warning lights will go on. Some times it will just automatically break. Luckily the times it's happened I was city driving but had I been on freeway when it happened may have been dealt for myself and others. Car continues to have same problem, with losing power,all warning lights and breaks. If the 10amp fuse is out it does it. As you can see I've taken numerous times and paid lots of money. I was only aware of 2 recalls and would like to know about the others. I have a lot more to say.

The issue first appeared during my initial test drive before purchase in 2019. The salesman stated it was a low-battery issue from the car sitting on the lot. Since then, the same problem has recurred multiple times. The vehicle displays multiple warning lights — “electric powertrain fault,” check engine, eps, and vsa — with reduced power, jerky acceleration, and temporary loss of throttle response. This poses a safety risk when merging or crossing intersections. Vehicle: 2018 Honda Accord sport 1. 5t, approximately 52,000 miles. Diagnostic codes retrieved include u0401-68 (ecm/electric powertrain communication failure), u0416-68 (vsa/eps system malfunction), and p0302 (cylinder #2 misfire). These faults have occurred despite replacement of spark plugs, ignition coils, and fuel injectors (all oem Honda parts). Dealerships have not been able to permanently correct the issue. The problem appears related to the ecm or communication network between the powertrain and stability systems. The sudden loss of power and unpredictable throttle response during normal driving creates a serious safety hazard.
