While driving my 2019 Honda Accord hybrid at highway speed, the engine suddenly suffered catastrophic failure. The engine block ruptured, leaving a large visible hole with internal engine components exposed. Oil was expelled into the engine bay and ignited/burned briefly. This occurred without prior warning at highway speed and created a sudden loss-of-propulsion hazard. The vehicle has approximately 48,500 miles and has had regular on-time maintenance via Honda dealership. No warnings or other symptoms were active prior to engine rupture event. Fire dept & nys police arrived on scene prior to being towed. The vehicle is currently preserved at sussex Honda dealer for inspection and awaiting diagnosis.
The sunroof glass of the vehicle literally exploded on me, while I was driving. Thankfully I had sunshades on which isn't very normal it just happened to be sunnier this morning driving towards work. I had this inspected at napleton schaumburg Mazda a dealership, and the point of failure was the vehicle. There were no cracked or any prior damage before hand.
Supplemental restraint system problem warning light on.

I was told the best thing to do was report it here. Our son was driving his 2019 Honda Accord and suddenly everything on his dashboard lit up. Was told it is a blown head gasket. We were also told that the shop has had over 81 Accords in with the same issue. They said Honda is trying to sweep it under the rug rather making a recall. We were told this is what they see: the head gasket material between cylinders is very tiny, any minor disturbance will cause coolant to leak into the cylinder. Usually failures are happening between cylinders 2&3 where the material is the thinnest. 2) Honda is really trying to get a lot of power out of this small engine with the inclusion of the turbocharger. Higher octane fuels are needed to prevent premature detonation / knock, especially with forced induction (turbo charger). You can still run the car using 87 octane, but the chances of problems like a blown head gasket happening increase. 3) the head bolts that keep the engine head to the engine block are not strong enough. These bolts are torque to yield at around 50 ft lbs (if that). There have been instances where these bolts don't have enough clamping force to withstand the pre-detonation. This force causes the head to jump and the bolts to stretch. The heat from the combustion in the cylinder is no longer contained, which warps and damages the head gasket over time, leading to its failure. It was suggested to use arp studs which we were told are a higher quality than the oem Honda head bolts and have a stronger clamping force. Our son ended up stranded 3 states away with this issue that we then learn is very common yet there are no recalls.
Multiple warning lights on dashboard. Vehicle runs perfectly fine with brand new battery and spark plugs but still has 9 random warning lights coming on.
Complaint regarding ongoing issues after turbocharger repair – 2019 Honda Accord I am submitting a complaint regarding ongoing issues with my 2019 Honda Accord after a turbocharger-related repair. The initial diagnostic code associated with the vehicle was p2563 (turbocharger boost control position sensor circuit range/performance). After the turbocharger/wastegate repair, my vehicle began displaying multiple system warnings, including: * emissions system problem * acc (adaptive cruise control) warning * collision mitigation system warning * lane departure/lane keeping assist warning * electric power steering warning * stability/traction control warnings * tpms (tire pressure monitoring system) warning after the repair, the vehicle began jerking and experiencing a loss of power. Multiple warning lights appeared. While the warning lights temporarily cleared after a couple of vehicle restarts, they later returned and continue to reoccur. I subsequently took the vehicle to Honda, where I was informed that a sensor required recalibration. Despite having the sensor recalibrated, the issues have continued, and the warning lights continue to return. I am requesting that Honda investigate whether the repair, wiring, sensors, modules, calibration, or the turbocharger system itself may have contributed to these ongoing problems. I have also noticed that many Honda Accord owners are reporting similar turbocharger-related issues and multiple warning lights appearing. This appears to be a very common issue among affected vehicles, and I believe it warrants further investigation to determine if there is a larger underlying problem affecting these vehicles. I am requesting that Honda review this matter, document these concerns, and provide a proper resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Radio/infotainment system displays: please insert usb drive containing valid software license file and press ok. I do not have a software license. Inadvertent automatic emergency braking collision mitigation braking system automatically activated even there is no obstruction while driving.
This has happened out of the blue and randomly more than once recently. Loss of power/no acceleration. Once it had no acceleration when taking off from a stopped position, and then again it lost acceleration while driving at a speed of around 50mph the car would no longer accelerate, had to pull off to the side of the road and turned the car off and let it sit for a few minutes and then restarted the car and it resumed to function normally. There are no codes in the system, no warning lights, this has happened 4 different times now. Honda says they cant do anything if they cant make it repeat the problem when they diagnosis it and if the system doesnt have any active codes in it.
While I was driving my car on the highway doing the speed limit of 60mph my car lost complete power and lost speed to below 20mph and would not gain speed. I pulled over on the highway turned the car off and back on. It begins driving again normal. The next morning it was mis firing so I took it in to the dealer and this is what I was told after getting a diagnostic check: found cylinders 1 and 4 leaking coolant from the head gasket. I recommend replacement of the head gasket, fuel inejectors, and spark plugs. Head may need resurfaced. Included is also oil change.
Head gasket blown at very low mileage. Roughly a little more than 80,000 miles on them and head gasket was blown. Car went to limp mode and caused a safety concern while trying to get to a safe location. The problem has been confirmed by a mechanic and all the lights on the dash lit up at once.
All the lights on the dash board is on, car won’t accelerate pass 20mph. I have gotten the fuel pump replaced (recall), head gasket replaced, ignition coals and spark plugs replaced(tune up) , oil changed, engine hair filter and cabin air filter. Every other week it’s something wrong with my 2019 Honda Accord.
With my 2019 Honda Accords I have had this car going on 4 yrs and now all my dashboard lights are on . . And stay on . Seltbelt lights , lane lights , brake, check engine light and light u can think of it's on in this car and it's not just my car.
When the car is in reverse the reverse camera displays what looks like high contrast has been applied. It has a rainbow colors and the picture gets very distorted, especially when its night time or when the camera is facing the sun. It's extremely difficult to see pedestrians or oncoming cars.
My 2019 Honda Accord suddenly stopped when I was driving on a major roadway without warning. All of the warning lights came on. The mechanic says it’s related to the fuel pump .
The vehicle has an emission system error along with all other errors, car also hesitates to accelerate. Yes it is dangerous a failing turbocharger can result in a noticeable decrease in engine power, especially at higher speeds. Diagnostic : confirmed by dealership. The car was looked at the dealership mechanics nothing happened to where I need any others. It’s just been lagging getting up into speed etc. It popped up a month ago the emission light and went away. Came back two days ago which today is 6/20. Engine system problem tire pressure monitor system electric power steering problem cmbs problem adaptive cruise control problem cmbs problem all lights flashes on screen.
Head gasket issue car jerks and may cut off during heavy acceleration.
On may 13, 2025, I took my car to the Honda dealership, because all of the lights on the dashboard came on. I was told that the clips on my turbocharger needed to be replaced, and so Honda fixed that $120 (diagnostic fee) $209. 99 to fix the issue. I was traveling so they kept the car for a week. I received the car back, and about 2 weeks later, 06/03, the same thing occurred, I was told that the engine air filter needed to be changed, and it caused the lights to go off $32. 84. The next day 06/06, the lights went off again. I took my car back to the Honda dealership and they had the car from 06/09 - 09/04. Today they have reached out to say “it took a while to recreate the issue because they are ‘masking each other. ’ there is a leak in the head gasket, and the turbocharger is going out. ” it would be cheaper to buy a used engine and used turbocharger than to have it rebuilt. ” I have spoken with other Honda owners, who have a 2018-2022 Honda Accord, that have experience the same issue.
Active noise cancellation unit not functioning properly. At 52 mph till passing 56 mph the audio system creates a loud (gradual buildup) whirring noise followed by a boom before it stops. It can be very distractive and dangerous in the right conditions, as it can be misinterpreted as traffic next to or approaching the vehicle causing a short notice distraction while at a high speed. It is a reoccurring incident every time the vehicle is driven and only getting worse. Honda is aware of the issue since there is a service bulletin 921-053) released in June 2021 but has not notified any of its customers who drive an Accord. The model over several years has had this problem.
All warning lights have turned on my dash. Ive done research and this is happening a lot of people that own 2018-2020 Honda Accord 1. 5l.
Dealership refuses to process recall for fuel pump associated with my vehicle. Paragon Honda 57-06 31st Ave, woodside, NY 11377.
On three occaisions, the driver safety assist system shut off. Each time there were no obstruction in radar and the day was not a hot day. The auto assit cruise control shut down to. Shutting the car off seemed to reset. I was unaware by pressing the main swith on steering wheel will reset the system. But as I said turning off the vehilce seems to reset. I checked lane departure but it affected all safe driving systems. Your system would only allow me to check one box it would not let me check.
I was driving down the interstate and all of a sudden all the lights in the dash board came on. My vehicle began to slow down on the interstate in a lot of traffic.
The backup camera does not work approximately 25% of the time car is put in reverse. This is an ongoing problem and has occurred dozens of times over the last 2 months. The screen is blank except for the guidance lines. There are no warning lamps or alarms during the malfunction. The problem has not been confirmed or inspected by the dealer or other representatives.
I own a 2019 Honda Accord purchased brand new in 2019. My family and I have been Honda owners forever. My current Honda Accord lx has 96,000 miles and recently my emissions dashboard illuminated. I took my vehicle to gillman Honda and to my surprise I have been advised the turbocharger needs to be replaces and it will cost me $2,900. 00. I'm also still on the waitlist for the fuel pump recall Honda has failed to provide parts for the past year which is incurring me extra expenses on buying gas way more than I should. After reading multiple complaints, I'm convinced Honda is fully aware of the turbocharger issues and have failed to initiate a recall. I'm very frustrated with the lack of transparency and accountability Honda is conducting regarding their manufacturing process. Why is a car at 5 years old experiencing a blow in a turbocharger and why is it taking over a year to have parts in place for a recall for fuel pump a car that could lead to extra expenses and damage to a vehicle? I am requesting Honda immediately provides the fuel replacement part needed for the recall for my vehicle and contact me for a definite date for repairs and reimbursement for this service that my car shouldn't need due to their failure in manufacturing. Please investigate their turbocharger system problems on their new cars.
My car has difficulty starting and shows up that the battery is dead. When I checked the battery, it was fine. My car has a strange smell coming out of the ac, my oil light is on even if the oil is fine and brand new. Something is wrong with the fuel pump as well.
There is an issue going on in which the door lock actuators within the door latch assembly are failing. This issue happened to my vehicle and through a google search you can see that it's happening to several others. Because of this issue, the doors of the vehicle will not open via remote unlock, only via manual insertion of the key and physically unlocking the other doors. In a situation where you need to quickly enter your vehicle, this is very problematic. Additionally, if I choose to remote start the vehicle, as soon as I use the physical key to unlock the driver side door, the vehicle turns off essentially negating the remote start. I went to the dealership and used the diagnostic device to determine that these devices were failing electronically and I had to have both of my left side assemblies replaced at a high cost.
Unlnown. I need a recall service done on my vehicle , I have not been able to receive this service and my vehicle has hesitation during driving when I want to accelerate entering highways.
Vehicle information: make: Honda model: 2019 Accord sport VIN: [xxx] mileage: 90000 date of initial recall repair under service bulletin 19-091: 6/02/2023 issue description: type of complaint: non-safety related but performance-affecting system failure (a/c system). Description of the problem: in 2023, the a/c system in my 2019 Honda Accord sport began to leak refrigerant due to a faulty a/c condenser and o-rings. The vehicle was repaired under Honda service bulletins (s/b 19-091, s/b 21-014–21-018), which replaced the condenser and o-rings. Within two years of this repair, the same issue has occurred again: refrigerant is leaking from the a/c system, leading to a failure of the system to cool properly. Despite the initial repair being done under warranty, I am being quoted for additional repairs, which suggests a systemic issue with the a/c system. There is no recall issued for this problem, but the fact that the issue has recurred so soon after a factory-approved repair raises concerns about the durability and quality of the parts involved. Safety impact (if applicable): while this a/c failure is not immediately safety-critical, a malfunctioning a/c system could lead to driver and passenger discomfort during extreme weather, potentially distracting the driver and compromising the vehicle’s overall comfort and performance. Backup camera is showing rainbow of colors.
Faulty rear view backup camera. The camera is transmitting images with bright pink and green blotches which makes it difficult to see what is behind the car. The distortion is apparent to anyone looking at the camera image. I first noticed the issue on 6/29/2024. The car is available for inspection upon request.
Back up camera malfunctioning since the past couple weeks. It displays these colorful artifacts as shown in the attached images. It makes it harder to observes obstructions, cars while backing up. Haven't got this component inspected yet but looking online, it seems to be a issue common to different Honda models (particularly 2019 models) - see link below piloteers. Been getting humming/droning sound while driving. I had my mechanic check it but he said there’s no issue with tires or wheel bearings. It is really annoying to hear that kind of sound while driving.
