My vehicle is subject to NHTSA recall number 23v-858, Honda campaign number ygk, service bulletin number 24-009. I have received multiple notifications via us mail from the american Honda motor CO, inc. , automobile division notifying me of a recall of the fuel pump. The first notice was received in February 2024 with instructions to contact my local dealer as soon as possible. I first began contacting my local Honda dealers (findlay Honda, henderson, nv; centennial hills Honda; Honda west) in the las vegas, nevada in March 2024. Each time, I was informed that none of the dealerships had the fuel pump and to call back in may 2024. I called in may 2024 and was instructed to call in July 2024. I called in July 2024 and was instructed to call in October 2024. I called in October 2024 and was instructed to call in November 2024. I called a week before thanksgiving 2024 and was instructed to call in December 2024. Last week, I attempted to contact each dealership again about the fuel pump. The service departments of findlay Honda, henderson nv and centennial hills Honda would not answer the telephone. Honda west placed me on a fuel pump wait list. My vehicle has been on a recall list for almost a year with no repairs. I do not have any confidence that Honda will reimburse the cost of the repair if I utilize another mechanic.
In December 2024, all of the lights on my dashboard came on & my car would not accelerate. The code indicated that it was a "cylinder 2 misfire. " I replaced the ignition coil for cylinder 2 but my car continued to have the same issues. I had all 4 ignition coils replaced and all 4 spark plugs. In March 2025, all of the lights on the dashboard came on again with the car not accelerating properly. I had it looked at again, was told that it was a "cylinder 2 misfire" again but all 4 ignition coils were working properly. A spark plug was replaced at that time. Then, in may 2025, the car did the same thing with all of the lights coming and the car would not properly accelerate. The car again read that there was a misfire with "cylinder 3" but all of the ignition coils worked properly. I had the fuel injectors replaced and another spark plug replaced. The car didn't even make it 24 hours before all the lights came on again. The rpms in the car now go past "3" but will not accelerate & shift gears. The Honda dealership has advised me that the head gasket needs replaced. My car has 74,000 miles on it. I had it inspected April 2024 with no head gasket issues & the car was at 64,000 miles approximately. So, in 8 months' time, the head gasket was blown & the car is well under 100,000 miles. I have been told that the engine my car has, 1. 5l turbo with Honda has had this issue to the extreme that a class action lawsuit has been filed as Honda refuses to do any time of recall or assist with repairs. I literally had to drive with my 4 ways on to avoid being hit in an intersection due to the inability of my car to accelerate. The NHTSA needs to investigate Honda & determine if they are defrauding consumers by refusing to issue a recall due to this common & dangerous issue. I have owned 7 hours in the 30 years I have had a driver's license & never once had a head gasket issue or any issues to this extreme. I have never replaced a head gasket in any car that I have owned.
I own a 2019 Honda Accord purchased brand new in 2019. My family and I have been Honda owners forever. My current Honda Accord lx has 96,000 miles and recently my emissions dashboard illuminated. I took my vehicle to gillman Honda and to my surprise I have been advised the turbocharger needs to be replaces and it will cost me $2,900. 00. I'm also still on the waitlist for the fuel pump recall Honda has failed to provide parts for the past year which is incurring me extra expenses on buying gas way more than I should. After reading multiple complaints, I'm convinced Honda is fully aware of the turbocharger issues and have failed to initiate a recall. I'm very frustrated with the lack of transparency and accountability Honda is conducting regarding their manufacturing process. Why is a car at 5 years old experiencing a blow in a turbocharger and why is it taking over a year to have parts in place for a recall for fuel pump a car that could lead to extra expenses and damage to a vehicle? I am requesting Honda immediately provides the fuel replacement part needed for the recall for my vehicle and contact me for a definite date for repairs and reimbursement for this service that my car shouldn't need due to their failure in manufacturing. Please investigate their turbocharger system problems on their new cars.
There has been a Honda recall out since December 2023 for fuel pump impellers on 2018-2022 model year Accord 1. 5l vehicles, but they still do not have replacement parts. My car is stalling to start in the mornings and I keep getting told to wait 2-3 weeks until they have replacement parts come in. This is taking way too long and I am now at risk of my vehicle not starting.
It’s been nearly a year since the dealership promised to call me as soon as the part arrives. I haven’t received any updates since then. I attempted to schedule an appointment for a service related to the recalls, but they kept canceling it. According to them, they prioritize cars with symptoms, while my car is still drivable reason why my appointment was cancelled.
My check engine light came on and an alert for an "emissions system problem" appeared. The engine made a revving sound when starting the car, and it felt like the vehicle might stall while driving to the mechanic. The local Honda dealership in mount kisco, NY was unable to diagnose the problem, but a trusted mechanic identified that the fuel pump under known recall was the issue. He ordered a new part from a different local Honda dealership in yorktown, NY.
All of a sudden I was driving and every light on the dash lit up the car starting stalling and shut off we replaced the spark plugs and the coils because they told us that was the problem and it's still doing the same thing quite a few people that are having this issue got a recall letter. . I never received a recall for this problem and every time I put my VIN number in it's saying zero recalls something is wrong this is not safe for me and my children.
After fuel pump failed to open, top of this year my vehicle began to stall. I had the recall issue fixed 5/31/2024 by Honda dealer staten island. Just a couple days ago my vehicle started stalling again.
I recieved a recall letter in Feb. Saying that I needed ro wait until fall to have parts re-stocked. I called the Honda dealer to check and see if it is ready to have recall service, the person I spokes to said my car is not under recall. Told the person that I received the recall letter in the past, but she said not all cars are under recall but only specific models, which mine was not included. I visited website that letter provided to check the eligibility, it does say, my car is under recall. I chatted with Honda about this and they were still saying mine is not under recall. I called to NHTSA hotline, the woman I spoke to, said yes. My car is under recall and told me to call the federal agency about this. This Honda dealer was keep refusing the recall service, I have all the evidence of chat messages that they were lying. This need to be addressed because it is definetely related to someone's safety and they were ignoring of what they supposed to do.
I was in the parking lot of my Honda dealership last night looking at new cars. I got in my 2019 Honda Accord to go home. I started the car and I was turning around when the engine stopped. I tried to get it started again for over an hour. The Honda dealership is saying that the high pressure fuel pump has failed and it will be about $1600 for fix it. I am glad that it failed in the parking lot and not while I was driving it! there was no indications of any engine problems or bad performance. The vehicle has less than 37,000 miles. It is scary to think if this had happen in rush hour traffic.
Car has all the safety lights are on. Systems is shown with error msg - 'problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer' transmission, brake system, electric power steering, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, tpms, emission system, auto idle stop, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation, road departure mitigation, & charging system. The car decelerate when driving and just stops. Numerous of reports online showing a problem with fuel injectors. It's unsafe because car just slows down then stops in middle of the road. I too it to Honda dealer and they said fuel injector code is coming up and other codes because all the warning lights are on. It just started out of no where.
2 episodes of loss of engine power while driving on the highway. They were almost a year apart. At highway speeds, pressing down on the gas pedal did not accelerate or keep the car at the proper speed. The check engine light would flash as I pressed down the accelerator but the engine seemed to be misfiring and had loss of power. I had to drift to a safe location. The dealership could not identify or reproduce the problem.
There has been no incident. Honda is not repairing the recall in a timely manner. I am unable to sell my car due to this recall. It has been 8 months. Do they have an unlimited time?.
Everything comes on my dashboard it doesn't let me go in fast than 45 or it will shut off when I am driving and it doesn't let me drive uphill it starts to slow down and stop but if I turn it off and back on it will start off going great and then it will stop working again I have taken it in to hoada and it is gotten me no were please help me.
If you are having this problem where every warning indicator is illuminated, codes scanned but no clear solutions to the “christmas tree dash board this is an ongoing issue with the 10th generation and there is no definitive “fix” recognized by Honda. Sometimes it is the battery, the alternator, the head gasket, the ecm, injectors…. The list goes on and on. Sometimes the repair fixes the issue, but based on research, the issue typically comes back shortly after the service department throws another part at the problem.
There is recall on my 2019 Honda hybrid and According to dealership they have no parts available for the fix and they said they can't do anything about it.
My 2019 Honda Accord has recently with in the last two weeks started to randomly cut out. Driving down the road and completely cuts off. So far I have been able to release the throttle, and re-apply and it would go again. I drive uber/lyft in the tampa bay area and this problem is a huge concern for my safety as well as everyone else. Crown Honda pinellas park, FL had it for two days and claimed they couldn't get it to happen on a test drive, so they couldn't fix it. All warning lights came on, but reset after the car was turned off and currently have not come back on yet.
Car began pausing/stalling/ now will not start.
A recall has been issued and its been 6 months and the manafacture still does not have the parts. I haven't been able to drive my car because it stalls.
Vehicle goes into limo mode after fueling. Multiple warning lights on dash.
Unable to get part for fuel pump recall as we are being being told it’s on back order.
My 2019 Honda Accord showed 10 warning lights. I took it to the dealer and they advised my fuel injectors were running hot and misfiring. Requiring the replacement of one injector totaling almost $2000the vehicle only has 65,000 miles. Though the vehicle seemed drivable, I had no idea if it would just stop running, and it required immediate intervention.
I was alerted that my car is part of a safety recall (2018-20 Accord 1. 5t fuel pump mtr saf recall exp2) via a letter from Honda informing me that my car would need a part replaced, but that part would not be available until the fall of 2024. When I reached out to the american Honda's customer support and campaign center stating my concerns of waiting so long with a defective vehicle, they recommended that I take my car to a Honda dealership and run a diagnostic that would only be financially covered if my car were to indeed be declared "defective" for the recall and I would have to pay out-of-pocket if nothing was wrong with my vehicle. I asked "why would I have to pay for something that is not my fault", they said that I could just wait until I got a second letter when the replacement parts were ready and there is nothing else I could do to be proactive about this recall. I am disappointed with Honda for not being more proactive about this situation as not everyone can afford to pay for extras like diagnostics that may or may not be needed and just want to be able to drive my vehicle with the confidence that it is safe to put my family in and I cannot wait 6 months for a safe vehicle to drive.
The fuel injectors failed at around 150,000 miles. The entire dash will light up with warnings and the car will loose power. I had it checked with the dealer and all of my maintenance's have been done at the dealer. My advisor said that it was due to the fuel injectors and that I would need to replace all of the injectors and the injector rack. That would cost approximately $1,500, but that I could still drive the car like that because my car is in great condition and I always take care of it. He said drive it, "but just don't punch it (accelerate) to much". My advisor knows that I commute to work, I drive about 150 miles per day and that was the advise that he gave me. At 167,000 miles, as I was driving to work, my car started to pull on me, as if it was chocking, I released the gas and continued, but I noticed that the car wasn't accelerating anymore. I pulled over to the shoulder on the freeway and turned off the car, I restarted the car to see if it would continue and it moved for about a mile and then it started pulling again. I called my employer to let them know that I was having car trouble and that I will not make it to work. I returned home and went straight to the dealership. I met with my advisor and he said, "we'll take a look an I'll get back to you by the end of the day. " by the end of the day my advisor informed me that I had a blown head gasket and needed fuel injector replacements and that it would cost me around $5,000 to fix it. My question was, "did this occur because I didn't repair the fuel injectors when you told me?" he said, "no. " my thing is, if I have always took my car to the dealership for all maintenance work, how come they didn't know that my car was leaking or taking in liquid to the engine. I've spoken to other Honda owners with 2018 thru 2020 Honda Accord sport 1. 5 an 2. 0 and at least 15 of them have told me that they've had fuel injector problems with their cars and 5 of them had blown head gaskets. Recall needed.
I had a recall on my fuel pump impeller and Honda replaced the pump after having me wait over 1 year from me beginning to see problems with the car because "they did not have enough parts to go around". After finally receiving a letter stating I could bring the car in to have it replaced I took it to a dealership and had it replaced, by that point, I had experienced the vehicle shutting off while I was driving and having difficulty starting. After they replaced the fuel pump they advised me that the injectors were bad and needed to be replaced. The manufactors knows the part is bad, which is why they discontinued this part and created a new one to replace it, however they're getting out of helping anybody with the cost because they're not recalling them- a simple google search will show thousands of people experiencing this same issue and Honda not taking accountability. The lights on the dash first appeared about a year and a half ago, I called Honda about my recall and they told me they will not replace the part and that it is unrelated (keep in mind this was a phone call- the man had never even seen my car and he told me with certainty this was not related to the recall). The reason I keep mentioning the recall on the pump is because the fuel pump sends the fuel to the injectors, if the injectors are not getting enough, or even getting too much fuel sent to them this will cause them to fail- I believe that due to the faulty pump it caused the injectors to go bad and because Honda made everybody wait to have the recall replaced they should also be recalling the injectors that are also bad and faulty, further support- why would they discontinue a perfectly good part? because they know the injectors are bad and they're trying to get ahead of this. I opened a good will case with them and they denied it, I'm very hopeful that you will do better research than they did into the circumstances and see the story without bias.
Just purchased my 2019 Honda Accord. At 67000 miles and it needs brand new fuel injectors. There is no warning to this issue. Causes the car to stall. And all safety sensors go out. This seems to be a common problem with the Honda Accords. There should absolutely be an investigation.
I took my car to be repaired because it was stalling and misfiring while accelerating, and 11 indicator lights were one (check engine, vehicle stability system warning, brake system warning, adaptive cruise control system). Also, my car smelled like radiator fluid was leaking from somewhere. The local Honda dealer’s service department could not get me an diagnostic appointment for more than 30 day, so I took it to a nearby mechanic shop that I had used before. First, they thought it needed a tune up, so that was done, the indicator lights were reset, and I was in my way. After returning 2 days later (because they weren’t open on Sunday), the mechanic notified me that my fuel injector needed to be replaced. The mechanic contacted the local Honda dealer for parts, and the parts/service member told him that part number for my specific make and model was updated, and he gave the mechanic an updated part number. Also, the parts dealers said that the part was on back order nationally. This was in February of 2024. In August of this year, I was able to get an diagnostic appointment at a dealer in another city, and they provided an update. They reported that there was an issue with the fuel system that needed further diagnosis, and that it would cost me an additional near $400 to do and that they might have to keep my car overnight to complete the diagnostic. Since the start of this issue, I still sometimes experience misfiring and jerking when I try to accelerate.
My car has less than 60,000 miles on it has had all serviced done at the dealership and out of the blue. All of my dashboard lights came on took the car for service same day and was told I needed to replace to fill injectors and the field injector pump this seems to be a common problem with this year and model of Accord so I am wondering why is it not covered either under warranty or recall.
My dash is a christmas tree, been to 3 shops. Many codes are popping up ans showing needs turbocharger. Honda wants almost 3000 to fix. Drives fine but so many lights. I have tons of codes popping up. So many other car owners with same issue.
All warning lights come on the dash, car shudders at cold start, 1. 5t engine has defective fuel injectors, 85k miles and already need replacing. $1400 and not covered under power train warranty.
The car won't "turn over" or start because it's there is not enough or no fuel being delivered to the engine. Fuel is not being delivered significantly enough for the engine to start. Towed to the local dealership to have the fule pump replaced. However, when the parts neede to fix/replace the fuel pump are not avaliable for months. When they tried to have the part delivered they we told no because it could not be proven to he the problem. The repair manager told me they didn't have time, interest or the personel to continue the process and I had to tow it from the dealership to an independently local repair shop where it remains indefinitely.
I have a fuel pump defect and waiting for the part for months now and my car is running bad. Speed this process up or your going to have a class action lawsuit ahead.
I got an oil change done and everything was fine brakes were good , battery , engine , everything . Then dashboard lights came on the engine light saying to take to dealer the. The adas system sensors popped up when I’m driving they will automatically slam on breaks if I’m not even close , now it’s having a hard time starting up.
Regarding NHTSA recall number 23v-858 I received a notice from Honda about the recall in may, 2024. Now, in October, 2024 there has been no news. The dealership, pensacola Honda, says it is awaiting repair parts. How long does it take to complete a recall repair?.
Recall 23v-858 has been going on since December 2023. There is no timeline to get it fixed. This is not being done in a timely manner. I cannot sell my car. It's also a safety issue not knowing if my may just not start one day.
