Multiple warning lights on dashboard. Vehicle runs perfectly fine with brand new battery and spark plugs but still has 9 random warning lights coming on.
Every light on my dashboard came on at once. I took it to a Honda dealership for a diagnostic check and they said it was my turbo but every light is still on.
All of sudden, no incident, no accident, a lot of things were disabled such as adaptive cruise control , forward collision warning , lane departure warning and more while I was out of town (long range highway travel). When I went to Honda dealership, they blamed a few things and fixed them (expensive), then they said that the front camera needed a calibration. It was expensive. After that aiming correction, everything works fine. The camera was not broken. It just needed recalibration, and it costed about a thousand dollars. I would say it was caused by the poor design, which is Honda's fault. I googled this issue and found a lot of Honda owners had same issued and charged 1k ~2k for it. I will report it separately, but my Honda odyssey has the exactly same issue now. I have 2 Honda cars, and both of them have the same issue. I strongly suggest that Honda should recall their front camera and they should reimburse the expense we already paid for it.
On three occaisions, the driver safety assist system shut off. Each time there were no obstruction in radar and the day was not a hot day. The auto assit cruise control shut down to. Shutting the car off seemed to reset. I was unaware by pressing the main swith on steering wheel will reset the system. But as I said turning off the vehilce seems to reset. I checked lane departure but it affected all safe driving systems. Your system would only allow me to check one box it would not let me check.
This car brakes on its own . I reported it to Honda since I have had it have been dealing with the issue it brakes on its own I filled out a form with you guys after reading about “ghost braking” so I am not alone this car is dangerous it has been serviced multiple times Honda corp is aware requested a buy back. Wondering where you guys are in your investigation I have pictures the sensors are all out of whack mitigation control warnings etc but the car literally brakes on its own highway and street Honda states they cannot disable the features. I need help. Please update me occurred again today.
My car will be driving down the road and all my lights will come on and go to fix the problem and they all come back on . I’ve had the car for two years and been in the shop majority of the time . First the front senor was bumped out so none of my safety equipment on the car did not work , all my lights where lit up and check engine was blinking and went to take to Honda dealership and they said they tightened the bolts and car is running good and I picked it up and 15 miles later all my lights came on blinking , this has been ongoing and I know online the years 2018-2021 have has similar problems. I have a warranty but I want to get this checked out for others as well.
On multiple occasion my vehicle will brake unexpectedly with no object in the road or surrounding my car. It has done it at freeway speeds as well as driving through parking lots. It often will sense construction repairs on the road and think I am departing the lane again slamming on the brakes (on the freeway) I have luckily avoided accidents but have had numerous close calls.
I have 2019 Honda collision mitigation braking system problems, other driver-assist technologies with 2019 Honda Accord vehicles also routinely issue false safety alerts. Honda sensing technologies include road departure mitigation system (rdm), adaptive cruise control (acc), lane keeping assist system (lkas), and traffic sign recognition (tsr) all issues my 2019 has . The dealer states it’s multi purpose camera module is at fault needs expensive replacement and labor in excess of $ 1800.
We own a Honda Accord with approximately 39,405 miles on it when we took it to the bob howard Honda dealership located at 13201 north kelley oklahoma city, ok 73131 for repair/diagnosis on August 25, 2022. The failure of the Honda included every sensor displaying in the vehicle from emission to lane change, etc. The dealership stated that the only code they noticed was a low fuel pressure but there was no issue other than that and these new cars are sensitive to low gas in vehicles which they felt contributed to every emergency sensor warning displayed with safety issues. We picked vehicle back up and on August 27, 2022, my wife was stranded cause the vehicle just stopped and would not start again with the same codes as before. Just quit running while driving which was very unsafe for my wife. It took well over 3 hours waiting for vehicle to be towed cause Honda doesn't have a shift release easily accessible on their Accord models when vehicle is unable to start and to be put in neutral cause it won't start. We had vehicle towed back to bob howard Honda and on Monday, August 29, 2022 they stated it needed a fuel pump which would cost around $1007. 00. However, the fuel pumps are on back order with no timeframe for delivery and the warranty for this vehicle expired apparently at 36,000 miles. First off fuel pump should not have failed this soon for a brand new Honda Accord or any vehicle for that matter. This is a failure in manufacturing.
I am filing this complaint because I just took in my 2019 Honda Accord to the Honda service department so they can look at the issue with the sensor lights that are going off in my car. I thought it was a simple malfunction with the sensors but they came back telling me that there is a misfire issue with the engine causing the sensor lights to engage and all going off at the same time. My car only has 37000 miles on it and its less than 3 years old. I've taken the car to a 3rd party mechanic for regular maintenance work and its up to date on oil changes and all other maintenance that is required for the car. The Honda folks submitted for the warranty to cover the repairs of $4800 to replace the head gasket replacement along with the machining of the engine head. I have not gotten into an accident now have I used my car to race anyone that would cause the car to warp to that point. I think this is a defect and the Honda warranty folks are just using the excuse that I was using a 3rd party mechanic to fix this issue to avoid having to pay for the repairs. I cannot afford this repair $4800. I still have to make car payments as well as the insurance on the car for something fairly new. Can you help in any way with this?.
I purchased a 2019 certified pre-owned Honda Accord touring hybrid in February, 2022. This was the second Honda Accord touring hybrid I've owned, so I was already very familiar with this vehicle. Over the next couple months, I started experiencing some odd things - the lkas and lane departure systems weren't operating correctly consistently. For example, the steering wheel would start shaking and warning lights pop up on my dash, and the steering wheel is pulling to one direction thinking I'm veering into another lane when I'm not. This was concerning, but at the time the infotainment system was crashing regularly and that was more concerning. In addition, the automatic emergency braking also seemed to be off, engaging at times when there wasn't a vehicle in front of me. In may, 2022 I was driving on the highway with the adaptive cruise control set to 70mph (the posted speed limit). There were no other cars on the highway in my line of sight, when without warning, the automatic emergency braking system engaged and the car slammed on the brakes, coming to nearly a complete stop. Alarms, lights and brakes all fully engaged in a sudden and unexpected manner, absolutely putting my life at risk. I was so shaken up by this experience that I had to pull over and compose myself before continuing on to my destination. I took the vehicle in to my local Honda dealership and told them of all the issues. To date, the only issue fixed is the infotainment system. I've taken my vehicle in to Honda multiple times, and although trouble-shooting and 'fixes' have been done, within a couple of weeks from the 'fix', the car starts behaving like this again. Honda repeatedly says they can't find a problem or they've 'fixed' the problem. Clearly there is a problem and none of the 'fixes' have worked. I don't feel safe driving the car, but cannot afford to replace it.
This is a follow up for NHTSA complaint 11452424. After the engine light came on along with other warning lights, like a christmas tree and taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership with a almost 3700. 00 repair bill for a vehicle with with under 88,000 miles. The dealership said the vehicle needed a head gasket. The problem is the dealership did not provide the error code numbers. They just gave a price due too coolant going into cylinder number 3. I asked the service rep for a break down the for repairs, which he said was provided. The only thing provided was coolant leaking into cylinder 3 with no codes that the dealership found with the engine light on. I filed a complaint with Honda to off set the repair cost. Mind you we are talking about a head gasket. Honda denied the claim and referred to lack of maintenance. When I told the representative I do my maintenance. He said it was because the dealership wasn’t making money. Who in their right mind would pay 144. 00 an hour maintenance when they can’t be up front and provide codes that were thrown on engine light for repair bill. I think NHTSA needs to investigate Honda’s technical service bulletins regarding cylinder misfires in 1,2,3 and 4. I am quite skeptical that a dealership can not list error codes on a repair estimate that they aren’t hiding something. My family will never purchase another Honda and I will share this story with everyone I know. Something is being hidden if the dealership doesn’t provide error codes. I have never seen this in my 30 plus years of driving.
The lane departure warning. Auto dimming headlights,, and traffic sign recognition system stopped working at about 40000 miles. The dealer says they can't fix it. Also, my windshield, like so many others I've read about, spontaneously cracked while parked, on a day with moderate temperature and no hail. The camera was realigned. Still, the 3 sensing aids above still don't work. Uncertain about exact date.
Numerous times while driving on the interstate at 65-75 mph the vehicle has braked hard in the highway. No cars beside or in front. The last incident I was almost rear ended by a Toyota tundra who barely was able to stop. I took the car to vann york Honda, was told it was a recall for a bcm module (obviously untrue, that is for wipers, rear defogger, etc), but I did get the issue documented on paper. This was if something happens to me, I or my family have documentation that the car does have an issue with braking at high rate of speed for no reason. At times the brake light comes on, the last two times lane departure light has come on and I have been centered up in my lane, no one in front of me or as I stated beside me. The car is a danger to the driver, any potential passengers and the vehicle following. Honda seems not to be concerned as I have read online in many places that this began with 2018 models and affects not just the Accord, but the civic as well. My 75 year old mother has a 2019 civic that is doing the same thing. I suppose if someone gets hurt and families start to sue, Honda may do something. Now that I have documentation, if I get hurt, that is my plan!.
This car brakes on its own. It has done this over and over. Honda claims it has no issues dealer has always serviced it replaced things but it brakes on the freeway, its just shuts down nothing I can do. I reported when it began to happen I even filed a report and sent letter to Honda USA. It last did it a few weeks ago on an expressway near my home. First time it ever did it on the street its always been freeways. I have documented emails to dealer, Honda corporate vm. No one is helping this car is not safe. It is not a made up thing. This car brakes on its own. It beeps signals when it does. It does not move it just shuts down. I have not been hit but know it will one day happen. If it does it has been reported and documented to piercey Honda now envision Honda in milpitas CA . My service advisor is adrian cruz.
