Warnings problems of the 2021 Honda Accord

It makes false things there is no car but it brakes by self for nothing.

The touch screen is malfunctioning. Its "ghost touching" as in the screen is pressing random buttons on the screen at random times while driving. It can change and has changed settings while driving (distance for breaking before a collision, etc). While its touching random things on the screen im unable to touch anything on the screen. As if its locking me from pressing anything.

Experienced cmbs with malfunctioning false breaking while no obstacle, acceleration delays (features not available: electric braking, lane departure, electric power steering, cruise control, adaptive collusion prevention and brake system warning on dashboard).

Since the first winter after I purchased my vehicle in 2021, typically when cold, but not always, I lose all the Honda sensing (advanced driver assist features). The dashboard lights up with the following warnings . - collision mitigation braking system problem. See dealer - road departure mitigation system problem. See dealer - auto high beam problem. See dealer - adaptive cruise control system problem. See dealer - lane keep assist system problem. See dealer this failure of these safety systems can last anywhere from 5-60 minutes. Sometimes if you shut the vehicle off and turn it back on again, the warning will go away. On multiple cold mornings (below ~45°f), my 2021 Accord hybrid displays a cascade of safety system failure warnings upon startup. The dash shows errors for the collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation, and more—all at once. When these systems are disabled, it severely compromises safety. This issue happens repeatedly in colder weather. The dealer has personally witnessed the issue in their service bay and acknowledged it's a known problem but had no fix, advising me to turn the car off and on again. This recurring failure of critical safety systems in cold conditions puts me, my passengers, and other road users at risk.

I saw that they are investigating Honda pilots for an automatic braking issue. I wanted to report that on my car I’ve had the automatic brake warning come on at least 3 times while driving at highway speed with nothing in front of me. This is over a period of 3 years (my car has 40k). The brakes didnt engage, but it alerts you like it will engage for a couple seconds then the alert goes away. It could be related to the pilot issue. If the brakes did engage I would likely get rear ended on the highway. So far it hasnt happened but it is scary when it does. And totally random as each time no car within 2000ft.

I was driving down the highway at approximately 70 mph and a vehicle ahead, probably 8-10 car lengths lightly applied their brakes slowing down to my estimate of 60 mph. The forward collision activated and slammed my brakes causing a pickup behind me to slam on their brakes and swerve onto the shoulder to avoid a collision. This is not the first time this has happened, but the previous time the braking wasn't as severe.

The infotainment system randomly presses all over the screen all the time. This causes tony of issues such as turning on the radio, changing navigation, and making beeping noises constantly. Honda has replaced the infotainment system twice in my vehicle and it has fixed absolutely nothing. This is a major safety issue because of how distracting it is when driving. The incessant beeping noises (it beeps every time the touch screen is “pressed”) makes it so that I don’t know whether the car is beeping for safety issues (lane assist etc) or not. The radio being turned on at random is extremely startling and has caused me many near accidents. The navigation turning off as I am navigating through traffic has caused much stress and confusion which can lead to an accident. This is a major issue that needs correction ASAP.

My daughter was driving the vehicle on the highway, probably 65 mph. She said that a sheet shaped piece of metal struck the front bumper. It is not clear if this was on the road or fell from the car. It seems to have happened fast. The vehicle sustained no obvious body damage but the frame and bracket holding the milliwave radar module were damaged. The milliwave module was intact. The cover for the milliware radar module was missing. This car has not been in a collision. The dealer wants over $2,000 to replace all the components including the milliwave radar. They say it is probably broken. If the existing module is reinstalled, they say it may not work. I was not able to download the estimate for repair. Does this happen often or is there a design defect?.

The collision mitigation brake system continues to come off, and today it made my car spin, and I almost crash into the media.

I was driving north on 95 in massachusetts going about 75 mph and the forward collision avoidance went off (flashing break waring in the dashboard) slowing my car down to under 50 mph. There were no vehicles or obstacles in front of me. This keeps happening and it's only a matter of time until I get rear-ended. I reported this to Honda and they said it's just the safety features. . . . I had one person at Honda admit this was a know issue in the service departments but american Honda isn't acknowledging this as a know issue or problem. There is no way this should be happening- it's dangerous.

Vehicle tends to turn on brake warning light when there is nothing in the way. Driving with no obstacle in the way and the brake warning sign will display on dashboard. I’ve driven it on the highway with no cars and it will signal me to brake for no reason. I’m afraid the brakes might apply which could cause a serious accident.

The forward collision will automatically brake with nothing visibly in front of it. I have drove down the highway going 60mph. No car, animal, person, tall grass, etc in front of me or crossing the road and my vehicle pops up brake, brake, brake, and my car slams on break. This will cause someone to rear end me which can lead to a serious injury or even dead. I have contacted Honda corporate who instructed me to contact townsend Honda in tuscaloosa, al. I contacted townsend Honda and they stated that it was nothing they could do about it and they have other complaining of the same issue.

Rear seat belt will not click and lock in. With the forward collision warning there was times I was driving on the freeway where there is no vehicle in front of me and hard brake on me and shows forward collision warning. This happened like 3 or 4 times.
