When making a left turn, my car suddenly bucked up onto the air feeling like I ran over a big obstacle which was not the case. Car came to sudden stop and I was thrown forward over steering wheel. Thankfully no one was behind me or it would have been catastrophic. The first week I owned the car, when going through a car wash, the car started jumping up and down and wouldn't move forward. Had to back out of carwash. Dealer told me it was the collision mitigation system and to turn it off before going in. The "brake" light on dash periodically flashes when no cars are in front of me. I am truly afraid to drive this car which only has 5,800 miles on it. Dealer can't find a problem. I am turning off collision feature every time I drive, but what if I forget? I believe this is an extremely dangerous defect and should be looked into. It doesn't always happen, but when it does. . .
On October 3, 2025, at approximately 1:00-1:30 pm, I was driving southbound on the hardy toll road in the far-left lane on my way to a friend's house. Road conditions were dry, and it was a bright, sunny day. While driving, I noticed something felt unusual with my vehicle. Other vehicles began passing me, so I checked my side-view mirror to see if there was an issue with my rear wheel, but I did not observe anything. When I looked forward again, there were no vehicles directly in front of me. Suddenly, my car locked up, and the word "brake" appeared on the dashboard. My vehicle immediately began veering sharply to the right. While veering, my vehicle was struck on the passenger side (t-boned) by another vehicle. The impact caused me to collide with the guard rail, strike a freeway sign, and ultimately crash into the tree line near the water off the roadway.
