Vehicle drove normally in the morning commute. In the afternoon commute it started normally and as I approached highway speeds the alarms started showing up. The brake, hill descent system, abs, critical failure. The vehicle started losing speed and could not accelerate. Losing speed at highway speed was alarming and finally all dashboard went red with alert to stop driving and engine heating warming. Speed was in the range of 35-40 mph on a highway rated 70 mph. I had to pull over and tow car to dealership.
The contact owns a 2025 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the vehicle intermittently stalled. While idling or utilizing cruise control, the vehicle suddenly accelerated to 70 after releasing the brake pedal. While entering the garage with her foot hovering over the brake pedal, the vehicle suddenly accelerated forward and crashed through the wall into the tv room. The brake light was flashing. There were no reported injuries, airbag deployments, fire or police report filed. The gas pipe was bent into the wall, but she was able to turn off the gas line. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who reset the computer and replaced the battery. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 6,090.
Vehicle makes rattling noises while accelerating similar to a diesel engine also rough transitions between ev mode and gas mode also when you press the charge button the engine makes a very noticeable jerk once it’s on ,Honda does not want to fix my issue and says everything is normal and cannot replicate the issue!! there is clearly something wrong I suspect fuel injector issues as others reported but dealer does not want to take accountability.
I purchased this vehicle at 0 miles in July 2025 from Honda Accord in pensacola florida. I reported in July 2025 that there was a noise and I was unhappy with the vehicle and would like to exchange the vehicle within the 30 days months later, the noise got louder, and I took it in to see what the problem was I was told there was no issue that this is the loud start noise when you first crank the car up I then proceed to advise them that there’s clicking under my steering wheel. I brought the vehicle back in to Honda of pensacola they checked it and said that this was a steering box issue that had been a recall on most of the Honda civic. I brought it back in and a tech looked at it, diagnosed it and said that it was a clock spring. They fix the clock spring and said that should fix the problem. Unfortunately, the north continue and got louder. I brought the vehicle back in and they said that they had to fix the steering box and that it was fixed and would not have any more issues. A month later, may 2026 the noise reappeared and I took it back to Honda. They are now saying they know that it is a safety issue it is diagnosed that it is the gear steering box once again, but there is no resolution to fix it. My car have been nyos wrong three times and the issue is still not fixed. From the beginning, I was misled and told that they would have in place for me about exchanging the vehicle never happened never try to reach out or anything at this time I’m paying for a vehicle they have had thousands and thousands of dollars worth of work and no resolution to fix the main problems I am asking for help because I am a single mother thinking I’m getting reliable transportation and unfortunately I’m getting the short end of a stick with what seems to be a lemon for a vehicle I’m very unhappy and asking for help.
Was driving my new car home and all of a sudden the vehicle comes to a stop, I almost get hit by other cars several times and my daughter panicking in the back seat, the entire dashboard lights up and car stays brake system error please contact dealer. After turning car on and off a few times, I can begin driving again but the brake error system message remains. Taking to dealership in the morning.
