Seat Belt problem #1

The right-hand-side rear seat belt buckle has been under the seat ever since the vehicle was purchased in November 2024. I did not notice it at first. Recently, when I started dropping my daughter off at school, I noticed it. I tried pulling the buckle up, but it's completely stuck under the seat. I asked a local mechanic to pull it out. He gave me an estimate of $1000 because it requires disassembling the seat to remove the buckle. Now, I avoid using the vehicle to drop off my daughter. When I have to use the vehicle, I use the left-side buckle with the right-side strap. This is completely the manufacturer's incompetence and neglect toward passenger safety.

Seat Belt problem #2

I noticed all of the rear seats will show gray on the cluster indicating no occupants are in the seat, when a person is actually sitting there and is not buckled. Increasing the risk of injury in a crash. Once the rear seat occupant buckles (if they buckle) the seat belt, a green check light will appear on the screen alerting the driver, and after will display a red light indicating when that occupant has unbuckled. This was confirmed but could not be repaired by the Honda service department today, when I had the 2023-25 hyb icm sw update safety recall resolved.

Seat Belt problem #3

My 7 year old grandson was in the left rear seat and became trapped within the seatbelt, like a noose, cinching tighter and tighter causing extreme abdominal pain and trouble breathing. This occurred when the vehicle was stopped in a parking lot, after the release of the belt from the latch. He was in a booster seat with the belt across his lap and chest. To release the clasp from the latch, he had to bend over and twist his torso to his right, reaching way down to where the red relates button is almost buried between the left and center seat sections. Quite hard. At that point, the chest portion of the belt slipped over and behind his head as he was trying and trying to press the red release button. When he released the seat belt from the latch, the belt tightened across his lap and he couldn’t get out. While struggling, the belt kept retracting into the top back of the seat, getting tighter and tighter. . He pushed the booster out from under him, only for the seat belt mechanism to get tighter and tighter. 4 adults struggled, every move made it tighter and tighter. The belt had to be cut to release the child. . We are very concerned about this situation as his breathing and abdominal area was in critical distress. Why wouldn’t the seat belt allow us to pull it out of the retractor at the top left of the seat? we would like Honda to repair this at no cost to us, the car is less than 4 months old.

Seat Belt problem #4

Unknown. I believe the seat belts in my car do not provide the restraint necessary for my safety. Toke car to dealer, who provided a vague explanation in an effort to convince me that there is a special way of pulling the seat belt all the way out and wait until they click to ensure they engage. The vehicle manual doesn't state this requirement. Honda corporate would only advise me to take the car to another dealer or request the dealer I bought the car do a diagnostic test. The dealer general requests that I request this service by text. I have requested the service to which there has been no answer,.
