There are 13 alerts showing on the instrument panel for various systems not functioning, along with accompanying yellow dash lights such as tire pressure, abs, brake system, traction control, acc, and lkas. Systems not available include, abs system, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation, auto high-beam, tpms, electric power steering, plus several others. These alerts first started January 2026 and occasionally would disappear; however, over the past few months the warnings have become constant. The vehicle has approx. 120,000 miles. Due to tpms not functioning, I am not given a warning when a tire has gone flat/blown while driving as the tire pressure light is always on the dash. The only warning I am provided is the sound/smell of the rim dragging along the road to notify me the tire is flat. This poses a risk to myself and others by creating an emergent situation requiring me to pull over rapidly. Another incident occurred when acc was enabled (at a time when the alerts had been appearing on and off). Cruise control set at 70 mph when suddenly the above mentioned alerts reappeared and acc system became unavailable, leading to unexpected deceleration on the highway. This poses a risk to myself and others as it creates unpredictable driving patterns, unbeknownst to the driver. Initially I replaced the battery with no resolution of the issue. I later discovered maintenance code displayed by the vehicle was c003a-62 for right rear wheel speed sensor circuit failure (circuit short to ground or open). The mechanic recommended replacing the right wheel hub assembly as this was suspected to be the cause of failed circuit. When that repair lasted no more than 10 mins before the warnings reappeared, the right rear wheel speed sensor itself was then replaced. Similarly, this did not fix the issue. I have not sought additional service due to repair costs beginning to add up with no resolution. Based on the history of reports, this issue does not seem uncommon.

I am submitting a safety complaint regarding my 2019 Honda Accord lx. While driving, a yellow “brake system” warning light appeared on the dashboard. The vehicle continued to drive normally, and no obvious braking problems were noticed at that time. However, the warning remained illuminated while driving. In addition, I experienced intermittent episodes where pressing the accelerator pedal did not immediately increase vehicle speed. There was an approximately 1–2 second delay before the vehicle responded to throttle input. This occurred while the vehicle was in motion and could create a potentially dangerous situation in traffic. After turning the vehicle off and restarting it, the warning light disappeared. The issue appears intermittent. The brake fluid level is normal, and no diagnostic trouble codes were detected with a basic obd-ii scanner when the warning was present. After researching the issue online, I found multiple owners reporting similar symptoms involving brake system warnings and temporary loss of accelerator response on Honda Accord vehicles. I am concerned that this may indicate an electrical, braking system, sensor, or software-related defect that could affect vehicle safety. I request that NHTSA investigate this issue and determine whether a broader safety concern exists.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph with the cruise control engaged, the brakes suddenly applied without application. The brake message was displayed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified about the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 99,735.
- the car's automated systems randomly applies severe breaking at improper times - the cars head gasket has blown and in turn has blown the radiator and thermostat.
Infotainment center: I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2021 Honda Accord sport and the ongoing issues I’ve experienced with its infotainment system. This problem has been persistent, unpredictable, and increasingly concerning from both a usability and safety standpoint. Since purchasing the vehicle, the infotainment center has repeatedly malfunctioned without any warning. The screen will freeze, switch from setting to setting, or become unresponsive to touch input. At times, it will randomly reboot while I am driving. These issues occur regardless of whether I am using navigation, bluetooth audio, or even when the system is idle. This also affects the adas, periodically, warnings will be displayed, and then not show up. What makes this especially troubling is how it affects my ability to safely operate the vehicle. For example, when the system freezes, I lose access to navigation directions mid-route, which forces me to either drive without guidance or attempt to troubleshoot the issue while on the road. Similarly, when using hands-free calling or music controls, the glitches can be distracting and require repeated attempts to regain control, taking my attention away from driving. I rely on my vehicle daily, and this ongoing issue has caused a great deal of frustration and concern. A modern vehicle’s infotainment system is not just a convenience—it is integrated into essential driving functions. When it fails, it directly impacts driver awareness and safety. I am requesting that this issue be investigated further, as it appears to be a systemic problem rather than an isolated defect. I hope that by reporting this, it may help lead to a resolution for myself and other drivers experiencing similar problems.

The day I purchased the vehicle from the dealer, every warning light began cycling on including the automatic emergency braking failure, engine system failure and others. I immediately took the car back to the dealer and they supposedly repaired it. When the car was returned to me, I drove it for less than a week and the same thing happened again. When the light came on, the car’s auto braking and cruise control stopped working. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was the head gaskets, which they fixed. When I got the car back again, I drove it for 2 days and it did the same thing again, this time all of the warning codes came on. This time, I had a total engine failure because the timing chain broke. The dealer took almost two months to replace the engine and it cost us almost $6,000. I got the car back last Saturday. Today, driving home from work, the automatic brake system failure warning came on again and the car won’t automatically brake and cruise control wouldn’t work. This is exactly what happened last time. I am afraid to drive this car because I don’t know if the brakes will fail and the system currently isn’t working. We are taking it back to the dealer which will likely cost us more money. We are stuck with this car and cannot get rid of it because we owe more money on it then it is worth because of replacing the engine.
Car went into limp mode.
Dashboard shows that there is a problem with the adaptive cruise control system, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system, and automatic high beams. Message occurs intermittently, usually lasting a few seconds, and goes away. Can happen while driving or while parked. Usually occurs a handful or times per day. Seems to happen more frequently when engine bay is warmed up. This is a safety issue because it suddenly and unexpectedly disables the advanced driver assistance systems. For example, while driving on the highway, cruise control and lane keeping assistance will turn off suddenly, forcing the driver to intervene with all of these systems at once. This also has other implications, like automatic emergency braking not functioning correctly to help prevent an accident. Vehicle has been brought to various Honda dealers a total of three times. A case has been opened with american Honda motor CO, but no solution to the problem has been found.

There has been no incident with my vehicle but I am writing to look into this issue. I see several threads online regarding these warning lights that just randomly pop up without any indicator of a problem with the vehicle. This stops all these assistive features from responding if there were a hazard. Please look into this because Honda is not responsive to the recall issue.
The lights and warnings below popped up on my dash after the engine light had come on and then off again for about a week. See below, -emission system problem avoid heavy acceleration and high speed. See dealer -tpms light -brake system problem -brake hold system problem -electric power steering system problem -vehicle stability assist system problem -hill start assist problem -adaptive cruise control system problem -collision mitigation braking system problem -road departure mitigation system problem went to get diagnosed at the dealership and was told that the turbo on my engine had failed. Mechanic said it had nothing to do with me and that it failed on its own. I saw that it was a reoccurring problem with other Honda owners with the same year, make, and model as mine but are being given the run around and no solution.
While driving in a busy area with pedestrians and other vehicles, my car hard braked out of nowhere to a complete stop for no reason. I was nearly rear ended. The adaptive cruise control shuts off completely after 15 minutes in use. Says to take it to the nearest dealership. Turning off and restarting the car gets rid of the notification.
Multiple warning lights on dashboard. Vehicle runs perfectly fine with brand new battery and spark plugs but still has 9 random warning lights coming on.
Complaint regarding ongoing issues after turbocharger repair – 2019 Honda Accord I am submitting a complaint regarding ongoing issues with my 2019 Honda Accord after a turbocharger-related repair. The initial diagnostic code associated with the vehicle was p2563 (turbocharger boost control position sensor circuit range/performance). After the turbocharger/wastegate repair, my vehicle began displaying multiple system warnings, including: * emissions system problem * acc (adaptive cruise control) warning * collision mitigation system warning * lane departure/lane keeping assist warning * electric power steering warning * stability/traction control warnings * tpms (tire pressure monitoring system) warning after the repair, the vehicle began jerking and experiencing a loss of power. Multiple warning lights appeared. While the warning lights temporarily cleared after a couple of vehicle restarts, they later returned and continue to reoccur. I subsequently took the vehicle to Honda, where I was informed that a sensor required recalibration. Despite having the sensor recalibrated, the issues have continued, and the warning lights continue to return. I am requesting that Honda investigate whether the repair, wiring, sensors, modules, calibration, or the turbocharger system itself may have contributed to these ongoing problems. I have also noticed that many Honda Accord owners are reporting similar turbocharger-related issues and multiple warning lights appearing. This appears to be a very common issue among affected vehicles, and I believe it warrants further investigation to determine if there is a larger underlying problem affecting these vehicles. I am requesting that Honda review this matter, document these concerns, and provide a proper resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? the electrical system on my Accord and yes it will be available. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? the vehicle starts to not pick up speed and eventually kills. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? by the manufacturer (dealership) on multiple occasions, I was instructed to unplug the vehicle’s battery. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? yes, about a year and a half ago.

All light come on brake system, acc, road migration, collision migration, hill start assist problem, vehicle stability system, electrical power steering, and it will not go when at a light. Almost causing a car accident.
The multifunction adas camera module failed due to "internal error" at only 9 years old. This means that critical safety systems such as automatic emergency braking/lane keep assist malfunctioned and could not assist with avoiding collisions. I took the car to the dealer and they confirmed the issue, and charged me $2000 to fix this critical safety system. I noticed that the new camera assembly has an updated part number, indicating that Honda might have been aware of this failure issue. I have also seen some forum posts online of others having this failure with their 2016-2017 Accords with Honda sensing. Therefore I believe this should warrant a recall. When the failure first occurred upon vehicle startup a few days before I had it repaired, all these systems were disabled and there were multiple warning lamps on the gauge cluster and screen. Prior to this sudden failure, everything had been working fine as intended up until the very day it failed.

Experiencing an ongoing issue where multiple warning lights appear on the dashboard at the same time. The lights include several safety and system warnings, making it look like many different systems in the vehicle are malfunctioning simultaneously. Even after repairs were made, the dashboard warning lights continue to stay on or return shortly after. It has become frustrating because the vehicle continues to show problems even when something has already been fixed. This is a safety concern. How can we know if something is actually malfunctioning if codes are being thrown, constantly?? we also can’t use the safety features included with the vehicle when this is happening. Having so many warning lights on at once also creates concern about the reliability and safety of the vehicle, especially since several of the warnings relate to important systems such as braking, driver assistance features, and engine performance. Repairs aren’t helping and I’m seeing sooooo many other 2018 Accord owners with the same issue, as has been documented with this site, NHTSA.
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle unexpectedly came to a stop without the brake pedal being depressed. The “brake” message was displayed on the instrument panel. The failure occasionally occurred while the cruise control feature was activated. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v785000 (electrical system). Additionally, occasionally the electrical system was inoperable, and the instrument panel failed to function properly, and the trunk and fuel door unexpectedly opened. The contact also stated that the automatic door locks failed to function properly, requiring several attempts to enter the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to several dealers; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures, and the contact was offered a buyback option for the vehicle. The contact expressed concerns that, due to the multiple failures, the vehicle was unsafe to operate and created a hazardous condition, because the vehicle was almost in a crash with children inside the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.

Vehicle won’t start brake hold system problem, vehicle stability assist system problem, hill start assist problem, electric power steering problem collision mitigation system problem all appear on the dash but vehicle won’t start. Battery is not the issue, tested the battery it’s at 12. 5v. Hard reset the battery and jumpstarted but issue persist. Taking vehicle to dealer to diagnose issue but I saw lots of youtube videos and forums of people having the same issue but don’t see a recall open for this issue occurring.
I was traveling to kentucky from nyc in December 2025 and while in pennsylvania a sign on my dash stated your safety equipment was out because of a build up on the front lens outside of the car and it stated to stop and clean it off, so I pulled off to the side of the highway and stopped my car and when I stiffed it into park there was a griming noise from the transmission. When I went into the dealership for my next oil change I reported it and they didn't even want to note this down on my service report. They said it happened to long ago and they didn't care about the problem, I just wanted them to know for future use. Also another issue happened a couple of months prior while stopped on the highway near my home because of traffic, my car shifted from drive into park by itself without the shifter moving I don't know what happened but I moved the shifter from drive to park and moved it back to drive. And again I reported this and they didn't want to even note on my service report . Not happy about this situation either. Then I received a text message from the dealership that they wanted to buy my car against a trade in and I said to myself if they refuse to record my problems I 'll take my business somewhere else.
Problem summary: while using the vehicle’s traffic assist / adaptive cruise control (system that controls acceleration and braking in traffic), the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated toward a vehicle directly ahead as if no lead vehicle was present. This created an imminent rear-end collision risk. The issue occurred twice in the same drive. Incident details: on 18 Dec 2025 at about 5-15mph/ “stop-and-go traffic”], I was driving with traffic assist / adaptive cruise control enabled, which normally manages throttle and braking in traffic. I was following a semi tractor (no trailer attached). The semi was approximately 15–20 feet in front of me. While the system was engaged and operating normally moments before, the vehicle accelerated forward as if the lane was clear, despite the semi being directly ahead. I had to apply the brakes manually to prevent a collision. A short time later in the same traffic situation, the vehicle did it again—it accelerated toward the same type of lead vehicle and I again had to brake to avoid rear-ending it. During the second event, I observed the instrument cluster / driver display showing the lead semi incorrectly identified as a passenger car instead of a truck, and the display showed that “car” accelerating away, which was inaccurate and did not match real conditions. This suggests the system may have misclassified or failed to track the lead vehicle, leading to unintended acceleration.
The car will have all lights on dashboard showing, car has been taken multiple times to dealership and nothing seems to be wrong but this cause all safety features to malfunction. I have talked with other Honda owners, on forums and acquaintances and they have similar issues.
While engaging adaptive cruise control on highway speed, all the sudden I lost the sight of the car in front of me on the display, almost causing a collision, I also lost the correct waze display. After I stopped the car, shut off engine, then restart the car, re-engaging adaptive cruise control, both problems disappeared. This is an intermittent problem, it should be ASAP investigated then recalled due to huge safety concern !.
While driving my 2020 Honda Accord hybrid, VIN [xxx] , the car would start exhibiting rough engine feels, and all of the dashboard lights would come on. The car would lose power at highway speeds, and I’d have to pull over to turn the car off and on. When checking on obdii meter, getting p0301 codes. I have replaced the coils and plugs twice and still not better. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
There has been a recall on newer cars for the loss of power this is a similar to that problem.
While driving in adaptive cruise control, a vehicle in the other lane was slowing down and turning right, but my car started applying the brakes for no reason. This has caused panic for me, since it was a 45 mph zone, and it was ok.
All the indicator lights are activated on the dashboard. They go off after disconnecting the negative battery terminal bit CO. E back on later.
While driving my 2019 Honda Accord, after about five minutes on the road, multiple warning lights suddenly appeared on the dashboard. The emission system, brake system, power steering, tpms, acc, hill start assist, collision mitigation, and vehicle stability assist warnings all came on at the same time. The alerts caused concern for safety, as several major systems such as steering assist, braking, and driver-assist features appeared to malfunction simultaneously. The issue seems related to an electrical or charging system failure (such as the alternator or battery), since all of these systems rely on stable voltage to operate correctly. The incident occurred without warning and could have resulted in loss of steering assist or engine power while driving.
Hello- I am writing in regards to my 2019 Honda Accord sport. All the lights on the dashboard randomly comes on . I’ve had the car checked out at the dealership and they don’t seem to know why the light is on besides maybe the computer needs to be reset . There are hundreds of other Honda owners with the same issue. I would like to know what is Honda’s resolution to this issue that’s lot of customers are having . Thank you.
The warning lights for many areas has come on without warning. The car runs and drives fine. Took it to Honda. They want between 500 - 2500 to resolve the issue and replace the front radar. This appears to be a consistent problem for these 2018 Hondas. I already had to have the fuel injectors replaced at 48k miles. Another common Honda problem. Please help us as consumers.
These also are warning signals that keep coming on I took it to autozone obd scanner said is was misfire cylinder2got spark plug changed and engine coil still showing same thing on scanner.
The issue involves the adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking systems. When engaged, the system intermittently and unexpectedly applies full braking force while I am changing lanes on the freeway, even when no vehicle is directly in front of my car. This has occurred multiple times at highway speeds, causing the car to slam on the brakes abruptly, which poses a serious safety risk particularly when other vehicles are following closely behind. The issue most commonly happens when the adaptive cruise control is active, but it has also occurred occasionally when the system is not engaged. There are no consistent warning messages or error indicators before the event, aside from the brief flashing of the emergency brake light at the moment of braking. The problem has not yet been inspected or confirmed by a dealer, manufacturer, or independent service center.
In 2 instances the car put on brakes for no reason. Nothing was in front of car. I was traveling roughly 70 mph and car slowed down and brake indicator came on, also going 75 with cruise control on and the system that brakes the car slowed the car down and then just quit working. Warning lights came on saying system failure but after car was turned off then turned back on there were no warnings.
Summary of incident: for approximately two years, my vehicle has experienced random electrical issues. All dashboard warning lights will flash at random times. When I take the vehicle to the dealership (bell Honda), the problem disappears before it can be diagnosed. On September 27, 2025, and again on September 28, 2025, the vehicle completely stopped and shut off while I was driving. It would not restart. The hazard lights were stuck on and could not be turned off. This left me stranded and in a dangerous situation. After approximately 2-3 minutes, the vehicle was able to restart, but numerous warning lights remained illuminated on the dashboard. I had the vehicle tested with a diagnostic tool at an autozone, but no apparent issues were found in the system. Additional information: this is an ongoing and unresolved safety issue that Honda has failed to address. This electrical problem, which causes the vehicle to shut down unexpectedly, is a significant safety hazard. This issue is in addition to another ongoing problem with the remote start system, which Honda has refused to diagnose and fix. Consequences and concerns: the unexpected shutdown of the vehicle while in operation is extremely dangerous and could lead to a serious accident. The inability to use hazard lights properly further increases the risk to myself and other drivers. The intermittent nature of the problem makes it difficult to diagnose, but the consistent occurrence poses a serious risk that requires immediate investigation by Honda and the NHTSA.
