In 2023, the car had a rough start during cold weather. Honda confirmed there was a service bulletin and told me my fuel injectors were likely failing. It’s a known issue. For 2 winters, I used sea foam to manage the problem. This winter, the dash completely lit up. I returned to Honda for an update to new version of the same service bulletin. They did the fix but it did not solve the problem. Tonight my car went into limp home mode and had to be towed to the mechanic for the fuel injector repair. We were on nc interstate 540 when the car rapidly lost acceleration and luckily made it to a gas station for safe pick up. Me, my passenger and other drivers were all endangered the 3 times I had to pull over to stop and restart the car.

Fuel pump is bad causing the car not to start.
Full pump engine.
The vehicle, a 2019 Honda Accord, experienced a catastrophic engine failure (blown head gasket) and entered "limp mode" after being operated for approximately 18 months with an unaddressed, high-priority federal safety recall (NHTSA 23v-858). The vehicle currently displays dtcs p0100, p0113, and p023d, which indicate severe air/fuel metering and boost pressure correlation failures. Primary cause: consequential thermal stress the primary cause is likely thermal degradation of the head gasket resulting from a prolonged "lean-burn" condition. Recall defect: the recalled fuel pump impeller is known to deform, restricting fuel flow. Lean condition: a restricted fuel supply causes the engine to run "lean" (too much air, not enough fuel). Lean combustion is significantly hotter than normal combustion. Heat accumulation: over 1. 5 years of operation with this restricted flow, the engine experienced repeated, excessive thermal cycles that compromised the structural integrity of the head gasket. Limp mode trigger: the stored codes (p0100/p0113) show the ecu was struggling to compensate for the erratic fuel/air environment created by the failing pump. Secondary assessment (the dealer's claim): the service advisor (paul) has alleged that aftermarket components and a missing turbo gasket caused the failure. Assessment: while aftermarket parts increase scrutiny, a missing external turbo gasket typically causes an exhaust leak or loss of boost, not an internal head gasket failure. Contradiction: the dealer must provide empirical proof that these parts caused the failure, whereas the NHTSA recall is a pre-documented, manufacturer-admitted defect known to cause the exact stalling and "limp mode" symptoms the vehicle is currently exhibiting. Conclusion: the most probable cause is manufacturer negligence. By failing to provide a remedy part for 18 months, the manufacturer forced the vehicle to operate under a documented defect that creates the exact high-heat conditions required to cau.

The vehicle is misfiring due to faulty fuel injectors. Causing every light on the dash to come on.
Lost power without any warning while taking an exit on the highway. Fortunately, I was able to pull over without an incident. Mechanic scanned : p0087. Replaced high pressure fuel pump assembly and associated parts. Honda had a recall on 2013-2014 models. Extremely likely this problem persisted in the 2015 model but Honda did not include this model year in the recall. Very expensive repair.

After vehicle got serviced an open recall for fuel pump, my car has been having issues. I know is related to the head gasket/fuel injections. My car has been great, monthly maintenance service up until I got that recall fixed. I now regret it getting repaired, but I had to, to be able to receive my dmv tags. I was driving about 45 mph and vehicle stopped accelerating will not speed over 20 mph and the check engine light turned on. Just got full transmission flush and oil change and this happened. I read many article online that this happens after this recall repair to the Accord 1. 5t ex2018.
Driving home on highway at 3am, car losses all power studders & stalls out with no warning.

The fuel system on my 2022 Honda Accord malfunctioned and caused a sudden loss of power while my teenage son was driving. On 12/03/2025 at approximately 4:50 pm, the vehicle went into reduced-power (limp) mode while traveling in heavy highway traffic on a busy highway in a metro-area of >450,000 people. There was no shoulder available in which he could navigate onto. He was unable to accelerate and had to coast approximately one mile at low speed while many, many cars were driving around him during rush hour traffic , which created a dangerous situation with vehicles traveling at normal highway speeds. A Honda dealership has previously inspected and confirmed the problem. On 07/28/2025, the service center documented lean fuel condition, misfire codes (p0301, p0304), failed fuel-rail pressure, and injector-related faults. They recommended replacement of fuel-system components. The printed report and repair estimate are available for inspection upon request. Prior to the safety incident, the vehicle intermittently displayed symptoms such as hesitation during acceleration and irregular engine operation, but no permanent warning light stayed on. The failure has progressed over time and the same loss-of-power condition can recur at any time. This poses a risk because loss of propulsion in moving traffic can lead to a collision. The component issue has been confirmed by the Honda dealer, and documentation is attached. I am filing this report because the failure creates a safety hazard, has been reproduced by a local dealership, and has not been resolved. The repair show suggested I return to Honda for repair. Furthermore, during my research of this problem, I discovered tens of thousands of complaints from others experiencing this exact issue, including new low mileage vehicles. These complaints are available on all social media platforms and search engines, with each complaint indicating problems with the fuel injectors on engines using direct fuel injection.

Honda had a fuel pump recall but the fuel pump issue is causing fuel injectors to go bad. Rough idling and loss of power.
At just under 60,000 miles, the check engine light came on with 10 warnings all at once when the car was started. When I took it to Honda they said that 2 of the cylinders are misfiring and the fuel injectors need to be replaced. These are failing far too early on this model of vehicle and it is likely due to the recalled fuel injector that they took years to replace due to inventory. There should be a recall for the fuel injectors.
There is loss of power when accelerating and all the warning lights are staying on when the car starts which is disengaging all of the advanced driver assistant systems.
Several system warnings. Dealership diagnostic "bad fuel injectors" vehicle has 62,735 miles.
While driving my 2020 Honda Accord hybrid, VIN [xxx] , the car would start exhibiting rough engine feels, and all of the dashboard lights would come on. The car would lose power at highway speeds, and I’d have to pull over to turn the car off and on. When checking on obdii meter, getting p0301 codes. I have replaced the coils and plugs twice and still not better. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Gas filler "system" does not have screw on/off gas cap. It has a rubber covering with a slit through which driver inserts gasoline station hose metal nozzle. When removing gasoline station hose nozzle, rubber slit "appears to close" but drops of gasoline remain on the rubber covering & drop onto the vehicle body. I wipe off gasoline drops with paper towel. I'm concerned about large amount of gasoline used & question if "rubber slit covering" provided instead of a tighten screw on/off gas cap allows gasoline/vapor to evaporate & condense on rubber covering of car fuel delivery hose to tank. This occurs in very cold weather as well as warm weather. Recall information on "Honda fuel pump" doesn't include this vehicle fuel delivery system issue. Aunt sold me the 2019 Honda Accord sedan recently on November 19, 2025. I didn't notice this "no locked gas door" (push on gasoline door to open the door) which opens to rubber "pouch with slit" covering over delivery hose filling area down to gas tank. Aunt sees these 2 mechanisms as making filling gas tank easier without release of inside lever lock to gas delivery door nor having to turn a screw cap to open/close at gas station fueling. Aunt is instructed by Honda darcar/fairfax, va to take Honda Accord in for maintenance only once a year. She was told she can check electronics system info regarding "% oil life remaining" as guide to when to get an oil change. A problem at this point is an alterable/'reset-able" electronics guide to when to get an oil change which can change "% oil life remaining" by accidental reset. By comparison, my now out-of-service 2011 Honda Accord had a normal locked gas filling door release from inside which opened onto a screw cap which could be tightened to stop gas vapor leak, evaporation/condensation & for gas theft & vandalism protection & an unalterable "% oil life remaining" wrench icon which resets only after oil change. Has this been reported? [xxx] [xxx] Dec 17, 2025. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (fo.
Engine knock caused by oil dilution which is known manufacturing issues with my model of car.
I have a 2018 Honda Accord sport 1. 5 the issue started after getting my fuel pump replaced as part of the recall. While driving, all of the dashboard lights came on. Warning messages kept flashing on the dash. This car was driving perfectly fine before the fuel pump was replaced. When the codes are cleared, the car drives perfectly fine. The dashboard lights will periodically turn off but ultimately come back on and as a result, the car goes into limp mode. Coils, sparkplugs, breakers have been switched out and oil levels have been checked. When the car is scanned, the codes are reading a misfire with the coils but, the coils that are allegedly misfiring were just replaced. The car jerks while attempting to accelerate, and after a few miles, it goes into limp mode. I have tried every type of repair that has been suggested to me by the mechanic but the issues persist.
Car has lost power or gone into "limp mode" while driving on multiple occasions. Car was never listed under the fuel pump recall but had all associated symptoms & problems. Had to have fuel pumps replaced in December 2023 due to car not starting because of faulty fuel pumps. Car has been properly maintenced since purchased brand new in February 2018. Currently around 121,000 miles. Car overheated this past summer, coolant seems to be leaking somewhere as just filled with coolant month ago and needed to refill with about quarter to refill to correct amount. Oil also seems to be having slow leakage problem somewhere within the engine as there is excessive oil on drip pan. Had all 4 spark plugs changed in March of 2025. Car has been going into limp mode and looses power for few seconds to minutes sometimes, almost causing multiple accidents while driving on highways. Pull over to shut off and give few minutes to restart and able to resume driving no warnings before this occurs. Randomly all dashboard lights light up 2 weeks ago and put car into limp mode, was driving on highway at high rate of speed (65mph) safety was compromised several times while this occurs. Engine seems create knocking sounds to known due to oil dilution problem. Cold weather seems to affect issues to onset more often. Also been having stalled or rough start ups in colder weather or when engine is not warmed up. Researching these issues seems to be that 2018 Honda Accords had known head gasket failure. This should become a class action lawsuit and also a recall.
This has happened out of the blue and randomly more than once recently. Loss of power/no acceleration. Once it had no acceleration when taking off from a stopped position, and then again it lost acceleration while driving at a speed of around 50mph the car would no longer accelerate, had to pull off to the side of the road and turned the car off and let it sit for a few minutes and then restarted the car and it resumed to function normally. There are no codes in the system, no warning lights, this has happened 4 different times now. Honda says they cant do anything if they cant make it repeat the problem when they diagnosis it and if the system doesnt have any active codes in it.
While driving the car studders & stalles on highways. Throws all the lights on. The vehicle. Vehicle goes into limped mode & you have to clear it out before driving it.
The problem I am having with my vehicle Honda Accord 2018 is with the head gasket. I was on the highway and as I was driving suddenly all the signs came on the display and gave a warning that my vehicle is overheating and it came down to 20mph while I was on the highway. This was very risky to me and the other vehicle around me.
Unknown.
My car lost power while driving on multiple occasions. My car was originally on the fuel pump recall list but the dealership did not have the part for 6+ months. When the part did come in I found out my car was no longer on the recall list. I had to have my fuel pump injectors replaced due to a faulty fuel pump.
While pulling into a parking spot my car unexpectedly accelerated. Brakes were unresponsive even after placing both feet on the brake pedal. Vehicle stopped only after I hit a tree. Engine continued to rev at which point I placed the vehicle in park and shut off the engine. Although the impact of the crash was severe my 1airbag did not deploy.
I own a 2018 Honda Accord that was subject to a fuel pump recall. The dealership replaced the fuel pump in July 2025 as part of the recall. Shortly after the replacement, all dashboard warning lights illuminated. I took the vehicle in for diagnostic inspection and was informed that the fuel injector and head gasket had failed. The estimated cost of repairs is $5369. 69. I believe these failures may be related to the fuel system recall or indicate a broader defect in the vehicle’s engine or fuel components. I am deeply concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle, especially since these issues arose immediately after the recall repair. I am currently unable to afford the repair, and I fear the vehicle may pose a risk to myself and others on the road. This situation has caused me significant stress and anxiety. The unexpected financial burden has disrupted my personal and professional life, and I feel unsafe driving a vehicle that may have underlying defects. I am frustrated that a recall repair may have led to even more severe mechanical issues, and I am left without clear support or resolution. I had no choice but to pay for the repairs out of pocket, despite the financial strain. I am seeking guidance on how this cost might be recovered—whether through manufacturer assistance, warranty extension, or further recall action. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether this issue is connected to the existing recall or represents a wider safety defect affecting other vehicles of the same make and model.

The car when pressing the accelerator will decelerate and go limp and won’t move. This is happening to a lot of Honda Accords. This will cause an serious accident.
Fuel injectors went bad and caused several warnings to pop up at one time. Vehicle begin to stall on the interstate out of nowhere. Taken to Honda dealership to confirm it was the fuel injectors.
This is very serious while driving on the highway vehicle warning for engine temperature right after check engine came on. I almos crashed becuase the engine temperature close to limit asked to reduce the acceleration but how can I slow down in 2 lines fast highway on very dark night. This very, very unsafely and Honda should take this seriously if they claim safety is priority.
Car will drive fine , then all of a sudden it shuts completely off on the highway which is a major safety concern. All the lights will pop on in the dash board without any warning. Car will act as if it doesn’t want to pick up speed then after about 10-15 mins starts driving fine . This is my second time contacting you all regarding the same issues . Honda needs to definitely do a recall ASAP this is not safe at all to be driving around like this . Alot of customers driving 2018-2022 Honda Accords have been having the same exact issues . .
While driving and pressing gas car would not accelerate and just cut off in road. Vehicle had plenty of gas and no warning light or indications appeared on dash, but car sputtered and slowed quickly to a complete stop while pressing accelerator, then the engine cut off as of it were out of gas.
Gear shift ignition and parts of buttons come on and off. Gear shift lights not at all anymore. The entire tire warped from around tire like it been detached from car and fell outward. I’ve had multiple fuel issues two brand new catalytic converters fuel pump and system cleaned put on filters changed and still have issues.
Driving on highway, check engine light went on and car lost all power would not go over 5 mph scared for my life as I was almost hit by other vehicles traveling at hi rates of speed . I managed to get the car to the shoulder. I turned the car off and restarted, and the car went back to operating normal. Car was checked by a friend who is a mechanic, and he told me there were codes for misfires after checking all the issues that could cause that type of problem he informed me that a pressure test on the coolant system revealed a blown head gasket which allowed coolant to leak in the cylinders causing miss fires due to the anti freeze extinguishing the spark of the spark plugs. I researched this matter and it's see to be a very common problem with many Hondas with the 1. 5 engine.
Coolant leaking into head gasket which now needs to be replaced as it’s causing the whole car to shudder when acclerating and when not letting off the gas the check engine light will come on and the car will not drive anymore. It then needs to be turned off and on again to go away and won’t fix the issue with the studdering.
