1 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/26/2026

I started driving this vehicle and all of a sudden it started slowing down, and would not go up to speed. I had it fixed, the car started skipping, making a jerking movement while driving. I made an appointment with tameron Honda of birmingham on 3/26/26. As soon as I pulled up to Honda dealership the engine light was on. The company was trying to bill me 6100 dollars for fixing the car. I do not have that amount on hand and I need my car. I had to drive my car away from the dealership while it was in idle mode state into traffic the car moved so slowly that I could have wrecked. The dealership did not do their due diligence by going off of the VIN number and making sure that the customer is safe with their brand. I was told that they did a full inspection at the dealership. I have been scared to drive this vehicle since the issue keeps happening.

2 Other Fuel System problem of the 2016 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/25/2026

The engine stop/start system on my 2016 Honda Accord, VIN [xxx], has stalled and shut off without warning in active los angeles traffic dozens of times since September 2025. The vehicle loses all power mid-drive with no warning — no dashboard lights, no warning sounds — leaving me unable to accelerate or respond to surrounding traffic. The condition has progressively worsened and now includes repeated no-start failures requiring three documented tows. The component failing is the engine stop/start system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others hav been put at risk repeatedly. I am a [xxx]. My wife, age [xxx], has [xxx] and has been a passenger during stalling events. Sudden unexpected stalling in active los angeles traffic creates immediate foreseeable risk of rear-end collision and loss of vehicle control. This risk has been experienced dozens of times over six and a half months. The problem has been presented to Honda of hollywood, a certified Honda dealer at 6511 santa monica blvd, los angeles CA 90038, across five separate visits. Each time the dealer concluded no problem could be found. On one visit I was charged nearly $2,000 for spark plugs and a gasket — work with zero diagnostic connection to the stalling complaint. The vehicle was returned to me in an unsafe condition after every visit. On [xxx] the tow truck driver who responded to my third documented tow independently experienced the failure, could not start the vehicle, witnessed the complete failure sequence, and declared the vehicle unsafe to drive. He is an independent third-party witness with no stake in this case. I have video documentation of the vehicle stalling in active traffic on multiple occasions. I have voicemails from Honda of hollywood's own service advisor documenting their diagnostic failures. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

4 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/10/2026

Head gasket failed at 58k miles without overheating per assessment at Honda dealership. Safety was affected by going into limp mode instantly turning left onto 55 mph 4 lane road, no warning lights prior going into limp mode. Brief misfire occurred prior to incident, (did not know at time because it did not seem significant and no warning light). Dealer reports multiple 2018 Honda Accord 1. 5l head gasket and fuel injector failures. Unknown if manufacture would inspect. In addition fuel injector has completely failed and requires replacement per Honda dealership assessment, this occurred after dealership repaired head gasket. Waiting for final repair invoice, can and will provide upon request.

5 Other Fuel System problem of the 2016 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/09/2026

Going home from work, at highway traffic light intersection and car began to shake, sputter. . Engine and oil light briefly came on before car stalled and shut off. In panic put gear into park, turned ignition button, car started and was able to put into drive and proceed. Not long after, on a main road, waiting for turn light, stalled, lost power again. Did not have any acceleration or power. Car was again shaking, luckily pulled into parking lot, put in park, shut off car and back on. When trying to accel, same thing happened as I was half way across 2 lanes, had zero accelerate power, car was shaking/sputtering, but luckily made it across. Car sat off for approximately 10 minutes. Was able to turn on and accelerate to get home without problem. This is a very scary situation to be in, especially in very heavy city traffic conditions. I have never been notified of any sort of recall. A case # has been made with Honda USA. They also let me know that although the year and model of my car was a part of a fuel pump recall, and even though I experienced the same issues that other owners were having in which their vehicles were recalled, that my VIN # was not part of that particular batch recall. Honda dealership shop has diagnosed as a fuel pump. (can provide shop estimate).

6 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/27/2026

I was driving and all the lights on the dash board came on. Including the engine light. I took the vehicle to the dealership service center and they said the turbo function of my engine was failing. And it was still covered under warranty so they fixed that. One day after the picking it up all the lights came back on. I took it back and they stated that the fuel injectors are failing thus causing engine misfires resulting in the engine light coming back on and the car randomly stalling or slowing. They indicated that the fuel injectors are not covered and repairs are around 2,400. 00, I believe this should be covered because there was a previous recall on the fuel on the fuel pump (which is connected to the injectors). Also I don't understand how the "turbo" was still covered under warranty but the injectors are not. Upon doing my research this is a known problem on this make and model and Honda should correct the known defect.

7 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/26/2026

My vehicle is currently suffering a failed head gasket. I was alerted about this issue from local mechanics and friends way before it actually happened. I took it to services and regular maintenance even more frequently after that. However, it still failed no matter what. I took it to the dealership, they even admitted that this is a known problem for this generation of vehicle. They still proceeded to ask nearly $7000 to fix it, saying that even though this is a known issue, there was no recalls on the vehicles so they could not waive or deduct the fees.

8 Other Fuel System problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/21/2026

All the lights on the dashboard went off when there was not any previously. With that issue the gas pedal was struggling to go over 20 mph, it was jolting when gas pedal is used.

9 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/19/2026

My Honda is stalling and it started hesitating on 2/18/26 on the way to work. When getting in my car it started stalling and hesitating again, when getting on the road and driving all the lights came on and acted like it didn’t have fuel to go when the car has fuel.

10 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/18/2026

I am writing to file a complaint on the service that was provided at vann york Honda. On February 17, 2026, I was returning home from work and my car had a hard idle at start up. I was able to drive it home without issue. The next day, February 18, I got in my car and I had another hard idle start with many check engine codes appearing on the dashboard. I drove it to vann york Honda in high point, north carolina for service. I was told it was a faulty fuel injector causing the problem and that it needed to be replaced. I left the car there over night and paid for the service; approximately $3,000. I got the car back on February 19. On February 20, I again had a rough idle on start up. I brought the car back to vann york Honda and advised them that I was experiencing the same issue as before. The mechanic brought it to the back and advised me that he could not find anything wrong with the vehicle and that it is running fine. I expressed my concerns with the vehicle and he stated that without a error code or check engine light being on, it would be difficult to diagnose. The technician and the advisor said to keep driving it until a light comes on saying there is a problem since they could not find an issue. In the following 2 weeks, I had regular rough idles on start up and the fuel efficiency dropped approximately 6 miles per gallon. When I filled the car with gas, the fuel range dropped from 540 to 370. When I called about that issue, they said they reset the computer when performing the previous service on the vehicle and it is taking time for the computer to "learn" the car again. On March 6, I brought the vehicle back to vann york Honda due to many check engine codes appearing on the dashboard. On the way to vann york, the service advisor called me and stated that she would be reaching out to Honda corporate to see about Honda paying for some of the cost of this service. My wife and I drove into the service bay and I spoke with the service adviso.

11 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/17/2026

City street driving speed < 35-40 mph, engine began rough idling at stop light after traveling just 1/8 mile. After driving less than 1 mile on level ground, engine slowed and would not accelerate above 20 mph. After another mile or so, increasing uphill grade caused speed to slow to 12-14 mph. Stepping on gas caused car to slow down even more, with shaking and jerky stop-start of vehicle. Maintaining 10-12 mph permitted vehicle to continue uphill climb for a few more miles so I could reach home. Downhill coasting was smooth with no gas pedal acceleration. Overnight parked in garage, and no problems driving vehicle to local independent auto mechanic. They were able to duplicate problem after 2 days and multiple test drives. Diagnosed permanent and temporary engine codes: misfires of cylinders 1 and 4 with ignition coil malfunction, misfires of cylinders 1, 2, 4, and random misfires. Also permanent codes: antilock brake ecm failure, electric power steering vehicle stability assist system malfunction, electric servo brake electric power train system malfunction. Mechanic removed coils and spark plugs, found cylinder 4 has moisture. Coils, plugs cleaned and re-installed. Honda dealer unable to duplicate problem after 3 days.

12 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/12/2026

Check.

13 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/10/2026

The high-pressure fuel pump on my 2018 Honda Accord failed even though the vehicle had previously been repaired under a recall for the same issue. While driving, multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard, including the check engine light and other system warnings. The vehicle began running rough and lost power, creating a dangerous driving condition, especially in traffic. This is the second occurrence of fuel system failure despite the recall repair being completed. The recurrence of this issue raises serious safety concerns, as sudden power loss or engine malfunction while driving increases the risk of an accident. The vehicle is currently not safe to drive due to the risk of stalling or loss of power. The problem appears to be related to the high-pressure fuel pump system that was previously addressed under recall.

14 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/07/2026

I turned my car on and it didn't want to crank up. Once it did crank up every warning light came on. My son ran the code and p00087 came up. I tried to drive my car in my parking lot and it kept stalling like it was going to cut off. Now I drove my car earlier in the day and didn't have any problems. It wasn't until after my car sat throughout the day when this took place. I know it's a recall for fuel pump issues but my car isn't included.

15 Other Fuel System problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/29/2026

I have a 2017 Honda Accord sport. According to the recall, the low pressure fuel pump has a faulty impeller. My low pressure, in tank, fuel pump failed. The failed pump caused the high pressure fuel pump to fail. Dtc code p00087, low fuel pressure recorded. Symptoms included loss of motive power above 2000 rpm, hard starts, and engine light. According to service bulletin 24-072 all 2013-2017 Accords are affected. However, check VIN for my Accord, which has the exact symptoms, was not included in the recall. I opened a case with Honda (#16134549) for review. Honda denied that this vehicle was part of the recall and they will not assist with the repair. Come on Honda do the right thing!.

16 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/28/2026

I purchased this 2018 Honda Accord sport brand new from the dealership, relying on Honda’s longstanding reputation for reliability and longevity. At approximately 120,000 miles, the vehicle suffered a blown head gasket during normal driving conditions. The vehicle has been properly maintained According to Honda’s recommended schedule. I have already opened a claim with Honda corporate regarding this issue and am currently awaiting their response. Despite proper maintenance, this catastrophic engine failure occurred, suggesting a design or manufacturing defect rather than misuse. This issue presents both a safety concern and a substantial financial burden, as I am a single mother of four who depends on this vehicle for daily transportation. Based on reports from other owners, this appears to be a widespread defect affecting 10th-generation Honda Accords with the 1. 5l turbo engine, which I respectfully request NHTSA investigate.

17 Other Fuel System problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/27/2026

All the panel lights on the dashboard lit up. Honda says I need new injectors for about $2000. The car only has about 66,000 miles. They also say a need a new head unit, for the entertainment system. I have had three other Honda Accords before this, averaging over 200,000 miles. Never problems like this.

18 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/23/2026

This 2019 Honda Accord was part of the fuel pump recall that occurred in 23/24. The vehicle was taken in and had the fuel pump fixed at the dealership under the recall. From that point we have begun to have issues with the fuel injectors. The vehicle started to run rough, and then all of the dash lights came on. All accessory items, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, etc, all stay on as if malfunctioning. The vehicle was taken into dealership and diagnostic was run, results was two failing fuel injectors. Calls were placed to Honda and request was made to have them assist in a goodwill repair since so many of these vehicles are experiencing the same issue after the recall repair was made. Honda did a review of the diagnostic report and reported problem and stated that the vehicle fell outside of the warranty on the fuel injectors, and that they would not honor any assistance in repairs. They stated case was closed and no further conversations could be had. I mentioned that I knew that they had issued an extended warranty on 2016-2019 Honda crv's and civics for the fuel injectors up to 150,000 miles. They stated that my vehicle VIN did not fall within those, which I acknowledge. Vehicle is still malfunctioning and we will be responsible for the repairs, even though this is a well known issue after the fuel pump recall repair. It was stated that we will just need to fix the repairs on our own, which is over $2000 and that, if in the future, there is a recall or extended warranty offered then we could try and speak with them about possibly getting our money back.

19 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/21/2026

A 2018 Honda Accord 1. 5t developed an engine misfire, coolant loss, and reduced acceleration shortly after purchase from a dealership on 01/07/2026 (around 156,000 miles / $15,000). On 01/23/2026, during a Honda dealer inspection at about 157,255 miles, the technician noted misfires on startup, found the coolant overflow reservoir empty, pressure-tested the system, and confirmed coolant leaking into cylinders 3 and 4 from the head gasket. The dealer recommended head gasket replacement plus spark plugs, drive belt, and valve adjustment. I was told that continued driving could worsen the condition, leading to overheating and further engine damage. After that diagnosis, the vehicle’s drivability worsened, and it became unsafe to rely on due to misfires and loss of acceleration, especially on the highway. The selling dealership refused to assist, claiming the defect was not present at the time of sale; Honda America acknowledged the head gasket concern but denied a goodwill claim, citing the high cost of the issue and lack of NHTSA enforcement on this issue. An independent repair shop then provided a second inspection/estimate consistent with the same head-gasket repair scope. The vehicle and repair records are available for inspection. No crash or injury occurred, but the defect caused a sudden loss of power and overheating while driving; I was stuck on the highway on two occasions with my hazard lights on after acceleration completely halted. Warning symptoms (the engine light) only appeared when the car suddenly stopped accelerating. Two days after an around-$5,000 headgasket repair, drivability problems and multiple dashboard warnings appeared, including turbo-related concerns; this concern is ongoing.

20 Other Fuel System problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/21/2026

My car shut off on the road. I tried to accelerate but all my lights on the dashboard came on. I wasn’t able to accelerate more than 20mph. I was about to make it back home. Today I tried to take it out on a test drive, it’s drivable but I was not able to accelerate. Every time I pressed the gas, my car would stall. This is the 4th time it happened.

21 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/19/2026

My vehicle started having issues with misfires approximately 2 years after I bought it in January 2020. I bought it new from the dealership in salinas California. I took it to morgan hill Honda for repairs. It’s had 2 misfires and I took it in for a fuel pump recall. About 2 weeks later all my lights in my dash come on. I took it in to get looked at and they said it’s the turbo engine, $3k to fix it. I’ve had nothing but problems and it’s like a bandaid of a fix every time. The first time it happened I was merging onto highway [xxx] and it gave out and slowed down to 25mph. I had to pull over to the shoulder almost caused an accident. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

22 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/15/2026

There are many warming lamps on in the car. My car won't pick up speed it in limp mode once I crank up. I have to turn it off and restart any order for it to go and pick up speed. My number 3 plug keep showing something wrong it has been replaced multiple times but still having the same issue. I had it checked out it's saying the same problem fuel. I have had my fuel pump change and still having problems. 2018 are bad models for Honda and there should be multiple recalls because everyone having the same problems. Head gaskets, fuel injection, turbo problems as well as fuel pump.

23 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/12/2026

Was told I have a blown head gasket on cylinder 3 with 90k miles on my vehicle. No check engine light has been on.

24 Other Fuel System problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/11/2026

Was operating the vehicle at about 30mph and the braking system started malfunctioning by giving me limited braking power and throwing a bunch of lights on the dash along with sudden loss of acceleration. Tried to press the pedal again and it didn’t respond I drifted to a stop in the middle a lane in the road. Had to shut vehicle off then restart to regain function. All conditions were clear outside. The dealer I bought it from has been very suspicious since the purchase. Bought as a “certified pre-owned” but have had nothing but problems in the couple weeks of owning. Such as the tpms system continuously going off saying “low tire pressure” the dealer has seen it multiple times and still can’t figure out the problem. They said they’re gonna start “throwing random parts at it” issues just continue to get worse with little to no cooperation with the dealership. Will be inspected in the morning once it’s towed in. No longer feel safe operating vehicle. Warning lamps came on after the malfunction. Then flickered on and off a few times then stayed on when I restarted the vehicle.

25 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/05/2026

Sacramento CA , car stopped in the middle of the highway couldn’t accelerate, won’t let me advance past 20 mph gas fuel was changed earlier in 2025 but I’m sure it’s the fuel injectors.

26 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/02/2026

Engine began to have an odd stutter and trouble accelerating which was initially believed to be spark plugs after a full tune up did not fix the issue took to my local mechanic. Diagnosed the issue as bad fuel injectors likely due to the fuel pump recall. Code popped up as cylinder misfire initially which didn't make much sense considering a full tune up was completed less than a month prior. After further diagnosis issue was found to be a blown head gasket causing several thousand dollars in repair due to having to completely disassemble and reassemble the engine.

27 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/27/2025

In 2023, the car had a rough start during cold weather. Honda confirmed there was a service bulletin and told me my fuel injectors were likely failing. It’s a known issue. For 2 winters, I used sea foam to manage the problem. This winter, the dash completely lit up. I returned to Honda for an update to new version of the same service bulletin. They did the fix but it did not solve the problem. Tonight my car went into limp home mode and had to be towed to the mechanic for the fuel injector repair. We were on nc interstate 540 when the car rapidly lost acceleration and luckily made it to a gas station for safe pick up. Me, my passenger and other drivers were all endangered the 3 times I had to pull over to stop and restart the car.

28 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/25/2025

All lights on dash. Fuel injectors need replacing at 35000 miles.

29 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/24/2025

Fuel pump is bad causing the car not to start.

30 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/22/2025

Full pump engine.

31 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/22/2025

Loss of power engine malfunction on 2022 Honda Accord sport 1. 5 t experiencing repeated misfire codes, fuel injector failure, and suspected head gasket coolant intrusion. Vehicle has never overheated and maintenance has been performed as required. A second Honda service center advised, they have repaired multiple Accord sport 1. 5 vehicles with the same failure pattern. Honda corporate opened case #16059306 but multiple voicemails to assigned case contact have gone unanswered. Concerned about safety due to potential engine failure or loss of power while driving.

32 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/17/2025

The vehicle, a 2019 Honda Accord, experienced a catastrophic engine failure (blown head gasket) and entered "limp mode" after being operated for approximately 18 months with an unaddressed, high-priority federal safety recall (NHTSA 23v-858). The vehicle currently displays dtcs p0100, p0113, and p023d, which indicate severe air/fuel metering and boost pressure correlation failures. Primary cause: consequential thermal stress the primary cause is likely thermal degradation of the head gasket resulting from a prolonged "lean-burn" condition. Recall defect: the recalled fuel pump impeller is known to deform, restricting fuel flow. Lean condition: a restricted fuel supply causes the engine to run "lean" (too much air, not enough fuel). Lean combustion is significantly hotter than normal combustion. Heat accumulation: over 1. 5 years of operation with this restricted flow, the engine experienced repeated, excessive thermal cycles that compromised the structural integrity of the head gasket. Limp mode trigger: the stored codes (p0100/p0113) show the ecu was struggling to compensate for the erratic fuel/air environment created by the failing pump. Secondary assessment (the dealer's claim): the service advisor (paul) has alleged that aftermarket components and a missing turbo gasket caused the failure. Assessment: while aftermarket parts increase scrutiny, a missing external turbo gasket typically causes an exhaust leak or loss of boost, not an internal head gasket failure. Contradiction: the dealer must provide empirical proof that these parts caused the failure, whereas the NHTSA recall is a pre-documented, manufacturer-admitted defect known to cause the exact stalling and "limp mode" symptoms the vehicle is currently exhibiting. Conclusion: the most probable cause is manufacturer negligence. By failing to provide a remedy part for 18 months, the manufacturer forced the vehicle to operate under a documented defect that creates the exact high-heat conditions required to cau.

33 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/12/2025

The vehicle is misfiring due to faulty fuel injectors. Causing every light on the dash to come on.

34 Other Fuel System problem of the 2015 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/08/2025

Lost power without any warning while taking an exit on the highway. Fortunately, I was able to pull over without an incident. Mechanic scanned : p0087. Replaced high pressure fuel pump assembly and associated parts. Honda had a recall on 2013-2014 models. Extremely likely this problem persisted in the 2015 model but Honda did not include this model year in the recall. Very expensive repair.

35 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/08/2025

After vehicle got serviced an open recall for fuel pump, my car has been having issues. I know is related to the head gasket/fuel injections. My car has been great, monthly maintenance service up until I got that recall fixed. I now regret it getting repaired, but I had to, to be able to receive my dmv tags. I was driving about 45 mph and vehicle stopped accelerating will not speed over 20 mph and the check engine light turned on. Just got full transmission flush and oil change and this happened. I read many article online that this happens after this recall repair to the Accord 1. 5t ex2018.
