1 Electrical System problem of the 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 10/10/2025

I purchased my vehicle in March 25th 2024 a message on my dashboard saying engine is too hot so in August of this year I took it to the shop for a diagnosis test and they told me that the car didn’t run hot when they drove it so again in October 10th I was driving home and my car lost power on the freeway so I pulled over and then all my lights on the dashboard came on so I took it to the shop on October 13th and they told me that my head gasket was faulty and my coolant system was faulty. To me a major problem should have not happened within a years time and I had my maintenance done on my car like I should have.

2 Electrical System problem of the 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 10/06/2025

While driving ~70 mph on highway on adaptive cruise control, the car suddenly lost all power/acceleration, including power steering and all warning lights flashed on the dashboard. I recalled some were break system, acc, abcs, check engine, power, tpms. . . Etc. Essentially any warning light accord has was flashing. The car slowed with no power steering, I managed to parked on the shoulder and turned on hazard light. This is extremely dangerous as the highway traffic was extremely heavy. After I parked, I pressed the engine start/stop button thinking I needed to "turn it off" but the car already had lost power at that point anyway. After pressing it a couple times, the car restarted and I drove to the dealer with one error message remaining on the dashboard - "emission system problem. Power may be reduced. See you dealer. " and the check engine light was on.

5 Electrical System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 07/13/2019

Honda Accord Hybrid 2018: 1. Repeatedly at random intervals during hot weather I hear loud buzzing vibration sound coming from area housing high voltage lithium ion battery!!! over the past one year. Always while parked after driving. I fear over heating or fire from high voltage lithium ion battery!!! Honda dealer response: we don't hear any noise now. We have no way to check high voltage battery. 2. October 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid recalls for "high voltage lithium ion battery" were for computer reset codes(????) whatever that means. 3. Neither Honda nor NHTSA show any concern! help! is there anyone else out there with a Honda Accord Hybrid who hears this loud buzzing vibration from the high voltage battery? anyone else fear fires from the high voltage lithium ion battery? 4. High voltage lithium battery never achieves full charge! never holds more than 3 bar segments out of 10 for charge.

6 Electrical System problem of the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 05/02/2019

I purchased this car and noticed the drive and passenger led light bars continue to burn out, even after warranty expires. When taken to the dealership, they will not honor replacements after warranty. Replacement costs are~1700. This has been an ongoing issue with Honda on these vehicles and should be covered until permanent fix is found.

7 Electrical System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 02/25/2019

I purchased a new 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid on June 30, 2018 from Honda of kirkland for my daughter. On Monday, February 25, 2019, when she was driving back from class on a road at 35 mph, the collision mitigation system brake warning flashed then braked immediately, stopping the car in traffic. No obstacles or cars were in front of her. Fortunately, the cars behind her were far enough away that they were able to stop. In addition, she tried to get out of the way of traffic by pressing the accelerator, but the car would not respond for several moments after the automatic braking occurred. She also told me that the brake warning had been coming on often when nothing was in front of her. In addition, the lane departure feature has been malfunctioning, trying to pull her to the left lane into oncoming traffic when driving on curving roads. The car is currently at the Honda dealership, but the only thing they found was "a little dirt" on one of the sensors, stating that there was nothing wrong with the Honda sensing system. I have found class action lawsuits filed against Honda for faulty collision mitigation systems on at least two of their models (accord & crv). In addition, I have found pages of results for these problems with Honda and Acura (Honda corporation) when simply typing in "collision mitigation system problems". Please see the links below.

8 Electrical System problem of the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 01/24/2019

On my way back to home in san diego CA in late Jan 2019 the panel started showing warning signs like brake system light on, adaptive cruise control/road departure mitigation/lane keeping assist system (lkas) lights are all on saying failure. This was the second time for my around 2000 miles Accord Hybrid. The first time it was able to resolve by re-power on the car but second time it was completely failed. Then I went back to dealer the other day and it turned out the multipurpose camera did not work properly under rain and low temperature (it was just typical san diego winter) so they replaced one. It is extremely dangerous since I have seen people reported the same issue everywhere. After the replacement the auto-highbeam started working as well, before I didnt even know it was not working. . 13 Electrical System problem of the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 04/27/2018

On Friday, April 27, 2018, while driving on a major highway and parkway on three occasions I had a system failure while driving and lost braking ability. I applied the brake pedal & the car didn't slow down. I used the handheld parking brake to stop. When the car was turned off & restarted systems all worked for a few minutes & then failed again. I drove off the highway to safety & parked. On Saturday, April 28, 2018, I drove the car to Honda service center. Service advisor fenix did not believe me but they ended up giving me a loaner car. On Monday, April 30, 2018, I received a call from service advisor fenix asking if the service manager could drive my car home because they cannot find any issues with my car or my brakes. I said yes. Service manager experienced the same system failure that I experienced while he was driving home. On may 12, 2018 I picked up my car from Honda and was told issue was fixed. On may 17, 2018, at about 6:22 am, I was driving on the cross island parkway in heavy rain when I once again experienced a total system failure resulting in my car not having the ability to stop by applying the brakes. I stopped again by utilizing the parking brake. Honda towing towed the car to the Honda dealership where an employee then drove the car to the Honda service center and then returned to the dealership in a different car to pick me up and transport me to the service center. I have no confidence in this car and cannot ever see myself driving it or allowing my family to ride in it regardless of who is driving it as it is not safe!!.

15 Electrical System problem of the 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 01/07/2018

I had purchased brand new Accord Hybrid 2015 in December 2015 and in January 2018 car battery is drained fully due to unknown reason. Last night , in -5f temperature my car broke on the road and I have seen worst in my life due to car issue on the road. I would appreciate , if you look into the quality of battery issue being placed in car from Honda and various dealers as it sounds sketchy to me. Even if I drove 45k miles battery should last longer on newer car compare older cars. I would appreciate , if you can look into it more closely.

The turn signals did not work, the emergency flasher did not work, power steering stopped and brakes worked only with pumping and pushing hard, car had no power. With tractor-trailers and vehicles on both sides, in front and in the rear, all going 70 mph the situation was extremely dangerous. 21 Electrical System problem of the 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid

Failure Date: 06/01/2010

Takata air bag, ima, power steering, and lemon laws broken. Everyone making 2005 hybrid complaints contact me at hubbcap1@comcast. Net for potential lawsuit for Honda violating all laws mentioned in civic lawsuit. We have the same rights as civic owners, the same problems, the same Honda corp. We can find someone to help us if we stick together as a group. Individuals have no rights - groups do!! that is Honda's view obviously. 2005 hybrid owners unite against Honda. The Honda service department still has not fixed my power steering - they don't know how! the ima hybrid still does not work and light still stays on. The air bag has not been fixed either. No issues have been fixed and Honda continues to deny our rights for a safe vehicle!!! now they are coming out with a new Accord Hybrid. When they haven't resolved the issues plagued by Honda hybrids!! they won'd buy back my Honda fair and equitable price. I have owned 4 Honda's and the 2005 Accord Hybrid was a lemon from the very start and Honda knew and knows it and won't do anything!!!.
